Ah. Gravity off with one of those strange human tunes playing in the background. The first time something like this had happened had been cause for alarm, but now...well, the fact the Nyx was floating next to the wall with his eyes closed basically said it all. One learned to relax when something like this took over, and cracking an eye open and watching other crew members struggling with it was also fun to see.
It wasn’t like he had anywhere to go; his job wasn’t exactly relevant when they weren’t in danger. Besides, he had just finished augmenting the his blaster scope - for better or worse, he never could tell, and neither could anyone else since he never seemed to stop - and that meant it was time to wait around until there was something else to do. Strolling around the ship wasn’t bad, although by this point he had already memorized the layout and people that frequented each area. It wasn’t needed anymore, but old habits die hard, as the human saying went.
Life on the ship had taken a bit to get used to, as life in the seedy underbelly of a planet tended to make one dislike smaller areas such as a ship. The people also hadn’t exactly wanted him there at first, either, and he was pretty sure there were still some that felt that way. That was more normal than most would expect, though, since he had really never been wanted much of anywhere. All that really mattered was finding a way to stick around.
Cracking his eyes open once again as the small hum marking the return of gravity started coming back, Nyx pushed himself off from the wall, straightening out so that when it re-activated he had to do little more than land on his feet. That was something he had found that most of the humans here could not do nearly as well as he could, as if they were missing a reflex of some kind.
It was unfortunate, though; such a diversion would have been fun to keep up a little longer, since now he was back to meandering.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
