As best they could the dog and the cat stood the ladder up strait so as to aid the man’s ascent. The man took the ladder in his hands and tried to lean it against the moon. A few times he tried this in vain, before pointing out to the dog and cat, who waited expectantly below.
“It’s not tall enough.”
“Try approaching it from a different angle.” The dog replied. Thus the arduous process of rowing around the moon a little, and waiting for the dog to give his shout as he observed tirelessly with his binoculars, began. Meanwhile, the cat licked herself, watching as others worked. Eventually, the dog gave the call, and rowing was halted. While the man attempted once more to place the ladder against the moon, the dog decided to learn a little more about this man.
“So, man, where are you from?”
“I am from a large city to the north of where we set off from. It’s called-”
“No," the dog interrupted, “No names. I’m awful with names, except my own. Let's try and leave them out. In this town, did you have a family?”
“Yes.”
“Tell me about them.”
“I’d really rather try and get this right first, sir."
"But you’re a human? Surely multitasking is easy for you.”
“Not really. It differs from person to person. Mainly women are good at multitasking.”
“That’s interesting. There’s variety between humans?”
“Yes.”
“Do you have a wife?”
“Yes. And a small daughter.”
“Darn! They would have been far more useful!” All of a sudden the shrill, piercing sound of the cat's shrill voice disrupted their pleasant conversation.
“Will you just get on with it!”

The single shout was enough to send the man off balance. He fell once more, this time into the dry boat, but as he did so he jerked and the ladder flung upwards and bumped the moon. Even this small motion was enough to disrupt its orbit and expose it to the powers of gravity, which, accordingly, brought the moon plummeting down into the ocean, the cataclysmic force upon impact sent waves of gargantuan proportions outwards in all directions.
The small boat, powerless to resist, was washed under a sweeping current and thrust back to the surface. Its contents were scattered across the ocean, their cries muffled by the crashing of the waves. Seconds later the dog surfaced, minus his tailcoat or top hat, panting as he swam towards the overturned coat. All of a sudden the boat was overturned and emptied of water. The man climbed in and helped the dog. They both shivered for a while, before the man spoke.
“Where’s that cat?"
"She’s probably drowned. Cats can't swim.” All of a sudden, the dark water was deathly still and a discomfited silence descended over the area. Peacefully, the moon bobbed along on the water’s surface, looking far less celestial than it once had when it dominated the skies.
~
Dog and man were unable to move – their oars were gone, the cat was too. Their boat floated aimlessly around the murky waters, seemingly attracted by a neo-magnetic pull from the centre of the moon. Silence was shattered only by a strange rumbling from inside the moon itself. Both the dog and man looked at the moon, rather perplexed, before a bright light blinded them. Once it subsided, and they had readjusted their eyes, nothing seemed to be different. The man, with his superior vision, soon noticed a figure, short and fat, atop the moon, though it was hard to notice anything more in the darkness.
“Excuse me,” shouted the man, “Can you come over here, please?” The figure turned towards the boat and stopped, glancing at them before he finally spoke.

“Was it you who vandalized my house?” An eerie silence descended. Neither the dog nor the man could bring themselves to break it. The figure stepped into a patch of hazy starlight.
“I am the Duke of the Moon. Answer me!”
Callously he looked at his prey, who were immobilised by his appearance. His eyes, cold and stony, belied a brutal nature. His jaw was square and jagged, his dark facial hair wild and intimidating. Even his expensive red attire looked somewhat menacing. Once more he took a step forward, his eyes fixed on the man, but, not looking where he was going, he tripped over a protruding rock and tumbled down the moon’s smooth sides, landing in the water with a comical ‘plop’. After some moments he resurfaced and, in a temper, grabbed onto the boat with his large, sodden hands. Eyes full of rage he glared at the man and the dog, before hollering.
“Mamma mia! I hate being on the sea!" Echoes of his bellow filled the night air, yet, despite all his anger, the dog and the man could only laugh and extend a hand to the saturated Duke and pull him into the boat to shiver the night away.

I'm sorry Paccehh? At what point did I say you DID plagiarise?
That was actually my first thought, so I looked through all the stories trying to find any others that matched both that account and your RS one.
I didn't find any, but knowing your prowess as a writer, I assumed that it was still just double-posted – not plagiarised.
--
If it's any consolation, I DO think she plagiarized. There are others who agree. The writing style is different from what she usually writes, not to mention the quality is far and away from that which was seen into The Fremennik (yes, I did glance at your other stories to confirm my point about the writing style, so!). I also asked Paccehh questions last night that were specifically mentioned and addressed in the DeviantArt account in question, though her answer was to immediately start ignoring me because (*smirks*) shes the champ and evrythang she saiz us tru
it's weird that you guys are so complacent and not making more noise about the threat of plagiarism. Especially since it's coming from a former contest winner, not to mention one of this forum's most active users (at least, that's the way it has been painted for me to see).
Any comments about my story, though? :'(

The Greatest Gift
The bright-golden sun glows over a watery blanket. On the top of the watery blanket is a large, steel-wooden, ship-boat; it is called a ship-boat because it's half boat and half ship. From a bird eye view, you see a figure standing on top of the ship-boat.As you zoom closer, you start to see the outline of the figure. Zooming closer, you see a tall, tan, muscular man with raven-color hair and ocean blue eyes, standing on the ship-boat.The man walks around the deck to make sure everything is intact, once he is done, he looks out onto the sea.The man been sailing since he was 10 with father. When he turned 17, his father died and left him the ship-boat,but he always remembers what his father said.

"Son, the sea is place where you lose your worries and stresses when you're on it".

His father is right with his statement because everytime he goes out on the sea, he forgets his worries and stresses, but he knows there more to being on the sea. He just doesn't know what it is. That is why the man comes to the sea again; in order to answer what puzzles him each day, when he wakes up. As the man looks out to sea, he remembers what the sea was to his father.

"Son, when you're on the sea, it feels like your floating on a fluffy blue cloud."

The man also agrees with that statement made by his father. He laughs at that memory and how his father would act like he was on a cloud. The man always loved how his father told him what the sea was to him. As he continues looking out at the bright-orange horizon, he notices a dense dark cumulus cloud. His father always said.

"Son, when you're on the sea, never doubt its calmness because it's like a football game, you never know when it can change."

With his father's words in mind, he begins to prepare for the storm, like a country preparing for war. He made sure that everything is tie down, that could be blown off the ship-boat. Just as the man finish tieing down everything, there is a loud roaring

sound. He sees a bright flash of light from the sky and feels the wind blowing through his raven-color hair; it's cold when it hits him on the face. Suddenly, there is a pounding on the ship-boat's deck and, then he feels ice-cold prickles hitting his warm face; he runs into the cabin to wait for the rain to cease.

When the rain finally cease, the man walks out of the cabin. As he walks around the deck, he remembers what his father said.

"When you're on the sea always look up at the sky after a storm; you will see the most beautiful sight ever."

The man looks up at the sky and sees a beautiful rainbow. The rainbow has all different colors, but it is not the rainbow that awes him, it's the sky behind the rainbow. The sky behind the rainbow looks like a piece of heaven, opened to make sailors love the sea even more. The sky causes him to be overjoy with emotions, tears running down his face and he wipes them off. As he continues to examine the deck for damages, he struggles to keep tears from forming.

When nightfall came, the man is laying on the floor of the ship-boat; looking at the stars glow and dance with the sea. He also listens to the sea hitting the ship-boat, it sounds like a sympathy playing. He remembers what his father said.

"Son, when you're on the sea during the night, the Earth is still and the sounds of nature are the only thing you hear."

His father is right about the sea at night. He never thought his father was such a great sailor, but he was wrong. When the man gets up, tears were running down his face; instead of wiping his eyes, he let the tears flow down his face. He walks towards his cabin and opens the door, but he shuts the door. The man stands in front of the door, tears still flowing down his face. Suddenly, the man punches the cabin door, without stopping; he falls on his knees with a sudden thump, crying loudly. He continues to cry for five minutes, when he stands up and looks at the brightly lit sky, with a sad look. The

sad look turns into a half smile. The mans stands up and walks over to the front of the deck, looking towards the sea.

The man came to the sea, searching for more about being on the sea; instead he found comfort. This trip was not about finding more about the sea, but to find comfort in his father's death, though many years ago. To the man, the sea is to find comfort within his life and that is the greatest gift the sea can give.

Scout574.
I too have spoken to people who agree; honestly, though, I'd rather just stay out of it.
I read your story, it's really good. :P Personally, I would have let SAM win. I'd rather be a cyborg than dead.

Paccehh, maybe you could post something on the deviantART account? To prove it's yours?
