The crystalline creature landed in the water, which rose only to cover it’s feet. If it could even be called feet… The animal was the general shape of a lion… but it seemed more robotic than animal, and it’s design was a very simplified one.
Tyl stumbled backwards to get out of its why.
“Why is it attacking us?” he asked no one in particular,
The group’s Stars answered with another vision- to quickly to see and yet they would suddenly know.
The fight that the Woman in White had spoken of. The people involved were afraid of dying. Very shortly after it began there were many casualties. It was easier to make soldiers out of crystal and animate them with the power in the Crystal Hearts than it was to sacrifice natural life.
The creature roared once more, and it’s “mane” spun around it’s neck as if it were a separate piece- a wheel spinning along a spoke. Pieces of crystal of shot from it and landed in the dirt. They moved like crystal slugs. The lion like monster was trying to create more of itself, Tyl realized.
“You guys,” Tyl called to the others. “Our Stars know what this is! You realize that right? Ok!* he took his star in his hand, felt it’s surface with his palm. “How do we fight this thing?”
He was answered.
He saw the same soldier before, but more clearly this time- clad in shimmering armor that was made of the same crystal as this lion, but polished, more refined.
The soldier was holding the same lump of metal and rock as Tyl. But in the soldier’s hands, it changed shape into a large hand mirror with a beautiful handle. It was indestructible with a sharpened edge like a sword. It wasn’t a hand mirror, Tyl realized. It was a weapon.
When the vision ended, his star was no longer an earthen lump. It stretched into the shape of the same mirror that the soldier in his vision had been holding.
