Oh my, it has been so long sense I've been on the forums... I'm so ashamed :@ I guess the only thing to do it jump back in...

The Pain Within:
I climb through the tiers, I have been climbing for so long that I fear I will faint from the exhaustion, but still I cant stop. The rusted metal cuts into my skin, making my eyes water and tears run down my face. But I cant stop, I have to keep climbing. I have to.

The shaft is miles deep, I never reached the bottom when I fell, but it appears endless. If I were to let go and push myself away surely I would fall to the center of the earth; to fire and heat, and pain. To a quick death.

The only thing keeping me from doing so is the fall. I fear falling forever, not knowing when the end will come. I fear that time away from the pain in my wretched body, the time away to think.

So I keep climbing, one painful inch at a time. My limbs are raw now, the skin on my hands stripped to the bone at places.

The pain is unlike anything on this world. Because it comes not from my ruined body, no, that I can no longer feel. No, this pain comes from within me. From within my mind.

Its a torturing kind of pain, the kind no drugs or place can help you escape. It leaves you cold and alone. Because while I cant escape it, the others could. The ones I loved. They could escape it so they did, leaving me alone in this endless hell. Alone in this room that knows no walls. Alone save for my insanity and the creature it has made of me.

I’m still climbing, my fingers torn to the bone. I feel not the pain in my body, but fear the one in my mind. I fear that one day I will stop climbing and it will overcome me, ******* me further beyond my own recognition, thus I climb. I climb to escape the madness within.

Hope that was a good comeback (although a bit of a weird one, even for me), also if it qualifies I would love to enter it in your current contest :P
Thanks!

Hawky, I wanted to ask if you would like to be an Editor for this thread - you can find out more information about it on page 2 post 3.
Just post here and let me know.
Thanks. ^^

Hey Logan,
I've written a new one which is, at least a little, shorter, and edited my previous posts as asked.
It's funny how it can be so short to start, but by the time I've gone over it a few times, it's doubled in size...

Logan,
I do believe it would be a wise thing to supply the job of detecting plagiarism to a certain person on this thread. *subtly slips hand into the air* I've seen people plagiarize classic literature by infamous authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, Anton Chekhov, Robert Frost, and more. To me, it is appalling to see someone taking credit for something they didn't write and dancing in the limelight of someone else's work.
There is a website called Readprint in which you can read hundreds and hundreds of classical pieces of literature such as plays, stories, short stories, poems, and more. On countless occasions I've seen these beauties abused and neglected and placed onto the forums in the owner's image. The sad thing is nobody suspects a thing. :(
I believe that I do qualify for such a job I have ways of detecting plagiarism. (my secret being typing in an excerpt of writing in some writing engine or readprint) If you believe it is fitting, please do supply this job to a worthy regular on this thread. *subtly raises hand again* O_o

ITIalevolent:
Noted. I'll read it again.
Although I see how that could take place, I seem to have the opposite problem. Most of my stories are under 3 posts long and I have trouble continuing a story beyond that - I think I just get bored of them. =p
Goodluck shortening your work - but remember that longevity of writing is also a strong suite if you get into writing an 'epic tale' etc. =]

Labryinths:
I've only had a single account of plagiarism on this thread so far. You're welcome to look out for it, but unless you start finding multiple instances of it I don't think it's entirely necessary to make it a 'position' (the only purpose of which would be to deter writers from attempting it).
Thanks for the thought, as always I appreciate your support in these matters.
