Lowe was tense and uneasy, he was still in his ‘hunter mode’, where he was alert and ready for action, but now he was stuck in a shop, in thick fog, with what appeared to be a bunch of mentally ill people wondering the street. He kept his bow in his lap, an arrow in his fingers, just in case. A man opened the door, and walked inside and began to browse. Lowe watched him carefully.
“Those people, weird huh?” the middle aged man complained.
“...Yeah, I don’t understand it.” Lowe agreed. The man bought several arrows and a bow, and left without another word. Lowe decided he was going to close the shop early; it’d be noon in a few minutes, he’d close down then. He waited patiently, starring at the ticking clock that hung above his door. And that’s when he saw them, two of them running past his window. The door flung open, he gripped his bow tightly and prepared to aim it... when he realized it was simply Aiden and Caden on their morning run.
“Lowe, you okay?” Aiden said slamming the door shut, and placing a chair to keep it closed. He sighed and relaxed in his chair some.
“I’m fine, yeah. Any reason you barricaded my door?” he took note of the fact they were both fully armored and wore backpacks, filled with supplies.
“I don’t know what it is... but it’s not right.” Aiden seemed to be speaking crazy-person talk, but Lowe had been feeling the same way without vocalizing it, he figured they might need to do... something?
“So what do you think we should do?” he asked the twins.
“Get Azura, get out of town, stay out of town for a few days?”
“Yeah, alright.” Lowe stood up and ran upstairs to get some of his things. Aiden and Caden waited patiently, arms crossed, eyes fixed on the big display window; they tried not to miss anything. Through the thick fog, a single scream echoed, and some fighting was briefly audible before fading out.
