Nine plants remained, Pallidus counted plus, they had Arvis, now a vampire, to contend with to contend with. The vampire lady, who Pallidus figured was a mere spy had scurried off to Castle Gern. While Erik was busy contending with other plants, the slithering plant that Arvis shot was slithering towards towards Erik.
Arvis took out a dagger from his sheath and made a forward slash at Lithia, who parried his knife with her own. Though Lithia was quivering in sorrow. She really liked Arvis and now she was facing Arvis in battle. Each parry she pulled off against Arvis was slowly killing her. Each strike against Arvis pulled at her heartstrings.
Burgrod was confused as to why Lithia and Arvis were fighting until he saw that Arvis was now a vampire. Burgrod was saddened and began advancing on Arvis with his shield and axe at the ready. She ran toward Erik who was being swarmed by at least 5 of the remaining plants. Her main priority was to get as many plants away from Erik as possible, with an overhead smash with her hammer she crushed the bulb of the plant sending green plant material flying. two plants were angered and broke off to chase Zurga. "Oen thaeng thaugh, raed tae libraria aes faelled wieth thugs waering orangia haendkerchiifs trae tu snaek paest thaem if yae can. Thae aer faenanced bae thae traeditiionialits. Ai daent waent aenemies."
Belar translated for Annie. "One thing though, he says. the road to the library is filled with thugs wearing orange handkerchiefs. He doesn't want to be enemies with the traditionalists so if possible we should sneak past them." Shatterbrains nodded " yu daent waent tu bae aenemies wieth thaem aethier. Tenk oef thaes aes yur traening ain snaeking" he said

Pausing to take a look at the skirmish that had ended. Pallidus could see plants, and parts of plants were all over the limestone road. The only variable left was Arvis, who realized that Lithia's delaying tactics had worked. A searing white light enveloped him and off Arvis went in bat form back towards castle Gern. Lithia sheathed her daggers " Arvis..." was the only word she could mutter, and she muttered them with sadness inflected in her voice.
"I doubt that is the last we'll see of Arvis," Burgrod said, " Or that vampire lady, whoever she is" Burgrod uttered, exhausted from the skirmish. Seeing someone up ahead spoke up " Hey, there's someone coming this way!" Burgrod said still reeling from the encounter and very very paranoid that another vampire might be upon them. He readied his axe and shield, just in case the approaching man was a vampire.
When the mysterious individual arrived at their location, they were relieved that the person who they were greeted with was not a vampire at all, but a young lad with brownish-red hair, white skin, white robes, a whitewood staff and an uncanny resemblance to a younger version of Vyras with different colored hair. By the look of him, the young man was a healer

Shatterbones gestured Annie, Belar, and Kunigas to follow him into the market, where he saw a ridiculous caricature of Annie placed on a poster reading "WAENTAED faer saecraelligiously healing thae waise waeman, rewaerd, 500,000 gaeld" Belar read the wanted posted " Wanted for sacriligeously healing the wise woman, reward 500,000 gold. quite a bounty they have on you Annie" Up ahead Annie could see Hackskull tearing down the wanted posters of Annie that were put up. " Ai thaenk thaet down haer, yu aer quaete papulaer" Shatterbrains said "He said you are quite popular, but I'd stay alert, Annie, also look for any distractions you can" Belar said Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
