A furry tail rubbed across the boy's face to get his attention. "Huh? What is it Daskal?" Daskal was still sitting on his shoulder facing backwards at the ominous house. "Do you actually see something in the house?"
An explosion blasted out of the second story of the home hurtling wood, glass, and dust everywhere around it. Fire soon overcame the rest of the house, and it was in a blaze in only a matter of seconds; the sight was both spontaneously majestic and horrifically dangerous. As a cloud of smoke ensued the home the figure of a man flew out from the side, and dashed off along the rooftops towards the western exit.
"What the hell was that??" shouted Magenta who had just lost all confidence that this side of town was safe. Now holding tightly onto the boy she gasped at the next event. "Someone's in the building!" It was true. A body coated in flame stumbled to the missing wall of the second floor and collapsed at the edge. "We have to do something!"
"The runes! Get some runes from the girl! She's bound to have something helpful!" Daskal shouted into the boy's ear. By now a crowd of people were forming around the scene.
The boy made a grab for Magenta's rune pouch. As he pulled out a handful of the tiny stones, he quickly shuffled through them all for anything that may be helpful. After remembering what Magenta had said about the need for air and one of the destruction runes with the specific element you want, the boy held in his hand a mass of stones differing from the colors crimson, blue, and white. Holding his hands at the burning home he clapped them together and let loose a massive torrent of water.
"Holy hell..." muttered the boy as he stood in awe of his magic work. The wave of water hit the house like a storm ceasing the flame in an instant. "How in the world did I just do that?" The crowd's attention soon shifted from the home to the boy standing down the road with his eyes fixed on his hands.
