*One last thing,” the Woman said quickly before Tyl could run too far into the meteor field. “The same people who barricaded me from the Valley placed forces there, long ago, that bring life to matter and animate monsters. Many of them have been destroyed by the Stars that have traveled there for me after their Wakes. Atria, I sense, has in fact destroyed one herself. Should you encounter opposition,” she warned. “Be not afraid. You’re stronger than you know, and your star will show you how to protect yourself.”

Tyl swallowed a lump that had suddenly formed in his throat. There were monsters? It sounded dangerous, and yet he thought he felt a warmth coming from the small star that the Woman in White had given him.
‘you have been through this before’ he remembered.

“Right,” he said with the determination and strength of a boy his age who suddenly felt purposeful. “We won’t let you down.” He turned to look at the others, already stepping further into the field of soft pink grass.

Staring after Tyl, Zibor could only shake his head slowly. It was a lot to take in, sure - but from where he stood, it was simply a wild goose chase through a valley through of carnivorous monsters. Hiding a small grin, he took a few paces forward, truly admiring the boy’s spirit.

As he passed the Woman in White, Zibor gave her a cursory stare. As she passed from his field of vision, he wore a look of deep concentration as he walked. Suddenly jolting to a stop, he sighed, before expressing his trouble.

*One last thing before I go.” Zibor said darkly over his shoulder, “This girl, Atria. Did she enter alone?”

Kain still didn't understand what was fully going on but he wasn't too concerned about it either. If the riddles were done and they could go, he would be fine with it. The memories he got from touching his star, didn't surprise him as much as he thought they should.

Kain sighed and said, "Alright lead the way Tyl." Kain was just going to follow even though he didn't full grasp what is going on rather then to ask questions he was just going to accept what the situation is when he gets to it.

((I suppose if no one is posting, I will))

“I’m already leading!” cried Tyl with the excitement of a child his age.
He was already racing through the pale pink grass of the field, jumping slightly from time to time to keep the grass from tangling around his feet.

The Woman in White looked at Zibor with her usual warm and genuine smile. “She did,” explained the Woman. “Most Wakes involve only one star. It is an intimate thing, you see, to be connected to all of the past lives of a Star. Your Wake is different, but just as special. But yes… Atria is alone in the Valley. For now. But I imagine she already suspects your arrival.”

Tyl laughed as he glanced behind him. To him, this was a race, and the other boys were behind.
As he turned back to look ahead, he suddenly had another vision:
A meteor, screaming through space, rocketing towards Earth with a brilliant tail of red and white behind it, roaring like a monster. It wasn’t like the stars that fell so often, beautiful and twinkling. It was dangerous, and Tyl immediately became filled with fear.
He was somehow certain that the others in his company had had the same vision as he did.
He did*’t stop running, and he thought he could hear a voice in his head assure him that everything was fine. “It will be,” he corrected the voice- not yet entirely certain of where his words had come from.

It was strange, these thoughts and voices- they came to Tyl like thoughts that he was not meant to entirely understand, but was so close to figuring out anyways. It seemed almost as though his mind was just beginning to grab onto them, before they slipped away from his grasp.

The Woman in White looked at Zibor, her smile gone for only a fleeting second as if she too had seen the vision of the terrible meteor. “Go,” she told him, smiling again. *There’s work to do.”

" Such a bother. "
Zibor sighed, supressing a grin. Quickly making his way towards Tyl, he yelled,
" Hey, not so fast, brat! "

((Yeah, why don’t we speed this up, if there are no objections))

It took about an hour to travel all the way across the meteor field, and the Valley quickly came into view.
Tall blue gray rock formations broke from the surface of the earth and formed sharp steep walls of rock through which narrow passages were carved by crystal clear rivers.
The pink grass gaveway to a much shorter carpet of pale green grass- the same color as the hanging mosses and ivy that decorated the walls of the “Valley.”

Tyl, offended, has sneered at Zibor and spent the rest of the walk talking about his assessment of the Stars and the Woman in White.

“Those visions are from our stars,” he said, looking at the metallic rock in his hands, certain that the others had had them too, or at least ones similar. “But I don’t think they’re visions, I think they’re like… communication,” he suggested. *Like if I get a vision, then it’s a previous Tyl trying to communicate with me,” he said. “And anyone who’s held this star is Tyl,” he said, trying to sort through things in his head. “That means I** connected to everyone who*s ever had this thing, and they can tell me things! And… and if we all have the same vision…”
He remembered the meteor.
“Then that’s… I don’t know what that is… Oh! We’re here!”

He looked around them, and took in the Crystal Valley- aptly named for the numerous crystals, in vivid bright colors, that seemed to sprout from any available area like plants. Some grew from the river that they now followed, others grew from the very surface of the rock walls.
In the distance, there was a tall but narrow waterfall supplying the river with its source. Many crystals, in all colors, grew around it**

"Well...What now?” he asked the others.

Before anyone could respond, there game a sharp animalistic roar from over the waterfall. A creature that abstracted shape of a lion, but made entirely out of the same crystalline material that grew through out the valley, stood over the waterfall. It’s eyes were featureless light that looked down on the travelers with a piercing glare.
It roared again, something that sounded both like a lion and a machine, and jumped down on them.

Kain had followed, not knowing why he was following, nothing was fully explained or at least in a way he would understand. Not going to argue over what is going on he followed.

Kain heard Tyl talk about the star he was given, he thought about the star handed to him. Kain, was the name of the star, and his new name, or old name depending how he looked at it. It is and was what he is.

His thoughts stopped the moment he heard the roar he looked and saw the lion, gripping the stone his feet acted. He jumped back grabbing a stone from the ground as he jumped away from the crystal lion. Kain grabbed stone from the ground and planned to use it as for some sort of defense. Not knowing why he grabbed a stone he did it he wasn't going to become a lion's diner if he could help it.
