Military: 100,000 professional soldiers ( 1/8th of his population - CaptLasky ) readily available across the Republic. Soldiers from the heart of the Republic are noted to be highly disciplined, while troops from border regions are often considered wild and unruly.

Culture: The Balan Kingdom heavily emphasized strength and skill at arms as what determined a man's worth...

...In the older parts of the Republic, the martial culture of the Balan Kingdom still remains strong. The descendants of noble families still emphasize undying loyalty and train for a life of battle...

History: ...King Bob Bail the Builder when he conquered a petty Dwarven kingdom and used their gold to decorate his halls...

...The Kingdom saw many wars and rebellions...

The rest of you can discuss your nations own relations to each other before the thread began as you see fit.
