Erik:

"Not a problem, yes those tactics are sound. If you ever end up pursued by vampires, lure them uphill, you'll tire them out slowly, and if you find yourself facing a pureblood, lure it up the mountains, vampires, like mortals can't breathe as efficiently in high elevation, so you'll both be on even ground when it comes to your stamina. If you use the weather, you might be able to outlast it." Darius said before Erik ascended the ladder to the top of the roof,

Darius thought to himself seemingly reading Erik's thoughts. "I don't expect you to remember it, warrior."

Upon ascending the roof, Erik could spot black smoke rising from the northeast. To the west, Erik could spot the same dragon in some kind of skirmish and barraging whomever it was battling with frost breath. Presumably the same rider was on the dragon's back. Whomever it was seemed was busy, and the rider and the dragon weren't heading towards the cathedral, in fact, it and the dragon were headed the opposite direction back southeast towards Castle Gern, or whatever was left of it.

Close by there were the echoes of screams of agony, and the overwhelming odor of smoke and burnt flesh. Another spot to investigate perhaps? Directly southwest of Erik, and stood standing on the dirt path towards Pragaras were two figures waving their hands in Erik's direction. They were very close; so close that Erik could almost see the pink hole that once housed a now-missing eye and Erik could clearly make out that the two had to be Zurga and Burgrod. They were even wearing the armor of the two orcs.

"Good view up there?" Burgrod asked Erik. "What do you see?"

Annie:

Yurts were too flappy to knock on. There was usually no surface hard enough to make a sound loud enough to be heard. Belar walked up to the lattice work and knocked on it. No response came for around three seconds. Then the flap of the yurt opened. To Belar’s horror, the heavily tattooed elderly goblin had no eyes, only holes where eyes once were. Belar gasped, and nearly fainted. She began looking for any surface that could hold her up as she tried to keep herself from vomiting out her meal. Eventually she propped herself against a stalagmite and sat - more like fell to her knees to get into a sitting position - to regain her balance, and sat so that the stalagmite supported her back. Heavy sweat pooled around Belar’s forehead, and her dark turquoise skin turned a paler shade of the color.

"Dear Lathana, what happened to you," Belar said in Sudovian.

Eventually Belar regained composure and stood up. She noticed something about the tattoos, they seemed to be telling a story. Possibly the story of the tribe Though the majority were concealed by white silk garments that she couldn't see through. Belar was curious. She spoke to Annie, " I think we need that book of ancient drowish phrases, Annie" she said.

Annie was shocked what she just saw. She felt scared and sad for this elder of the goblin. She walked over to her trying to stay calm and said,”I am going to heal you.” She put her hand on her to heal her. She listened what Belar and agreed. She said,”I agree. Should I stay here to guard her or should I come with you to get your book?” -Dances-

Annie:

What happened to this goblin? Belar wondered to herself. The goblin was clicking her tongue, and she seemed to be able to sense movement, even if she couldn't see it. She doesn’t seem to be in pain, no moans of agony.
The scars around her eyes had faded somewhat, indicating that it had been years since they were removed. Judging by the way she was tattooed, she could have had them removed during a ceremony of some sort. She turned to Annie.

“I don’t think she’s in pain, and I’m worried that they’ll see your magic you preparing to attack. Look at her, she’s obviously important, we can’t afford to have a slip up yet, we don’t have their trust, If you want to, go ahead. It could be a step in the right direction. I can sense a healer among the goblins watching us. You, as a mage have that talent too, but you haven't had a teacher to help hone your senses.” Belar told Annie. As for my book, I'm not sure we can just leave yet, The goblins might see our leaving as us getting the troops ready for an attack."

- Annie:

The decision of whether to heal the goblin is up to you. Even if she's not in pain, the fact that you are even attempting to heal her may taken as a be a sign that you are not a threat to them, or you could not risk it, they could see it as you preparing an attack.

Sakura and Vyras:

Vyras hobbled his way to the mess hall. The dimensions measured a 50 by 60 square foot rectangle filled with tables and chairs made of rotting wood. Once he got to his seat - the nearest to the door - he set his tea down, and took out a selection of tea leaves in a small, but special oak wood box for Sakura to choose from. Vyras took a seat

"Which tea would you like, peppermint tea, nettle, blueberry tea? Perhaps Jasmin tea, or spearmint, I've got a whole selection here for you. I even brought this." Vyras took a bottle of Sake out of his bag.

"I'll get the pot boiling. Also, sorry for seeming all romantic to you, I only have eyes for Kunigas, who literally forced me to take a Lathana-damned bath last night. It was awful! I hate getting wet, ever since a wolf attack which forced me into a river at 13. I almost drowned. He also forced me to put rosy perfume on the bastard." Vyras said.

-Azi:

Which tea will you choose? There's more tea in that box than what Vyras offered

1) Peppermint tea

2) Nettle tea

3) Blueberry tea

4) Jasmin tea

5) Spearmint tea

6) Herbal Tea

7) Sake

Annie listened to Belar just told her. She replied trying to stay calm voice,” I understand she is important but I can’t just let her be this way from whatever just happened to her. Plus if those guards come back and see her on the floor in this condition we will get blamed for it and if she dies we will get blamed for it. I already lost so many people that I cared about for my village. I just can’t lose anyone else.” Tears fell down her face with the emotion that she hasn’t felt for so long of everything just happened to her. It just felt good to cry at this moment. She put her hands on the goblin and started healing her even if there’s no wounds to make her well again. She hopes this act of kindness will prove that they’re not going to harm the goblins and make allies. -Dances-

Erik

“Well enough!” he replied. “I see smoke in the northwest, hopefully it isn’t another forest fire. Westward, there’s that dragon again, might be fighting a frostwyrm or something, can’t quite make it out, the dragon’s heading southeast towards Castle Gern.”

A few moments passed.

“I smell smoke and burning meat, not quite sure exactly, possible Leshy activity? I’d alert the castle guards right now in case. Southwest seems to be the Orks, one of them is missing an eye. Does that signify any clue to what we’re facing?”

Sakura

She winced at the presence of rotting furniture, though humility was something she could work on, and appreciate in others, too.

Her mask glossed the box interior. Sanpin-cha? Sakura thought as Vyras mentioned the teas. “Jasmine tea,” she softly hissed.

Erik:

((Pssst, that orc with the missing eye is the orc you are talking to, that’s Burgod. The other orc is Zurga. There are no other orcs to the southwest ))

Burgrod, meanwhile listened to Erik’s observations. The mention of the dragon filled Burgrod with dread.”

“Considering what Vyras did to get you guys out of Castle Gern, another forest fire is a distinct possibility. Frost Wyrm? Dragon? It don’t matter. It needs to die; it is a big problem if the Gerns have one. Something as proud as a dragon would not willingly let itself be rode on by a ground-walking vampire without a good reason.” He continued.

“Westward you said was where the creature was? That’s where Geldas’ fighters are! I hope that elf is okay. He leads a much smaller band of fighters, and he would not retreat unless someone knocked him out. It would be a shame if he died. He breeds horses. Horses are hard to find these days. Vampires hunt them mercilessly. Can't have your blood-cattle able to outrun a vampire by riding a horse.” Burgrod said.

Pallidus, hearing Erik’s conversation flew onto the roof, and tapped Erik’s shoulder while still floating in the air. Which was a little risky as the rumbling of thunder could be heard in the distance.

“I don’t like the smell of the forest either, I will inform Lensa of the increased number of security threats to the cathedral. ((It’s a Cathedral and not a castle, lol))” Pallidus Informed Erik.

Thinking of the smell of rotting meat, Pallidus eventually came to a conclusion.

“It’s not Leshy activity you are smelling, the amount of death in Sudovia has made spirits restless throughout the countryside. Drugal caravans often go missing due to angry spirits. It’s a big problem. You might be smelling the residual haunting of the Cathedral grounds. The original Naktian priests did not fare well against their vampire besiegers. Many were burnt alive. Others escaped, and a few had nothing to do with the siege. That is what you are smelling. Either that or someone does not know how to roast meat that well.” Pallidus said attempting to add some levity to the situation.

Burgrod continued. “Erik, things sound extremely bad right now bad, but at the moment, I still think Pragaras is our best stop there’s no guarantee we’ll find clues if we try to survey the damage of a long-gone wyrm If on the other hand you wish to forgo looking for clues and sweep for survivors, we’ll go with you, and look for anyone lucky enough to survive. We follow your lead.

Lithia skipped childishly and joined the conversation which caused Burgrod to smile. The scary, one-eyed orc could not help it.

“I VOTE WE GO LOOKING FOR SURVIVORS, THERE MIGHT BE VAMPIRES TO STABBIES!” Lithia said enthusiastically.

Azi:
You can:
Proceed heading in the direction of Pragaras, look for clues… Talk to locals... Real boring stuff.

OR:
You could go sweep for survivors, who knows? You might get a reward out of rescuing them from the ruins, you’d still go to Pragaras eventually, though. Sakura would get a horse out of this. We did talk about this a while ago
