Time ticked by as slowly as a tree sloth. Wino could feel the foggy effect of the berries wearing off as the tension played through the air like a brewing lightning storm. All four rhinos looked at each other. Rarl looked at Wino, then Rarl looked at the other female. The other female looked at Gruffle, then the other female looked at Rarl. Gruffle looked at the other female, then Gruffle looked at Wino. Wino looked at Rarl, then Wino looked at Gruffle. Rarl looked at the other female. The other female looked at Rarl. Wino looked at Gruffle. Gruffle looked at Wino.
Then slowly, very slowly, Rarl and the other female turned and walked back into the forest together. Wino breathed a huge sigh of relief. Gruffle breathed a huge sigh of relief. At the same moment, they realized they had been leaning against each other, but at just the same moment they realized they did not want to stop leaning against each other quite yet. Nervously they touched each others’ horns, they softly nuzzled each others’ lips, then they wandered happily together to the liana vines on the bank of the river as the sun went down behind the Willawongo river.
