Personality: But it's so restricting of my freedomz!

Appearance: Gary stands at about six foot three in height, making him fairly tall. He has a light skin tone with a slight tan to it and short black hair. His eyes are a dull dark green, and he doesn't have anything in the way of facial hair. His face isn't totally blemish free - he has two very noticeable ones, one above his left eyebrow and another below his bottom lip - but other than that, he doesn't look too bad.

As for the rest of his body, he is pretty well built. Military training would probably do that to someone. He has a couple of scars here and there, one of which was once a bullet wound on his left shoulder.

Mutation Effect: Mutations are for plebs.

Area of Expertise: He has six years of military experience under his belt.

History: At first glance, it would seem as if Gary was born into a completely normal middle class family, and there was nothing out of the ordinary about his life. But at the age of twelve, his father developed a drinking problem - to this day the reasons are unknown - and he eventually became abusive, so Gary's mother quickly filed for divorce. She was successful, and his father disappeared from the picture.

Gary was doing pretty well in school, and was relatively well liked. But he never quite figured out what he was going to do when he finished school. At age sixteen his mother was diagnosed with cancer, and at age seventeen she passed away.

He ended up moving in with his older brother and getting a part time job as he finished school, but he was somewhat depressed. When he turned eighteen and finished school, he was reluctantly kicked out at the insistence of his brother's significant other. This didn't help his case, and he fell into an even deeper depression.

Eventually he was able to overcome this after speaking with therapists and having the support of some of his old friends, but afterwards he was at a loss of what he was to do in life. He drifted between jobs for two years or so, and then eventually decided 'to hell with it' and joined the military. Not the best reason, but he did take some pride in fighting for his country as it felt like he finally had a purpose.

After six years of serving overseas, he had achieved the rank of sergeant and was offered a position in the facility as a guard. He accepted, the prospect of being isolated from the outside world for years not phasing him as much as it should have - he had grown distant from his friends during his years of service.

Now that he's here, he has somewhat conflicting viewpoints about the whole thing, but more on that later.

Appearance: Subject 51 is roughly 6 feet tall, and is more on the average for people his age. The only characteristic that stands out is his board shoulders making him seem large and powerful. However, his strength is average and he is not overweight but not fit at the same time. His hair drops down a little below the eyebrow, and is of a dark brown color. You would think he was younger, like around 15-16, because of his smooth face and lack of facial hair. His eyes are about as dark as his hair.

Mutation Effect: To sum it up, Transmutation. He must have sight of the object he is wanting to change, and touching it allows for better usage of energy. Now he cannot create matter out of thin air, and cannot use the air as matter. So the object he is using can only be transformed into something of equal matter. It is easier to change a solid to liquid and liquid to gas than the other way around, but once a substance is in gas form he can no longer transmute it. As of now he can only transmute (having it in pounds is just a useful way) 4-8 pounds of material (This being if its just simple to simple). However, he cannot make simple items into complex one. So he could turn a gun into water, but could not turn water into a gun. Also, the more complex an object the harder it is to transmute. So instead of transmuting a gun to water he would just do the pin in it. NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS POWER YET

History: Micheal does not remember why he came here. When his powers first appeared, he accidentally changed very small parts of his brain into air. This has caused many problems for him. He has a loss of memory and does not function as well as the other subjects. He has yet to reveal his powers to anyone else, and tends to stay away from the other subjects. He also believes that Doctor Martin is his father.

((Damn, this is what I get for being busy...Corbonyo, I was going to tell you that I'd find some time to go ingame to ask, but since you went ahead and posted it I'll just say I'm alright with it. It not manifesting yet isn't a problem at all. Interestingly enough, that's the exact same ability I used the last time I was part of a thread like this.

Everyone else, it all looks alright. I'm gonna go ahead and say you're all accepted barring me coming to some realization that I've overlooked a significant problem (which I almost certainly will not).)) Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Casper is a Caucasian male of average build, standing at around 6 foot and weighing in at around 78kgs. He is modestly slim and toned, and as mama Giordano used to say, built for “speed*. He possesses hazel-brown eyes and a self-proclaimed fear of the comb, often leaving his dirty blonde hair in an unruly mess.

Mutation Effect:
The subject appears to possess an ability to speed up physical and mental functions, essentially entering a state labeled “Bullet Time”. While utilizing this ability, the subject moves and reacts at a substantially faster pace, though suffers from heightened brightness and dulled hearing. Extended use of the subject’s super reflexes could cause their body to rip itself apart.

History:
Casper was your average freshman, in his first apartment, but definitely not his first questionable affair, when the phone suddenly rang. Picking up, he was greeted by a husky voice that might have been provocative, if it hadn’t been informing him of his mother and step father’s unfortunate traffic accident earlier that afternoon, and that his sickly step-sister was in intensive care.

Like any good brother, he was at his sister’s side in hours – listening with hollow ears as the doctors explained the success of the surgery. Apparently there was a complication – an unknown ailment with precious few researchers. Fortunately, a remote facility was willing to take on her case, but for an exorbitant cost – though, “fortunately”, this cost could be waived if he were willing to ‘donate his body to science’.

Left with little choice, Casper found himself part of the previous intake. He found having no correspondence with his ailing sister disgruntling, but has proven compliant so far.

Appearance: Rena is a slight young woman, narrow of the waist and shoulders, no higher than around 5'1". Her guarded posture trims her further still, though her middling physique shouldn't be mistaken for poor health – only adolescence and heritage. There is nonetheless a strong note of pale in her skin, as if she were ambivalent to the sun. This flesh is abnormally featureless, absent of birthmarks or scars.

Her wide and wary eyes are intensely blue – a shade on the colder side – and hints of elegance now begin to shine through her finely-shaped features. Her satiny raven hair – inherited from her father, she understands – is reasonably kept and long but usually worn in two unbraided twintails that rest on her shoulder blades.

Mutation Effect: File sealed by request. Relevant personnel may contact Michael Talbot directly.

History: Secrecy drips from the name. Ignorance weighs on her mind. It is certain enough by most measures that Rena is a human being and suffers from all that follows. But a human can never really be more than the sum of her memories, of which Rena has few. For reasons contested – a mistake in the catalyst process, head injury – her awakening in the facility is the first and only substantial memory of her life.

A creature of “why”, she might enjoy a certain food or agree with a particular book and can repeat the facts of modern science and history as much as she is willing or able, but nothing explains the knowledge and interests that define what remains of her. Her name, her age, a reason to be where she is * all things given to her by the people who woke her. But if human beings understand anything about memories, it's that they're more than what humans understand.

Everywhere she goes, there is a thought or an image, a mere feeling, that tantalises her – begging to draw a connection between visions of unknown places and faceless people and what besets her now. Knowing no other homes, or perhaps because of this, Rena feels a compulsion to the facility that eclipses promises of material gain – a feeling of belonging that kindles a sense of wanting and, perhaps, eases the inner malaise of knowing that the fibre of her being is becoming host to some power that she doesn't yet understand.

Anxiety overlooks her every action now. Knowing nothing and nobody, she as a human can only trust in her instinct – the powers written into the blood itself.

Name: Red Hawkins.
Position within facility: Subject.
Number: 22.
Age: 20.
Gender: Female.

Appearance: Red is a young, cheery and rather pretty girl with some... Well, somewhat unusual features. Her hair, for a start, is a startling blood red colour. It's cut short, short enough that it barely covers her ears when let down, but even so it's soft and looks just great. Her hair is naturally wispy so Red doesn't style it at all, merely letting it fall wherever it may so she tends to have the messy look. She has a fringe too, though it's short and will rarely manage to get in her eyes.

Next up is Red's eyes and other facial features, but her eyes come before the rest. They, like her hair, are quite unusual in that they're a pretty interesting colour. A very bright, piercing electric blue. They're very striking, soul-piercing even, and most have a hard time looking away once they've made eye contact. The rest of her facial features are more normal, but still quite pretty, such as her slightly smaller than average nose, sweet pink lips and cheeks that're neither plump nor thin. One other thing that stands out about her face, however, is the cute splatter of freckles scattered about her cheeks and nose. Almost like they're strategically placed for maximum cuteness.

Cutting ahead to her body we find that Red is pretty short, standing at the rather measly height of 4'9" total. She has quite a slender body, petite even, though her arms have some visible muscle that keeps her from looking like a twig. Her bust is a respectable C-cup, perfect for her size and form, and her rear is a rather small and firm spectacle that most would call perfectly squeezable. I wouldn't do so unless she offered you the chance, though. You might lose an arm. She has an hourglass figure, or a figure that could ALMOST be called an hourglass, and her skin is pleasantly smooth to the touch, not to mention lightly tanned. I am Inferi.

Other than the freckles on her face she has next to no blemishes, or at least none that are readily visible.

All in all, Red is a girl who is hard to look away from.

Mutation Effect: Red's abilities manifested in one of the most predictable ways the 'bosses' had probably been expecting when the project was first envisioned. She possesses immense superhuman strength, far more so than any other subjects who have manifested it as a power, to the point where she has little trouble punching through solid steel. Hell, she can headbutt her way through solid steel and come away from the fight with nothing more than a minor headache.

By extension Red's body has adapted to her outrageous strength, giving her exceptional durability and a reinforced skeletal structure to withstand the stress of her hefty blows. Bullets cannot penetrate her skin, great falls won't hurt her and she is more resistant to general hazards, like fire and electricity, than a normal person.

She's a tank who can headbutt a tank, and win.

History: There isn't much to say about Red's childhood, merely that she was an only child. Nothing incredible or tragic happened, at least nothing beyond what a small child would call incredible, she was just a simple kid from a small town who had a knack for making friends and never running out of energy.

In truth, the reason she ended up at the facility was because of her love for all things superhero related. Like any other kid she always dreamed of being a superhero who could fly, lift trucks, shoot lasers and all that other amazing stuff. Perhaps it was this outspoken passion or her deep-seated desire to be super that prompted somebody to approach her about the facility, but as it was once she learned what she would get out of it there was no way Red could refuse, not even if she never saw her family or friends again.

After all, what other chance would she get to be a real superhero?

Personality: He's a mix of every character portrayed by Nathan Fillion.

Appearance: Miles is six feet tall and well built. He is the epitome of upper crust stock, his tall and strong frame complimented by his traditionally handsome looks. He has fair skin, dark brown eyes, and short black hair. He is clean shaven. I guess he also looks like Nathan Fillion.

Mutation Effect: Derp.
Area of Expertise: Military training and a degree in Engineering.

History: Miles was born into an upper class family of aristocrats and politicians. He excelled at everything he did and eventually he decided on a military life. He went to military school and graduated with top marks, going on to serve overseas.

Nothing spectacular happened during his military career, but Miles was bothered little by this. He was offered a promotion to Lieutenant if he would serve as a guard in the facility, an offer which he accepted.
