Booker kept to his post after the call to lunch was sounded - as tempting as it was to head on over after Kat's voice boomed over the comms, he had a good two reasons to stick to where he was. The first, of course, being he would be the first to get the message when it finally came through -
if
it finally came through - and he'd be able to react if a certain problem dropped out of hyperdrive. The second, and in his opinion much more important reason - was that by staying here, it was much more likely Kat would come bbring him some food anyway.
Although when the pilot heard footsteps approach he couldn't say he thought it'd be the ninja. He almost never heard her footsteps. These ones were louder, making no attempt at subtlety - and glancing over his shoulder he spotted the taciturn Nyam making her way into the room with her toolkit. The Kathiss' irritated words provoked an almost nervous grin from Booker, who for once chose to hold his tongue and let the woman work.
That said... He wasn't blind, his eyes trailed Nyam's physique as she worked - admiring the muscular cat-woman's assets and the way she moved working on fixing the bullethole in the wall. When she was done he just flashed her a more headstrong grin and gave her a nod, waiting until she was on her way out before calling after her. "
Thanks for the view!
"
The wait continued with him double-checking the systems and glancing over the cameras in the mess hall, seeing a good number of the crew socializing and munching. When, suddenly, a blue light flickered on - and Booker's eyes lit up with it.
"
Finally!
" He muttered, reaching for his comms to alert the captain when - stomping into the cockpit - there came a giant lizardman armed to the teeth. The pilot's head turned to look at the kitted-out juggernaut with a hint of confusion, but before he could reply Kat slid in past Cnossos with a bowl in hand - aha, lunch had arrived! Along with possibly dessert!~
