Wow! I wondered if my piece would be too ... er... Yrolgesque for everyone, but I'm terribly humbled to find out that it was well-received.
As always, thank you to the judges. I've done a fair bit of judging in the past, so I know the responsibilities are challenging and taxing. I might be biased, but I think you all did a good job getting things wrapped up smoothly.
And thank you to Cozmic for setting up the competition in the first place.
I'll find a thread to be stickies in the coming day.
Congrats, Yrolg and Chuk!
Thanks, everyone, for truly unique stories. The varying topics made judging them very hard, and I wish I could have given a "5" to everyone (but that's not how the contest works
).
No matter where you placed, you all deserve a solid pat on the back!

Congrats, Yrolg. Your piece was certainly well-written.
And well done to everyone else. It looks like it was quite the tight race for second, which I'm not too sure I deserved. Good writing from everyone.
darn, I hadn't even known there was a contest going on or I'd have slapped something together for it XD
edit: congratz to Yrolg and iChuck for coming in first and secound, you both did an amazing job

I've chosen to sticky Quick find code: 49-50-87-61557610, "Lord Robert Callobridge". It most closely resembles the style of the winning piece, so I think it's only right that the thread see its day in the sun.
