They had been killing goblins for a while now. Both had recieved class 1 overshields, and a little bit of field medicine. In addition to this, Josh had recieved some more white laser runes and a few fuel runes. Tyler had recieved razor-sharp, serrated attachments to go on the ends of his swords to increase damage. They each had about 500 gold pieces.
Making their way to the general store, they found it quite crowded. New players were showing off their finds to others. A few had spiked balls to go on the end of swords making it more like a mace. These also strengthened one's overshield. One player was drawing a big crowd as he showed off an iron machine gun.
"Excuse me. Do you have anything that isn't bronze?" asked Tyler.
"Sorry, you'd have to go to Varrock for that," said the shopkeeper, a friendly artificial intelligence with gray hair wearing an apron.
"Then do you have ships for us to get to Varrock?"
"Out back. Talk to my assistant."
Suddenly there was a commotion. Apparently one of the players had grabbed the iron machine gun and taken off. Without warning the player froze. The gun in his hands disappeared and rematerialized back in the hands of its owner.
"Rodney H. you have been detected stealing. You will remain immobilized until a moderator can come and deal with you," said a disembodied voice.
The thief's eyes darted around in their sockets, panicking.
"Shoulda known better!" laughed the shopkeeper. "Now that'll be a lesson to the rest of you. The same thing will happen if you steal from a store."
Josh and Tyler laughed and exited out the back door. The shopkeeper's assistant was standing among a group of bronze tanks and spaceships.
"Hey there! Can I help you?"
"How much is a spaceship?"
"You can get a single-op for 2k or a double-op for 3.5. We don't stock anything other than that."
"Great! We're stuck on Lumbridge!" said Tyler, exasperated.
