"Jasmine Tea it is, then!" Vyras said with a bit of excitement. Vyras walked to the nearby water barrel and dipped the nearby metal tea kettle into the water to get some into it, then he hung it over a metal spit that overlooked dead firepit. He hobbled his way with his stick and rolled firewood into a small pit and then engulfed his hands in mystic fire. and then lit the logs. Being affected by the Necrotus curse, this was somewhat risky, but for a simple cup of tea, Vyras supposed it was all right.
Within ten minutes, the water had been brought to a boil, and the characteristic humming and venting of steam from the kettle signaled that the water was ready. Vyras took two ceramic cups, and poured water into them. Steam rose from the cups of water. Vyras then took out two bags of tea leaves. For Sakura, he dropped an open bag of jasmine tea leaves into her cup, and for Vyras, he dropped peppermint. A short while later, Vyras' bag of leaves floated to the top of his cup. It was a sign that the flavor had set in. Vyras sat down. Vyras waited for a minute for his tea to cool a little and then he took a sip. He thought about what to say for a minute,
"Apologies for the rotting furniture, Sakura. We desperately need to hire a carpenter, but nobody wants to make the journey here from Vilnius. Too dangerous. We even offered protection on the road. Nobody took us up on the offer. You saw the Vampiric Venus flowers on the road. I have the books you need for your job right here." Vyras took out a book from his bag entitled Guerilla Tactics Against Vampiric Bastards and placed it on the table.
"We've fought vampires using hit and run tactics for centuries. Lensa and I believe that your experience as a samurai can help us improve them greatly in the future. As for your students, you'd be looking over two groups of 8 students. I have the list of names here. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
