Largely ignored was perfectly fine for Cia, at least for right now. Still, with everyone else starting to get involved in a bit of violence, it meant she probably would be pretty soon too. Best to deal with that as soon as possible, even if nobody seemed to care that she was around.

Reaching into a belt pouch and pulling out a small orb that rhythmically pulsed with energy - which was, as someone that knew her might expect, a magical explosive of some kind - she waltzed over to the last mercenary. Holding it out to him with something of an innocent smile, she said, "Pardon me. Could you hold onto this for me for a moment?" while offering him the explosive. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Click drew a stopwatch from one of his many pockets and begun to twirl it by the chain.

Cindal held fast to her sheathed sword with her off-hand. So far all of the resounding trash-talk had been embarrassingly deflected in what seemed like an oblivious stupor. Her company were being made fools of just for talking to such unsociable scum.

"Ugh! You're getting on my nerves! Why are all you Desdemona creeps so weird?! " roared Cindal.

Kinki swirled higher on her miniature dragon, making more of a distance at the gnome's response.

"SHUT YOUR DISGUSTING MOUTH YOU PINT-SIZED PRICK! I CAN'T STAND YOUR DISGUSTING FUCKING GNOME VOICE!!!" she yelled as loud as she could.

Dalton was mostly his usual self in responding "Desdemona's inside, Mister Cain. She wished to speak with the owner. Do you and your men have some business he-"

"You should bring her out here." Cain cut him off. His tone was much darker, and the look on his face took a more frightening turn.

Dalton shuddered, but didn't falter. "Miss Desdemona is here on important business. You'll have to wait if you wish to speak with her. Furthermore, I would implore you to control your soldiers lest we have to take retaliatory measures." he replied.

Cain laughed. "What're you worried for, lad? You wouldn't wanna see yer new blood in action? Wouldn't wanna let your swords get dull, would ya?

Merc 2, inside, harassing Kalo


The woman immediately lost control of the hammer once the full weight and balance of it was tasked to her arm. A nearby barstool was sent flying as the massive hammer toppled over, crashing through the floorboards with a loud crunch.

"What the hell?!" The woman exclaimed, taking a few steps back as the floor began to sag around the hole that had just been punched through it. She immediately drew her weapon - a shortsword - and pointed it menacingly at Kalo.

"Destroying the property is punishable!" she declared.

"Um, what?" The merc was totally caught off-guard, but reflexively reached his hand out to accept the offering.

A look of bewilderment lit up the barkeep's face as Kalo's hammer smashed through his floor. The extent of the damage was out of his sight due to his position behind the bar, but the sound alone was enough to fire him up.

"GET OUT OF HERE, ALL OF YOU!" he bellowed, sweeping his arm in their direction. "Get them out of here!" he commanded his guards.

Rupinasu’s tongue dangled for a second and his eyes gleamed. Indeed, Desdemona’s crew were quite the motley assortment of nonconforming yet friendly individuals despite some confusion and lack of cohesion.

Cindal yelled her displeasure--as did the pixie up above, then a splintering crash echoed from within the tavern and the barkeeper screamed dismissal--excited from all the noise, Rupinasu sharply inhaled and slowly reared, ''AAWWWOOO OOO !''

"Hey, it's not my fault!" Kalo whined. "You gots to be more careful with othere people's stuff!" she giggled at the mercenary lady. "I gotta get my hammer back!" Kalo said before dropping into the hole in the floor after her weapon.

She landed in the cellar with a squishy plop. Her hammer landed on a pile of barrels and crushed them to bits, so now there was wine pouring out all over the basement. "Ewww!" Kalo whined, grabbing the sticky handle of her maul. She was all covered in the nasty syrup wine now!

"Hey, mister bar man~!" Kalo yelled up through the hole in the floor "Where's the exit??"

"Thanks!" Cia said, smiling at the merc as she handed over the item. However, that smile faded a little when, during the handoff, the merc grabbed it in the wrong way, thumb pushing against a somewhat specific indent that caused the device to start pulsing more rapidly.

"Hey, no, wait, you're not supposed to push that!" she exclaimed, stepping forward and positioning herself inbetween the merc and everyone by the counter. While she had given him the grenade with the express purpose of blowing it up, she hadn't planned to use it just yet. It was supposed to be voice activated by her, not accidentally activated by him!

Giving the man an apologetic look, she said sheepishly, "Sorry." before the grenade activated. Fortunately for the merc, it wasn't something lethal, but rather an explosion of force that would throw him at least several feet backwards as the wave blasted outwards from the magical device. Cia, on the other hand, was entirely unaffected as per usual, the wave dissipating around her and therefore not reaching any of the people behind her either. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Click stared back at Annie while she responded. Then, when the girl showed off her fire powers, Click stepped forward into the flames, reaching out so that his left arm caught fire. Due to the unusual layered garments he was wearing, it went up in no time. Within just three seconds, his entire body burned in a huge fire, and then-

Click.

The mercenary caught the stopwatch he had been twirling, pressing the dial. Instantly the fire that had engulfed him disappeared, and all the places where his clothes had burned were back to normal.

“This watch...” Click explained “Can reverse time around me by three seconds … But it cannot reverse that foolish question you just asked me… See? It’s been too long.”

“I am with Cain. And because Desdemona came to this place… She is our enemy. If you are with her… then you are also our enemy, little girl ...”

Cindal cringed at the sudden loud sound. Now out of patience, she whipped out her sword and pointed it menacingly at the wolfman.

“Cut that out!” Cindal demanded. “Gods, I can’t believe how annoying you are!”

Chorak, outside, squaring up with Dionysus


Chorak nearly jolted backward from the sudden attack, but instead he reacted. He was half a second behind, but now he had an opening. Chorak grabbed Dionysus’ ankle with his left hand, and whirled his spear around with his right. The blade of the spear stopped just shy of the amazon’s face, bringing them to a stalemate.

Chorak smirked. “Right there.”
