These are the things which I will be reviewing you on. Be aware that I may add or remove anything to this rubric inductively as I judge.
Description: 0/20
Be sure to focus on this, as it will be a primary portion of your total score.
Adherence to theme: 0/10
Make sure your work suits the theme, or you will probably not win. =p
Plot: 0/10
Be aware that this is a fairly good chunk of the total grade, and you should do a lot of thinking regarding the way your story will play out to the end.
Grammar: 0/5
This includes your spelling, vocabulary usage, and structure. Use a spell checker if you like, as that will inevitably increase your score in this area. This is only a small portion of your total grade, but it will be judged carefully – and it could make the difference between a winning story and a losing story.
Total grade: 0/45
The story with the highest score in this area will win the contest. If the highest score is tied between two stories, the authors of those stories will be given 2 days to revise their stories and re-post them. I will then re-review them, and the winner will be chosen.
Also, I'd like to encourage everybody. Even if you don't think your story is very good, Post it!
If you later decide to change it, or post another entry (before the deadline), that is perfectly acceptable.
But if you post it, you can get feedback (though not from me, as that would be unfair because I am the judge), and thus improve it before the date.
Also, everybody enjoys writing, and hopefully most of you enjoy reading - thus I hope you will share your stories with us all. =]
Also, I'd like to thank everybody who is, or will be, participating in this contest. I hope it will help everybody out, and be a good method of bringing different authors together for the sake of community involvement. =p

Pown:
The story should be written based on the theme, which is "Something Ordinary made Extraordinary".
This is further explained in my last three posts, you may want to check them out if you're interested in posting an entry.

Thank you for the wonderful offer, but I don't think I'll be able to cope with this topic. In future contests with a topic I can relate to I'll perhaps post, but for now, I'm off to post another of my stories, and I'll hope you read it; it's called Sorrow.

A contest? I will definitely enter!
Now...what to write about? There are so many ordinary objects that could be extraordinary! It's just a matter of picking one out of many.
Edit: What exactly do you mean by "extraordinary"? An ordinary object that was used in an extraordinary way, perhaps by someone who, now, himself is considered extraordinary? Or extraordinary because it's sentient and can move and has superpowers? Or is the vagueness of "extraordinary" to allow imaginative ideas, such as these?
(Those ideas might also spark a plot in someone else)

Nomercyman1: In this case, the latter.
The vagueness of extraordinary was intentional as you surmised. I hope to see many very different stories.
A mug of coffee with superpowers could be hilarious, for instance.
It could also be about a mug of coffee which was shot out of somebodys hand, shattering on the ground. And then, a tyrant tread upon the glass, cut his feet and died. Thus ridding the world of a tyrant...Lol.
Of course, if your story follows that plot you'll probably not win - since it sucks and I just made it up off the top of my head. The point though, was to make it clear that extraordinary can apply to more than just the objects own properties, but also to the scenario in which it is used.

I look forward to your story. I hope you enjoy writing it! =]
