“Dmitri..” he said wonder*usly. He was bewildered by the Woman in White- always had been. She was taller than most grown men, elegant and beautiful, and she seemed happy almost always. Her very stride suggested not only confidence, but power. She was like a fairytale made into reality.

“No,* she said. *Not Dmitri. A different name. To you… they will be new names. But in fact they are very old, and you have had them for a long time…”

Listening quietly, and stood when asked, moving his coat carefully as he listened to the lady speak, he thought of what she said, new names, old names...

He thought of that very carefully, he is a man wearing a black trench coat, white shirt, black pants, and brown boots, but there was something else. Although he wasn't alone, there were others with him, a boy and two others that looked like the same age as he was. Not fulling understanding what is going on but understanding at the same time.

He then thought again and again the words that the woman in white said he then said after clearing his throat speaking with a confident tone, "I am Kain."

(Sort I know but could not think of much more)
and nothing was spoiled :P

Mifili followed along, spinning his staff carelessly and with ease around his body, it was something he did whenever he wasn't sure on what to expect.

~Old names and new names? She's madder than I last remember her~ He thought as he quietly chuckled to himself as one of the others stoically said his name.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Mifili"

BIO FORMAT

STAR: Zibor
GENDER: Male
AGE: 17

APPEARANCE:
Zibor is a Caucasian male of average build, standing at around 6 foot and weighing in at around 78kgs. He is modestly slim and toned, built for “speed*. He possesses hazel-brown eyes and a self-proclaimed fear of the comb, often leaving his dirty blonde hair in an unruly mess.

In regards to clothing, Zibor prefers to wear a dark polo shirts under a white zip-up hoodie, while slipping on comfortable black trackies and black sports shoes.

PERSONALITY: Zibor upholds the traditional *I work better alone” attitude, never truly feeling comfortable while trusting his peers. Despite this, he is a highly competitive person and usually acts in an affable manor towards friends and acquaintances… just so long as you don’t provoke his oversized hero complex - or make a snide comment about Geoff (his stuffed Teddy Bear). Really, you don’* want to go there...

BACKGROUND:
Zibor was the oldest of his siblings – often crossing shoulders with his fraternal twin and adorable set of identical twin sisters. With his father always on business trips, Zibor often escaped the girly hoard in search of more… daring activities. He rarely took other people on his walks, and often hobbled home bloodied and beaten as a result.

An overachiever in every sense of the word, Zibor has an extremely infamous reputation amongst each of the sports clubs. Though extremely skilled, he often forgone teamwork for personal bravado – often making or breaking a game.

VALUES: Dignity, Power and Singularity

A WEAPON: A black katana, with a blade roughly the length of Zibor’s arm. It has a rectangular crossguard and black stitching wrapped over the hilt * exposing four white diamonds extending down the side of the long grip.

MAGIC: Power of Repulsion

A PAST LIFE: A noble mercenary of justice; twice betrayed by king and country.

He stood beside the others, wondering how on earth he was allowed to be chosen by The Woman in White. He certainly wasn't all that special; hell, he was pretty much just a common thief! Yet, here he was, in the dew of early morning, next to these other men.

Had such a thing ever happened before? He had seen, just as well as everybody, the shooting star become many individual pieces. Here he was with three others, a young boy included, to claim those pieces. For so many people to be chosen at once; he was struggling to remember when the last time he heard about such a situation!

Of course, he had already sized up his 'companions'. Was companion the right word? They were all here for the same purpose, but he couldn't call them competition. Likewise, he didn't think they were going to help each other, so they weren't associates or comrades.

Anyway, he had scoped out his companions with the thoroughness a burglar scopes out a site: A small child, wonder-stuck at being brought here. The man with the trench coat, confidently finding his new name. The man absentmindedly twirling his staff; who either did not care about this whole situation, or cared more than he wanted to let on.

And of course, there was him, the man in the black shirt and hoodie, despite the gentle warmness of the early sun. Who was he now? The name of the common thief seemed so far behind him now. Now, there was a name that he felt had been hiding behind that one for ages:

"My name is...."

No, those weren't the right words. It wasn't a name, it was an identity. Kain had been right in his speaking; these names represented who they were now.

"I am Glenn."

((Westenev, your character looks really great, I’ll add you to the players’ list. The Woman in White has broght all of our character to the Meteor Field for a Wake. Since you’re bio was submitted only after the very first round of posting, I think it might be best if your character simply arrives to the Wake late. That would be a good way to jump in. Welcome aboard!))

((YMTD- Your weapon shouldn’t actually exist yet. I just put it on the bio in preparation. And keep in mind that the name of the star, is not the name your parents gave you. I wasn’t entirely sure how clear that is. It’s kind of not a traditional system- it’ll work though! : ) ))

The Woman in White looked over each man individually as the introduced themselves. She stopped on Glenn and gave him a warm smile and a nod, seeming to sense the purpose behind his hesitation.
“And you?” she asked the youngest boy who had called himself Dmit*i at first. “Do you know who you are?”

He looked out again at the waving field of pinkish grass and thought he caught something sparkling there.
*Tyl?” he said.

“Yes,” she said with the same tone that a teacher might have when hearing a student answer a question correctly. “If you’d all come along with me,” she said as she stepped from the hill into the tall grass of the field.
She began to walk.
“Let me tell you a story,” she said. “It’s about a girl,” she reached down and plucked something out of the grass. “And a boy,” she took a few more long strides before pulling something else from the ground. “And they ran away together… not really entirely sure of where they were going, or of the consequences that would follow. What they found, was a beautiful, empty canvas of a place that they believed they could make their own. That’s where we are now,* she said.
The Woman in White walked with such speed and grace that she almost seemed to glide over the earth. She stopped to feel the ground beneath the grass with her hands, and she produced a third object.

“Many people from their home were jealous of them for having found this place, and they wanted to steal it from them. And so there was a fight. And many of those people died. But death is actually quite a temporary thing,” she explained. “Have you ever heard another definition of a ‘wake’?” she asked no one in particular as she walked on further.

Dmitiri, already preferring the name “Tyl” for all the mystery and mysticism it carried, followed after her.

“A wake is a vigil,” she said simply. “For someone who has died. It’s a bit like a funeral I suppose. You honor someone you have lost. But a wake,” the Woman in White added as she reached into the grass one last time. “Can also mean to awaken… to make a realization. To begin a new part of something…” she examined her hands and the four objects she had picked up in the grass.

Tyl craned his neck to look. They were small stones of metal and rock, each different in size and shape- each one unique. Like a person.

She began to extend her hands to offer the stones to the group of boys, but she seemed to notice something out of the corner of her eye. *Wait,” she said as she walked to it, and took a fifth metal stone from the ground there. “There should be one more here,” she said. *There should be five of you.”

((I'll let that be your cue, Westenev))
((Everyone else should also feel free to post too though, if they'd like to))

"More riddles? Can't we get to the point" Kain asked annoyed, he didn't understand fully what is going on, the riddles weren't helping him understand any easier then before.

Kain heard they were expecting a fifth person he thought, ~Cant we get this over with then just tell the other person what he missed..."~

Kain couldn't think of what his name was before Kain, or remember what he was called before coming in the building to meet the women in white, he just felt like he should be called Kain. For some unknown reason to himself he just felt like that is who he is and who he should be.
and nothing was spoiled :P

As if on cue, a teen appeared over the lip of the path. Casting a wary gaze upwards, the teens eyes fixed first upon the group, then to the Lady in White. Hurrying his pace, he quickly gapped the last couple of dozen metres – Making it just in time to hear the last few snippets of the groups ongoing conversation.

“That last one didn't sound like a riddle.”
He panted, laughing nervously as he joined the group. Directing an apologetic look at the Woman in white, he continued,
“Sorry I’m late… I had a few loose ends to take care of.”
