I'm afraid I will have to postpone the release of the winners for a while.
My apologies to all of the contestants, my father recently had a stroke - he's fine, but I will be busy for a while due to family issues.
I hope your patience isn't tested TOO far, but in light of recent events I am loath to release another date - because I don't want to get your hopes up.
On the other hand, I will try my best to get around to it within a few weeks time.
Again, my apologies to each contestant.
Your participation in this event is appreciated, and your stories were all wonderful. Good work, all of you.

Could I ask you to keep an eye on this thread and try to manage social issues like this whole plagiarism deal? If you'd be willing, I would be very appreciative.

I have to agree with Paccehh. Did any of you think that maybe that it is his account on Deviant Arts.I think (my opinion) we allow Paccehh to still be in the contrest because of insufficient evidence to prove that he plagarize the story.

Sorry, but I will require evidence that the story is originally yours before it can be accepted into the contest.
Acceptable evidence would be posting a comment on the story, inside DevianArt and logged in your account, saying "This is proof", etc.
If you think of another manner, let me know here.
As for DevianArt being another "thread" I don't think I can really support that - because its not. So you're fine there, though the purpose was to encourage people to create new stories specifically for this contest.

I hope your dad has a speedy recovery; a great Aunt of mine recently had a stroke as well.
Take your time with the results, I'd rather know that you did it willingly and not just for our sake.
I'll be sure to look after the thread. I'll get in touch with Paccehh and sort out some sort of proof of ownership.

I'm sorry to hear about your father, Logan. I wish him will with his recoveries. Don't worry about this competition much, I am more than willing to wait for some results and feedback, because, truth is, RuneScape should never take priority over family matters.

With thanks to my incredible detective skills, and Google, I found that Paccehh's story has been posted on 'deviantART.'
Paccehh, if you're wondering; there's two places where you forgot to change the character's names.

I figure deviantart didn't count as an "older thread" so I posted it and changed the names to runescape pirate ones obviously missed a spot thanks for pointing it out though but... I'll resign if it makes everyone feel better.

Thank you all for your wishes regarding my Dad, he is doing much better now. I've still been keeping a rather unsteady schedule, though, so no promises on the release of results.
Speaking of results, I believe that in light of the new evidence, I have no choice but to disqualify Paccehh.
I would ask that you all keep a charitable mind ragarding this incedent, out of respect for Paccehhs proven writing ability, among other things.
While plagiarism is indeed a horrible thing, people ranting about it won't undo any harm (for her or for the original author)- it will only create more, in the form of Chaos.
So I exhort you each to keep your personal responsibility to each other through mature behavior regarding such things.
