Hackskull nodded " yaes whaet ai tot yu, aend yu wael goe faer" Hackskull said. Belar translated "He sees great potential in you, use what he's taught and you will go far." she said. Hackskull the went back to the village, but Shatterbrains remained behind. "Insaefferable," he said "Thae waerk oef mascles wael only gaet yu so far. Hackskull oenly knaews hao to overpaewer aenemy, understaending aenemy is jaest aes impoertaent" He said to nobody in particular.
Belar translated "'Insufferable,' he says. The work of muscles will only get you so far, Hackskull only knows how to overpower an enemy; understanding the enemy is just as important" Belar told Annie then asked Shatterbrains a question
"Yu aer taelking abowt staelth, aerent yu?" Belar asked inquisitively. Shatterbrains nodded, "Uendertaending thae aenemy, owtsmaerting him, outmaenaevering, praedicting the aenemy's maevement, aend paesitioning oen's saelf in saech a wae thaet he wael naever knoew yu waer thaer," Belar translated back to Sudovian for Annie "He says understanding the enemy, outsmarting him, outmaneuvering him, and predicting the enemy's movement. and positioning one's self in such a way that he will never know you were there"
"The fine art of assassination and backstabbing essentially," Kunigas said bluntly " It seems that Shatterbrains here is a master of stealth, traps, and understanding the enemy. It sounds like he's offering to train you in this fine art." Belar translated Kunigas' understanding into ancient drowish for Shatterbrains, who nodded "Thoese kaeds mae need tae escape staelthfully, they will need saemeoen to guaide thaem owt,"
Belar looked through her book. Then translated back to Sudovian " Those kids may need to escape stealtfully; they will need someone to guide them out,"

Annie listened what Belar translated what Huckskull was telling her. It’s so much information to take in. She didn’t know how to respond
Then she heard Shatterbrains comments as Belar translated what he said. Then she Heard the conversation between Shatterbrains, Belar and Kunigas. She was ready to learn what she needed to learn from Shatterbrains. She responded with a smile,” i’m ready to learn whatever I need to learn to save those children.”

Since his shield hadn't deteriorated, Erik kept it raised. Chunks of tombstones lied nearby and, if he had the time, would throw a few at spitting plants to help anyone too far away, though where was the vampire woman who summoned the plants? After dealing with the immediate issues, assuming they were indeed dealt with, Erik would seek her out.
Sakura had a lot of catching up to do. Vyras dumped his work onto her. On a nearby desk which was now Sakura's desk, there were stacks of papers that needed to be graded, projects that needed critiquing, paperwork that needed signing. Patience was needed, as was required of Samurai.
Gabiya and Subaki were now sparring with wooden swords. Subaki had placed his katana against the wall. A downward arc with the sword from Gabiya was easily dodged by Subaki, who strafed to the side. Subaki slashed his sword vertically at Gabiya, but she tilted her sword down and parried the blade, and used her weight to push Subaki back. Gabiya, stood a foot taller than Subaki. Most of the other students watched except for Allauda
Allauda's main concern was for her teacher. "Did Master Vyras give you any breakdown of our assignments, The upcoming field trip, projects and the like, Miss Sakura? Because he assigned a lot of stuff to us. Prior to the siege." She asked.

“When fighting against a taller foe,” Sakura commented as she watched the duelling students, “aim for the abdomen. It is harder to dodge with your midsection. A shorter fighter’s arms are also closer to the taller foe’s stomach.”
“As for the taller fighting against the shorter...respect what nature gave you. Attack exclusively the head and forearms and wrists whenever your foe makes his move, whilst moving around continuously. A sudden feint, shout or flurry of attacks can make him flinch or panic.”
Sakura turned her head in Allauda’s direction. “The purpose of the warrior is to grasp swords and to die. There should be no other concerns or duties.” Whatever response or lack of a response Allauda had, Sakura would then say: “Allauda, explain to Conomor your former assignments.”
Subaki, taking a cue from Sakura's teachings parried Gabiya's next strike at a 90 degree angle with the wooden sword, then using his free hand, punched Gabiya in the stomach, losing her breath momentarilly until she regained composure. "You fight dirty for the child of a samurai," Gabiya said
Conomore watching the display was disinterested " Gabiya, you suck, you fell for the oldest trick in the book. To a worthless Bushi kid, no less!" Conomore said venomously. Subaki ignored Conomores hateful comment.
Gabiya struck again, but Subaki sidestepped out of the way then struck at her wrists with enough force to knock the weapon out of her hands. Gabiya winced in pain but then regained composure a second later.
"Marvelous display," Davide said.

Allauda took a deep breath at her teacher's comment, " I understand the warrior's purpose, but Vyras was going to have us go out for field experience today. Nothing serious, just putting feral vampires out of their misery around the cathedral perimeter. That's what I was getting at Miss Sakura. You would be supervising us, of course, and getting involved only when necessary. "

Shatterbrains was delighted by Annie's eagerness. "Faerst laessons: Tae thaengs I wael taech, haeman: Haeding yaer scaent, aend snaeking" he said earnestly. "He's going to teach you how to hide your scent and sneak first" Belar translated for Annie.
Shatterbrains handed Annie a pouch labeled " Skaenk oeil." When Belar read the lablel she translated it as "skunk oil" for Annie "Maeny craetures caent staend thae smaell oef thaes staeff." Shatterbrains said. Belar translated "Many creatures can't stand the smell of skunk oil." she said "Smart."

Annie listened carefully what Belar as she translating for Shatterbrains. She was excited to learn. Then Shatterbrains handed her pouch that Belar translated that it was skunk oil and explained what to do with it. She responded with surprise,” I did not know this. I was wondering, what kind of animals that skunk oil work against?”

Belar translated Annie's conversation to ancient drowish. Shatterbrains thought for a second thumbing his chin then said "Daown haere? Aet wael woerk oen the zmei, baet aet wael also raepel tunnelstalkers-"
Belar shuddered at the word 'tunnelstalkers.' She translated for Annie "It will wofk on the dragon, and tunnelstalkers. Tunnelstalkers are rat-like and hunt in packs. They eat meat. Nasty creatures.

Annie listened carefully to Belar as she translated for Shatterbrains just told her. She thought all this information was important to know for her mission to save those children. She asked,” so how much skunk oil do I need to hide my scent from a dragon and other creatures?”
