Havoc opens her mouth to respond—then tilts her head with a frown. Long nights on the river taught you to listen, and she swears she can almost hear... music?

She sways slightly, head tilting to the other side, straining her ears for the faint melody. She seems to have entirely forgotten her companions.

Annie said with a smile,” I know I look very young, but I am 14 years old. I know how to fight with a sword and bow and arrows, survival skills and so much more because I was trained by my father before I ran away from home. I fought vampires away from my Village a few years ago and we won. Also I know how dangerous this adventure might be and I am fully prepared for this adventure.” She was going no matter what anyone says. She didn’t tell them that she has powers because she didn’t know how they would react to it. She looked at Havoc and asked,”Are you ok?” -Dances-

Annie said,” I am happy you are ok Havoc.” That’s when she heard the comment not an elf. She replied in a calm voice,”I am Half human and half elf.” She felt a little nervous what they would think of her that she is not fully an elf but half elf. -Dances-

Hraldmir snorted dismissively.

" Try for a more convincing lie next time, not a soul around who'd believe you managed to kill a vampire, let alone multiple before your teen years, " He said, not believing her in the slightest. After all, vampires were nigh-on unkillable undead with deadly abilities in both direct combat and subterfuge - the child saying she had fought not only one, but multiple? AND won? Impossible. Full vampires didn't work in groups, which was good - one alone was a devastating monster, multiple working together? The death of entire kingdoms would follow.

Being 14 meant nothing - she'd already told him that, the point still stood. Albeit it was lessened somewhat upon the revelation that the child wasn't a full elf, but a half elf. Not that it changed much, in all honesty. But rather more importantly...

" So you say you're ready to do everything I just said - kill innocent people for gold if that's what's asked of you, all for the sake of your precious adventure? " He didn't look very pleased by the girl admitting that.

"Well!" Havoc claps her hands with a broad smile, plainly discomfited by the tense tone. "This is a lovely converse to be taking, and no mistake, but vampires and liars and elves and killers aside, I reckon it's not one we need to be havin' over empty stomachs, is it, master dwarf? Little mistress?" She cocks her head. "So as the ship's recently hired cook, why don't I show us to the galley and we can see what's to be made of the place?" She nods to the middle-aged swordsman as he approaches, just in case he's also to be a crewmate.

"Besides," she murmurs, quiet as dust, to the dwarf, "her ethicals aside, if I'm to be cook, I don't reckon we'll be sending any child away without a meal in their belly, yea?"

Annie knew she wasn’t lying about her fought against the vampires at village and won. She said,”I don’t care if you don’t believe me for protecting my village from the vampires. I fought in that battle.” She listened to Hraldmir talk about coming on this adventure. She replied,” As I said before I am ready for an adventure.” She was not going to back down to anyone. She has every right to be here like everybody else.

Then she heard Havoc comment. She really liked Havoc but didn’t like Hraldmir. She responded to Havoc,”Ok. Let’s go. I need to learn how to get around this ship anyway.”

The human - Havoc seemed to be their name - attempted to calm the air by suggesting they retire to the galley for some possible food, albeit Hraldmir's gaze remained fixated squarely on Annie as the girl doubled down on her lie, furthermore going on to double down that she was ready for an adventure. After the dwarf's reiteration of telling her what she was saying to him, she confirmed it. For a moment even he was stunned by the callous nature of her words, his thoughts flickering to rumination - wondering, how could one so young act so ready to be a monster?

Bravado? Perhaps. True maliciousness? Maybe. Desperation? Possible. Stubborn pride? Likely.

Regardless the girl agreed with Havoc's idea, and though he was far from pleased by the outcome of this conversation Hraldmir also couldn't fault the human's words. The dwarf's attempts at dissuading the child only made her double down further, meaning at this point it would be down to convincing the captain not to take her aboard - especially if the man were to agree to what Hraldmir was going to propose.

For now though he stepped aboard the ship, deciding that it'd be impossible to miss the captain when he showed up if he were aboard with the supposed new cook. In the brief moments of quiet that followed the talk the dwarf paused, raising his head slightly as soft notes of music floated across from somewhere nearby - a gentle song, beautiful. So different from the songs of home, impactful... But not as much as those he held close to his heart.

A glimpse of a figure - ethereal and beautiful - poised upon the bow caught his eye for a moment. He turned away - he would find the spirit later, but for now he had other concerns.

Havoc seems to have some trouble finding the galley, but wastes no time once they do making themselves at home—casting off their clinking jacket and unloading a bag full of vegetables, fruits and other cooking staples. Regardless of how well-stocked the larder already is, it seems Havoc came prepared. She quickly sets about getting the fire going to cook something simple but delicious: a meal of eggs, generously-spiced roasted apples, and greens and mushrooms cooked in a creamy sauce. A lot of it won't last beyond a few weeks, after all, so best to use them when they were fresh. Besides, it's her first day on the job, and she's got to make a good impression.

She also makes sure to give a generous allotment of feed to the two galley hens. It's bad luck to leave shore with underfed animals on board, after all.

Busy as she is with her tasks, Havoc only half-pays attention to the conversations happening around her. She doesn't take off the bundled sword, either.

Annie followed Havoc inside of the ship. She was excited to see what was inside the ship. When they got to the kitchen she was shocked what she saw. She sat down on a chair watched her cooking something. She asked,” I was wondering,What are you cooking?” She trust Havoc. -Dances-
