I finally got inspiration again, yay! A happy story from me, review please?

Walking in the rain
A young man walked through the park. It was a raining, but the man did not walk under the trees where he should stay dry. He walked in the rain. "It's just a day to walk in the rain." He said to himself.
Rainy days are usually bad days. Days to say goodbye always seemed rainy. The man had said goodbye today too, but in a good way. He was smiling to himself. Yet, why did he walk in the rain, and not under the trees?
Was it because he had heard bad news? It seemed that bad news was always told to you on rainy days. The man had heard news, yes. But it certainly was good news.
Suddenly the man knew why rain always seemed to fall on bad days. Rain is like tears, and bad things bring tears. It explained all. Rain was like tears. But do tears only come from bad things?
The man had cried today, yes. It added up. Maybe the clouds were crying with him. Would be nice to know.
But the man had scored A's in physics, so he knew clouds did not cry. Maybe it was one of those things that could not be explained. Did it truly matter? The rain was refreshing, and the man was happy with the weather. Maybe the weather was happy with him, too? He could always study meteorology, the study of weather.
"Now it's my turn to walk in the rain." The man stopped his train of thoughts. The reason he was walking in the rain (and had cried, and had said goodbye to his old life for) walked a little more to the right. She was walking in the rain now, too. The man opened his mouth. "But you'll get all wet!" "You got wet too. And it's just a day to walk in the rain. Can't stay behind." She giggled, and laid her arm on her lovers shoulder. The man laid his arm on her shoulder and the two walked off, nearing the exit of the park. They walked out of the park onto the streets.
Walking in the rain. Almost better then singing.

Ik OClock, Logan said he was going to be away this week so you'll have to wait a wee bit to get a review from him.
I can try to give you a review if you want one sooner though.
Thanks for posting!

Whahaha, Thank you very much for the bumps Hawky.
I'm probably going to be quite busy for a while - helping a friend move, and another friend rebuild the engine in his car. Between that and the end of my highschool education nearing, I may be a few days between posts.

But I'll try to hop on when I can.
Ik oClock, I will shortly add your story to the index. As for a review, those may have to be postponed for a few days - unless somebody else wants to take up where I leave off. =p

~'Dimensions'
a short story by Crocefisso, 15 May 2010
From: The Crocefisso Collection, QFC 49-50-20-60916842
PART I:
Inside the classroom was stuffy and hot. The windows were open, but they did little to counter the stifling heat. Hot air circulated between the fields outside and the classroom. Excited chatter filled the room. A new professor was arriving today, and it was in every pupil’s interest to speculate as to the new professor’s nature, appearance and other such aspects of their as-of-yet unseen teacher. In this institution, correct predictions of any sort yielded social kudos.
Absorbed in their chatter, the children failed to notice a figure walking towards the school building across the parched, dry fields where crops had not grown in years. He wore the typical black suit of a professor, and in his hand carried a briefcase of fine green leather. His hair was short, dark and tidy; he had deep sunken eyes and fair skin which hid his years. Only his eyes, which were cold and grey, betrayed his weariness of the world around him.
The classroom door opened with a loud bang. Pupils all turned their heads in the direction of the door. Their professor stood there for but an instant before he took a step into the classroom. With seamless ease he walked to his desk and placed his suitcase upon it with a loud bang. All eyes in the room were fixed upon him in awe – never had such a man taught at this rather normal school in a rural, backwards area of the country where drought is rife. Silence fell over the room. It remained for a little while, until, all of a sudden, the professor cracked a large grin and said.
“Good day, children. I am your new professor.” At this stage of the introduction, it was customary for the new professor to give his name. This fellow, however, did not conform to customs. “I am here to teach you for the new academic year. I have been speaking with the head, and it seems he does not mind if I fiddle with your school day a bit.”

At this, the professor unhinged his suitcase with a loud click and opened it.
“Gather round,” he instructed the children, “Our first lesson is due to begin.”
This was met with the clattering of chairs as the children get out of their seats and congregated around the suitcase on the desk. Collectively, they gasped, upon seeing the contents of the suitcase. Most teachers had papers or files inside their suitcases. This one, however, was empty. The bottom of the suitcase, however, was nowhere to be seen. There was only a swirling, endless mist, or a sea; whatever it was captured the children’s imaginations and refused to let go. Soon, they were hypnotized. Subject and object soon lost their meaning. Finally, the children succumbed to the suitcase’s magic, as they were slowly lulled into the strange new world.
PART II:
Tick-tock, tick-tock, the moon’s face – which now resembled a clock – ticked away over the world. A great effervescent sphere over the earth, the moon had no real use, until now, of course, now it served as a giant clock. Transfixed, the boy stood and watched the minutes turn to hours. Expectantly he stood, for his common sense told him the sun would soon appear in the sky. As the hours turned to days, it was evident this was asking for too much.
Moon, where is the sun? Wondered the boy out loud. The moon replied in an indignant voice.
Do you know where you are, boy?
No, the boy replied, quite calmly.
Well then, the irate moon began, I shall have to elucidate. It’s really quite simple. This is the great planet of Guanine. The boy looked perplexed. If this were true, was it possible he was inside DNA, wondered the boy. He decided to follow this theory and continue questioning the moon.

If that is so, moon, he began, could you tell me the name of the universe I am in?
What is a universe? The moon seemed genuinely confused by the term.
Universe, the boy began, quite glad to have an upper hand on this snobbish moon, is a term referring to all of creation. Every planet is a part of a larger tapestry, the tapestry of everything ever made. This tapestry is the universe.
So, you could say universe is a synonym of nucleus?
Indeed, said the boy. A coy smile danced across his face. He was indeed inside a cell. But whose cell was he inside? Was it one of his own, the boy thought. If so, the consequences could be catastrophic. Or perhaps, the boy thought, he was part of a larger picture, and his own life, on what he thought the bigger picture, was a small cell inside this world?
Moon, the boy said again.
Irately, the moon replied, an inaudible mutter, a curse of sorts. The boy continued with his question.
Can you define reality? The boy asked the moon.
The moon simply gave him a blank stare before concluding.
Of course not, that’s a stupid question.
Utterly mystified, the boy decided to ask the moon to tell him how far he was moving at due intervals. Willingly, the moon complied. The boy took a step, and the moon told him he had walked one kilometer. Then he walked to the other side of the world, and the moon told him he had walked three millimeters. Next, the boy asked the moon to name him a small number. His response was 8.19 × 1013. When asked to give the boy a big number, the moon said 1.2 * 10-6.
Everything here is backwards, proclaimed the boy.
Everything is forwards here and backwards there, the moon replied, not knowing where there was.
Why is that? The boy asked earnestly.
