Welcome any and all; this thread is for anyone and everyone who are interested.

Seeing as my first project failed completely, I’ll try something different, easier, simpler, maybe (hopefully) something more appeasing for authors of all backgrounds, where experience and talent are not important; a place to develop creativity at a personal level.

In this thread, fellow artists will post descriptions of created monsters, characters, races, creatures, animals, or what have you. This will be a thread for sharing ideas, as well as for discussion, feedback, talking, and exploring creativity and fantasy with a focus on the submitted articles. I will personally leave at least a little feedback on all posted work.

Submissions can be about anything, but should be directed towards fantasy, creativity, and native imagination. You are certainly allowed to recreate anything you want, however, names and titles must always be your own work or already part of folklore, mythology, demonology, or pop culture. For example, you’re allowed to make your own version of demons, dragons, orcs, elves, vampires, and so on, as there is no copyright for such generic titles; however, you cannot reuse an existing name or title from something that is officially copyrighted (such as from movies, video games, computer games, novels, comic books, etc.).

Below will be a simple prompt outlining key features for making a submission. Up above on the first post is an index showing where submitted work is. I will also add my own work as well, to serve as examples and to be involved with the thread myself.

It is advisable to copy-paste the entire prompt into a Word document or some equivalent and work on it there, and then copy-paste it onto this thread. You are free to change, adjust, remove, and add sections if you want to.

All original submitted work is copyright by their respective owners.

Name: (the title of the monster, creature, character, race, animal, etc.)

Type: (mammalian, reptilian, synapsid, humanoid, anthropoid, mixed, hybrid, mythological, spiritual, otherworldly, ethereal, unknown, demonic, angelic, etc.; pick any that apply, or find a better word)

Era: (the crude time period your submission takes place in or is based from; medieval, ancient, modern, futuristic, prehistoric, otherworldly, and such terms may be useful, though you may simply just use *All”)

Appearance: (describe the exterior biological features, dimorphism, physiology, etc. that may be associated; this will probably become the longest section, so be sure to space out paragraphs)

Size: (specifics of height, length, stature, weight, etc.)

Abilities: (notable special features, interior biology, such as poisonous skin, saliva or blood, fangs, able to see in the dark, echolocation, lungs that can also breathe water, special organs, cold/warm-bloodedness, wings, retractable claws, able to spin webs like a spider, or anything else that suits your fantasy)

Diet: (herbivorous, carnivorous, omnivorous, cannibalistic, etc.)

Psychology: (the general attitudes of the submission; factors such as aggression, territorial boundaries, timidity, benevolence, phobias and such can be described)

Traits: (general associated traits)

Other: (anything else can be put here, such as lifespan, life style, evolution; placeholder text)

Environment: (preferred living conditions, where to be found, where most likely to live, or perhaps adaptable)

Technology: (how advanced or sophisticated they are; can they make metal tools and weapons, poetry, music, clothing, homes, boats, forts, etc.)

Clothing: (if sentient or capable of creating clothing, describe what is worn. If not, then leave this section blank or just put *none” or something similar)

Weapons: (natural weapons such as claws, talons, fangs, horns, tusks, or created weapons like swords, axes, spears, bows, clubs, guns, etc., if applicable)

Armour: (protective gear, like plate armour, chainmail, lamellar, splint mail, leather, hide; perhaps the submission has natural armour such as scales, a shell, thick skin; be sure not to forget about your description in the Appearance section)

Equipment: (shields, bucklers, ammunition, quiver, tools, or anything else that may be associated)

Features: (tattoos, makeup, scars, biological markings, patterned skin, fur, scales, etc., if applicable)

Domestication: (any pets, mounts like horses or camels, beasts of burden, or cattle, if any involved. Perhaps your submitted work can be domesticated by others)

Background: (the origins, backstory, mystery, or something special involved with the past, if you wish to add)

Destiny: (fate of your work; where are they going to end up? Are they at war? Will they become extinct? Are they being hunted or annihilated? Are they dying off? Only time will tell...)

(If you feel you have now created a basis for a story, you may work on your story on your own thread or somewhere else. Good luck, and have fun within your cosmos of creativity!)
