Upon stepping down as leader, Vyras took up his dream job as a teacher. Vyras decided early on that in order to prevent a return to the bad old days, education was the key in preventing a return to passivity. He taught history, as well as the magical arts, eventually going on to train several high profile commanders including Alexandre, and Lensa Thrice-Bitten. Though when he was needed, he joined battles as well. Vyras is a gifted leader, quick thinking, and charismatic.

During his years as a teacher, he met a young priest named Kunigas while visiting a bookshop in Vilnius. it was a rainy day, and Kunigas was donating books that his monastery didn't didn't need to the bookshop. The sack that he was carrying ripped in the heavy rain and the books spilt onto the wet streets of the city. Vyras helped pick them up for Kunigas. Kunigas was 14 years Vyras' junior. Vyras was 38 at the time.

Despite the age difference it became clear that the two, despite having different views of magic, had the same reverence for reading and words, and the two began dating, contrary to the vows of moral "straightness" the monastery advocated. Eventually Kunigas got kicked out of the monastery, but Kunigas got the last laugh as he still finished seminary and eventually becameone of the few remaining priests left in Sudovia. For many more years, the old man taught. Until he learned that a major offensive against Castle Gern was being planned. Eager for one last mission before he died, Vyras, despite being told several times that he was too old to fight, convinced command that he could contribute by summoning a vast army of undead to help the assault. For months, Vyras prepared himself mentally for a ritual to summon hundreds of undead at once. At the end of his preparation, Vyras was ready for his final mission. Characters:

Vyras (Pink 4 Twink): A seasoned resistance commander with a foul mouth. He is a master necromancer, and he is often ridiculed for his foul odor. Vyras at 89, is finally looking to retire and let the young'uns be the heroes.

Vyrl( Demither10) : A cowardly Vampiric Drow obsessed with death and necromancy. (Inactive)

Annie: (Annie1227): A kind-hearted half-elf teenager unlucky enough to be captured by vampires.

Erik Asvoldsson (Azi Demonica): A headstrong warlord captured by sneaky vampires.

Farth Teldarian: An exiled dwarf prince, with a frightening temper, sent to the cathedral hideout as a "gift commander" by King Asgrin of Ballvorrik, unfamiliar with surface ways.

Sakura: ( Azi Demonica): A woman born into a samarai household. Emotionless, and pitiless, Sakura has set out to grant salvation to any who deserve it

Elyssa Sahrawian (Riniya): A wood elf archer, healer, and illusion mage. Currently on the front lines with Alexandre.. (Inactive)

Princess Lia (Inferi): A moody vampiric teenaged Sudovian royal who hates everything. (Inactive)

Sir Hadrian Hallow: (George Rozas) A knight from a time before Sudovia went to shit. Returned to the land of the living through sheer willpower alone. (Inactive)

Malus Atrabladum (Azi Demonica): A particularly blackhearted drow assassin, with a grudge against his entire family. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Guidelines for New RPers

1) To avoid autohitting, don't have your character's action, and the damage in the same post

2) To avoid skill-based godmodding, try to measure out how long it will take to learn or advance a skill. A novice computer programmer, for example would not be able to program a complex app without some help.

3) To avoid situational godmodding, simply ask questions before you post if the answer is unclear. I find that as a writer, I sometimes forget to add important details that you need. So ask questions often, especially if you are missing important information needed to post.

5) Twinking… It is essentially making your character act nonsensically for no reason and not anticipating the consequences of your character’s actions. I can give many examples of my doing this over the years.




For example “Cyrus the Humble haughtily charges his mighty armored steed down a busy intersection, causing pedestrians to scramble for cover, dropping groceries, destroying vegetables, and causing general havoc. The Rper then does not expect the consequences of his actions: being fined for reckless riding, or being dragged off to jail for criminal mischief and reckless riding. Furthermore, he becomes angry over the consequences his character may face.


I am saying try to, [b plan out your characters actions, measure out the consequences thereafter. If you do that, you will be fine. Every action has consequences.[/b] For example, don’t attack Castle Gern by yourself without expecting to be captured or killed by sheer numbers. Don’t be twinky. It’s not fun for the other role-players, and can lead to drama that I’d rather avoid. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

New Rpers:

With the way I formatted the RP, all the current Rpers out of the dungeons, I assume you may be wondering: "Is this RP still open?" The answer is yes, it is still open. It however dawned on me a few weeks ago just how hard it would be for new players to join. I recently had to do someone else's intro. It was super unorthodox, and could have backfired.

To prevent this situation from repeating, I have decided to clarify just how you may join, if you are interested.

1) Chances are that wherever Vyras and company are, you can spawn your new character nearby. Perhaps your character was one of the escapees from Castle Gern, or you are a resistance fighter from outside the castle.

2) Wherever Vyras and company are traveling, you may spawn your character in a nearby village, and I will have Vyras swoop by with company in tow, and pick up your character. I kept the map extremely vague to allow this to happen. This will likely be the easiest way for you to join.

Sunlight, silver, holy places, and garlic:

Vampyro's world building was not executed well. I am new to being a threadmaster, and my inexperience shows in some areas of the RP. Sunlight for example is one thing I caused confusion? Does the sunlight exist, or not?!

The answer here is that it does. The phrase "eternal night" in the poem is metaphorical, that being said, the sun itself was affected by whatever Balta did with the Sunstaff. In vampire myths, a vampire is usually vulnerable to sunlight. In Vampyro, that trope is reversed: Mortals are vulnerable in the sunlight and take constant damage in it. Vampires retain their vulnerability to silver though. However there is research among vampire mages on how to get around that vulnerability. It is all theories at this point. Al
Most vampires have trouble entering holy places like churches. Pureblooded vampires don't and can enter any holy place they choose. In addition, humans all seem to feel an aversion to Garlic. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
