Chapter 4
It can be read somewhere that gods can choose what form they enter the mortal planes in, and it was no surprise that Armadyl appeared as an aviansie. His feathers were stark white, and his head was angled like a bird, or perhaps an elf. His nose ramp** up into a beak, topped with a set of flat avian bird nostrils. His beak, taking on a light peach color, was that of a bird of prey. However, it looked to have never dealt with preying business, though quite capable of so.

The feathers on the back of his head were ruffled in dissaray, resembling hair, and ended at the bottom of his neck, leading up to his shoulderblades, malformed from human standard to accompany large wings. The wings could fold up, and the five-feet they were at currently was nothing to the 20-feet they could spread to if necessary.

Armadyl's torso was adorned with a fine white steel plate, embroidered with blue silk and gold, not to mention his own symbol engraved into a golden centerpeice in emerald. The torso plate ended in blue silk all around at Armadyl' waist, buttoned together by a fine emerald. His upper legs were mostly exposed snow-colored feathers, with two steel thigh plates connected to the torso plate. Starting near his knees and going down to his talons were two steel boots, much less colorful than the rest of the armour, but embedded with one emerald each a well. His eyes were the color of a clear, midday sky.

Below him was Saradomin, with his pale blue skin and baby blue eyes, as well as long white hair. He wore a gold crown-type helmet, with crimson cloth. He was in an eleborate gold armour, actually mainly composed of fine blue cloth. A small pool of purple had formed on the cloth. A flood of clerics had already rushed to heal the wound, but the blood still remained.

The sitting Saradomin acted as a centerpeice of a circle of wounded, whom the remaining clerics shuffled about, with the exception of a few who refused to leave the god of law's side.

Shadow, being near the center of the crowd, had already received healing, but there's only so much a mage can do for blunt force trauma.

"Something is wrong, Saradomin. The edicts, they are missing." Armadyl leaned on his legendary staff as he spoke, his voice reverberating like birdsong, yet strangely human.

"Did Bandos destroy them? Zamorak wouldn't dare, and the only other god I know of that has enough power to return to the plane is Seren, and she's content with the half-edict, not to mention hass her own problems." Saradomin's voice was unmistakebly human, though with a 3rd age dialect. It sounded strong and intelligent.

The distant cries of human and goblinkin resounded in the distance, as the ones loyal to Bandos cursed us for having fled and gave chase. The worn soldiers of Falador had no choice but to defend Port Sarim untill either the goblin attack recceded, or it's temporary inhabitants could move out.

Shadow looked upon the crowd of injured, seeing wave upon wave of suffering White Knights, simple gaurds with their chainmail split open, and even innocent civilians who had whole limbs lopped of in an attempt to flee. Jade could also be seen among the injured. It was then that Shadow realized how impaired Jade had been, yet dispite this his freind had managed to save him, lugging them out of the city.

A new respect, not even present in their years of training together as Gaurdians of Armadyl, dawned upon Shadow. It started as a good feeling, but then he began cursing himself for the lack of bravery he portayed. Next time he would do better, he promised, next time he would be brave, he would prevail.

The dim, blue firelight prancing upon the Lord of Chaos's ebony mask ceased to exist in an abrupt motion as Zamorak brought his skeletal fingers together with a 'clack'.

The blue light flared across the walls, it's color fiercely countered by the vibrant torches of hellfire situated around the chamber. The embers undid with a hiss, like a venomous snake from hell.

The god's robes slithered silently, like mentioned snake, as he turned to his left, where a shrouded figure sat. The god's tones were only increased in menacing magnitude behind the pitch mask in the hollow chamber. Outside the windows, where a brewing storm had flooded the room with red light every time the flash from a lightning bolt would crash through the stained glasss, the sky was empty and black, not even the moon was visible.

"Zemouregal" The god demanded the robed figure to his right's immediate attention, drawling the call as to act as a grappling hook. The god's malevolent voice did just that, and the nearby mahjarrat hastily stood at attention.

"What is it, Zamorak?" The Faceless One's voice was nearly at corrupt as his lord's, and just as menacing. Even the sight of just two mahjarrat conversing might drive a man insane. They were a corrupt, valueless people, and the lord of them sat upon his throne in Varrock, the capital of the Empty Lord's empire.

"Zaros will be assembling his followers," The vile god laid back in his limestone throne. "Get the mahjarrat, Enakhra, Hazeel, Khazard. They will decide the fate of this land." The mahjarrat simply nodded and took off for the door, emerging into the city he envied so futilely. Untill now though, the dream had high chances of fabricating into reality. Untill now, untill Zaros.

"Akthanakos, Azzanadra, Sliske, Wahisietel," A tongue, not used for thousands of years listed the names in a simple beat, calling out to his followers one at a time. "Vampyres, Demons, Kalphite, Dragonkin..." The ancient voice drifted through the air, evaporating in vacant skies.

"I have made my return to ***linor, and I plan to have my kingdom back, and the staff taken," The wind shifted ominously, in a breeze that wrapped around one's very sssoul, as a purple-clad Mahjarrat took up the space next to his lord. "Oh, yes, you, Azzanadra, will be rewarded for your loyalty, as well as the rest of my followers... And Zamorak shall be punished for his treachery."

Chapter 5 Part 1
-- Three Months Later --

Witchaven had appeared over the horizon about half an hour ago, and now the boats were finally docking at it. Shadow hopped off his boat, now dressed in a panoply of rune armour, taking off running for Ardougne. Almost all the other troops followed suit.

The goblinkin were relentless. They had taken control of Ardougne in its army's brief absence, and getting it back would be no easy task. They had occupied the city with their filthy presence, their voices ringing out to each other in goblin language, about the next time they would be able to bash a head in.

What remained of the combined armies of Armadyl and Saradomin charged into the city from the east side, running head-on into the crowd of goblins. They fought violently, cries of battle burst forth. Goblins dented in the heads of men, and men impaled the hearts of goblins.

Shadow ran up to a wall, jumped, and casted a wind surge under him, launching to the top of Ardougne's outer walls. He drew his silver blade, the demon blood stained on it flashing in the midday sun, and lopped of the head of an impending hobgoblin archer. He then activated his elemental shield, runic power surging forth as the shield burst out from the buckler that served as its center. He bashed a second hobgoblins face in with this, directing a horizontal sword strike, sending the goblinkin from the wall and plummeting to the ground.

The Winged Guardian slew every single archer along his route across the walls, climbing back down to ground level by some wild ivy just west of the marketplace, meeting back up with friendly forces being commandeered by fellow Guardian of Armadyl, Jade. But the battle was not over yet. From the west there was a great roar, and one would turn only to see a platoon of orks, weapons at the ready.

Chapter 5 Part 2

Jade loaded his crossbow, the archers pulled back their bowstrings, Shadow drew his blade, and the soldiers readied their shields. An ork raised his weapon, a giant cleaver stained with gore, and released a guttural roar, signaling the others to charge forwards. So they did, and the archers let loose.

Arrows streaked across the battlefield between the two groups, piercing into the creatures' leathers and chainmails, but did not halt their advance. That is, with the exception of the arrows that buried themselves into skulls. Jade's crossbow launched a bolt forward with a resounding CRACK! and the runite tip found itself right above the leading ork's left eye, though it did not stop his charge.

The footsoldiers raised up their sheilds, migrating in front of the rangers to protect them from the ork onslaught.Shadow assumed position infront of Jade, and ran forward at the leading ork. The Winged Gaurdian jumped, flying through the air, taking his blade in both hands and swinging it down from behind him. His armor rattled and his arms jarred from the impact as their two battlers' weapons collided. Shadow's feet fell square unto the ork's torso, sending him stumbling back and his cleaver flying. He flung himself forward while the ork was recovering, taking its head in his shield hand, pulling it down, and bringing his blade to its stomach, pushing thrusting it upwards. The ork was impaled, spending his last breath in a roar of anguish as his battalion perished around him.

Jade motioned the soldiers forward, urging them towards the castle. The platoon arrived at the castle to see the left tower collapse in a cloud of dust and rubble, something springing forth from the structure in the middle of its demolition. In a flash of pure light, Armadyl spread his wings, drawinga bow and pulling back its string. From the debris emerged a giant ourg, twenty feet taller than any building in Ardougne, with a mace of equal scale.

Its battle cry rang forth, echoeing in the peaks of White Wolf Mountain and ringing through the streets of Yannile. It brought up its mace, an action that cleared the entire face of Ardougne Castle, the weapon arcing through the sky at Armadyl. The bird gracefully spun out of its way, sweeping through a cloud and letting loose an arrow.

The projectile blasted throuh the air at the speed of a lightning bolt, and shattered against the skin of Bandos amilliontimes louder than any clap of thunder. The goblin god was unfazed yet, sending its weapon through the air again. Not amused by these games, Armadyl put away his bow and freefell through the air, avoiding Bandos's mace a second time, and landing on its brow. He raked his claws against the ultimate goblinkin's eye, And the resulting roar litteralt rendered men deaf. Bandos lifted his left arm to swat Armadyl with surprising speed, and the bird aced out of the way, but a moment too late. Bandos caught the aviansies's wing as it absconded, snapping the bones within in two. Armadyl screeched and swooned into the Dougne River.

Bandos roared in success, signaling the rest of his warriors to flood the streets. A moment too soon however, as lightning struck from the heavens, cascading down upon the ourg, surging through his armor and skin. His eyes rolled back, and the lightning invaded him relentlessly, flooding upon him like a waterfall. He dropped his mace, and his body followed, crashing on the city of East Ardougne.
