Finally, Kunigas sat down in a seat across from Annie on the rectangular table. Belar took her seat as well, next to Annie. “For once I feel like we can relax,” Belar said. Kunigas nodded, “I whole-heartedly agree, but be prepared for anything; It’s unlikely anything will happen, but the company of friends is where enemies sometimes hide.” he said, cautiously.
Belar had no idea if Kunigas was mistrustful of the goblins, or if it was the vampire hunter in Kunigas that was speaking, or if Kunigas’ status as a true Naktian priest was the reason he was being so cautious. His order did, after all seal them away. They must have had some reason to do that Belar suspected. “Father, what are you afraid of?” Belar asked. Kunigas seemed uneasy.
“Two words: political schemes. I can think of two ways this alliance can go wrong. The Naktians end up pulled into internal goblin politics, or they get pulled into our conflict with the vampires. Each goblin may want something more from us than an alliance, and that may be a guarantee of safety that we may regret giving. May I suggest offering a trade alliance with the council rather than a military alliance, like what the elves have with the drugal. If goblins wish to fight on the surface, they can do so.” Kunigas explained as meat and mashed potatoes were passed out by the goblin chefs to Annie’s table. Hackskull was currently in a conversation with the wise woman, and the council. The wise woman seemed delighted, the council seemed bored of festivities, and eager to get the political dealings over with. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

“How shall we proceed, dark one?” Scarlet asked. “Dark one” was a common greeting amongst drow. Scarlet studied the map as well. The map pointed to an area of the sewers Scarlet knew well. “I did many expeditions down here in the day looking for treasure. Rumor had it that King Mathias hid some of his wealth down here in case he was ever deposed. Never found anything, but I do know that area of the sewers.” He said, thinking back to his exploits.
“So that’s what they are hiding behind that heavy reinforced door, there isn’t even a guard posted outside. I assumed it was a secret vault hiding vast quantities of wealth, but I guess not. There are plenty of shadowy nooks and crannies to hide in, and I doubt the vampires would expect intruders in their sanctum. It’s the door that’s the problem. Vilnius’ sewers were infamous for imprisoning even minor criminals in cells barely wide enough to hold a person, and barely tall enough to stand in. The guard reinforced many doors in the sewers back in the day to the point that magic and even explosives won't bust the lock open.” Scarlet thought for a minute on how to get past the door. Nothing is impenetrable. They must have waste to get rid of from time to time, likely bodies. We could ambush the next group of people taking out the trash” Scarlet said, grinning. Erik charged towards the blue skinned Vixnar brute. Above him, on the rooftops, Lithia sank her serrated daggers into the gaps of plate armor, and into the back of one archer who had Erik in his sights. Lithia playfully stabbed the vampire repeatedly and drenched herself in a bath of crimson. Meanwhile, a group of 30 seasoned, and heavily armed stout dwarf warriors of great strength and human mercenaries of great courage and all armed with a variety of weapons such as swords, axes, and crossbows made of firm oak and iron limbs.
Armed with plate armor, and all wielding battleaxes of fine silver, these dwarf warriors came out of the Belching Toad Tavern; Though they probably drank many a glass of frothy ale, they had had come out to join the defense of the town, not in the least bit drunk. They charged merrily while the vampires on the rooftops fired arrows at them. One human warrior in Erik’s sight tossed a throwing axe expertly into the skull of an elf vampire about to fire his crossbow at him.
The human archers took out a few vampires with their crossbows, before one elf vampire armed with a crossbow picked off a human archer right next to a dwarf, who tossed a tomahawk into the vampire’s skull, before the blue-skinned commander picked up the dwarf who tried to hack off the brute’s arm. The vampire blocked the blows with his iron bracer, and then tossed the dwarf at Erik.
It didn’t take long for the vampiric counteroffensive to begin. As they charged, Lithia made her way via rooftop towards the vampire commander. Having surveyed the battlefield, she identified several spots to try to assassinate the commander, though she also realized that for her plan to work, she needed a perfect time to strike, and unfortunately, one of the vampires, who happened to be looking up at the building, because he wasn’t sure about the danger the building posed until Lithia jumped on it. “CHOKE ON FIRE, LITTLE ELF!” the bloodsucker shrieked as it tossed fireballs at the building Lithia was on. Faced with the shockwaves of each successive fireball being launched at the building, Lithia made her way through the second-floor window of the local blacksmith shop and out it. A group of vampires, led by the one chucking fireballs at the building Lithia was on, gave chase.
She hopped onto the sign of the blacksmith shop, then onto the streetlamps. Here a bunch of vampires cornered her.
“TEEHEE, BOMBS FOR EVERYBODY!” Lithia shouted playfully on the streetlamps, before tossing smoke bombs onto the street and disappearing into the smoke. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Lord Sudaro Draconis:
Over the past several hours, Lord Sudaro Draconis and his purebloods intercepted many missives from Clan Gern. It became evident from encoded messages that not only did Clan Gern know where the Naktians were, but that they were tightening a noose around the entire group, so to speak. The Naktians were the largest group of vampire hunters in Sudovia.
To that end, Sudaro suited up in his intricately inlaid white leather armor with golden embroidery and snake symbol heraldry on both pauldrons of his leather armor. He took his spear adorned with a spear blade reminiscent of a slithering serpent and flew off in bat form with 30 men-at-arms. After a flash of golden light, they had transformed into bats; one of which was his second Antra, and another vampire of note was his cousin Lady Sedika Draconis. Who swore that she’d protect her cousin on the boat ride to Sudovia.
Antra was a blonde-haired, with skin like white snow, like all of House Draconis. She was a titan of a woman who stood at eight feet tall, was extremely muscular, and had a distinctive white plate armor and a horned helmet. She also wielded a two-handed double-bladed, double edged battle axe that looked like two halberds had been forge-welded together into one colossal axe.
Everyone knew not to mess with Antra. She carried much respect among the hugely patriarchal House Draconis as the only woman worthy of going into battle with them. Sedika was not supposed to come. In fact, Sedika had to beg Sudaro to take her with him, Sudaro agreed because Sedika and Sudaro became much closer after Lord Velnias’ murder. She was someone Sudaro trusted, as were the vampires in his retinue. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

. For the mission Sudaro had in mind, he only wanted people he could trust. Antra also had a massive rack in her human form. It was likely the reason the other men put up with her.
Antra was a fiery woman whose hatred for Clan Gern, and Lexius nearly exceeded Suraro’s own, but for different reasons than Sudaro. Like everyone in House Draconis, her pupils were gold. Antra and Sudaro were arguing while they flew south.
“We will only win by chipping away at their influence, Antra. We should use lies, deceit, and subterfuge to do so.” Sudaro said to her as they flew “Or we can strike now! They are not expecting us! Let House Draconis’ might break their castles and their fortifications!” she said with fiery hateful zeal. The only thing they DID agree on was bringing the Naktians into the fold, other than that, they were always at each other’s throats. Given their constant bickering, like a married couple, there were rumors that lord and retainer were romantically involved. Rumors which Sudaro denied. Even though the rumors did not cease.
“We need to save the Naktians" Sudaro argued. "They know the land well, and we are at a disadvantage against Clan Gern. They would have entrenched themselves deeply here in Sudovia over the last 500 years. I only know Sudovia from father’s maps that Gin Wu, the explorer father funded, brought back from her expedition west, and gave him.” Antra disagreed with her lord, as only she could.
“No, we should use them as fodder.” Antra said with a tone of absoluteness. Sudaro disagreed with her. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

“What good would cannon fodder do?” Sudaro asked, “They are better off helping us erode their influence, and they would know how to do it. they’ve been fighting the Gerns for decades.” Sudaro shot back, stressed that this gigantic beast of a woman would openly defy him. That Antra could even talk this way with her superior openly only seemed to purther propgate rumors of romance between the two.
“Antra, why do we always end up disagreeing with each other so vehemently?” he asked. Antra thought for a minute as they turned right past some trees. “May I speak freely, Lord” Antra asked. “Please do.” Sudaro said invitingly.
She thought for a moment. “Is it not possible to bring House Gern back to Sanguinos, execute the current regime, and replace them?” She asked.
“Never call them ‘House Gern’ again. They are irrelevant now. A remnant from a time before. House Tilvus has taken their position as Lords of the Harvest, as well as retained their position as the local port authority in Beol. Call them “Clan Gern.” There is a major difference. Calling them ‘House Gern’ implies they still have authority on Sanguinos. They do not. Sudaro informed her.
“Does the entirety of House Draconis have to go to war with Clan Gern, then?” She asked as Vilnius came into view. “It’s not just House Draconis coming here. The Mortus Priests are coming as well. Lexius’ 900 half-vampire offspring, also want his head, and have joined House Mortus. Sudaro corrected her.
“The problem with Clan Gern is that they seem to have gotten away with their treason. As head of House Draconis, he can’t let them do so. So even if justice is 500 years late, it will come. Their betrayal not only caused centuries of civil war, allowing them to escape set a horrible precedent giving any lesser vampire the idea that they can openly defy us.” Sedika informed informed Antra.
“And surprise attacks are honorable? Why not settle the matter with a declaration of war?” Antra said disapprovingly. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
