Finally my break came and I got to enter the break room aka guard station. There were a atleast 120 people in there with me. it was a big room. It had everything in there! A bar and... well that's it, BUT A BAR IS EVERYTHING!!! I sat down and ordered a beer, and got one. I reached to my pocket when I remember I was wearing armor, and didn't have any. I looked at the bartender with a frown. "Beer is on the house. no need for money." He said like it's a common fact and I was stupid. That's all I needed to hear. I love this place! On my 5th beer, I turned to the wall and saw a flyer. Very drunk, the colors on the flyer arroused me and I went over to take a look. This is what it said:
Vryewolf ball!
yes, hosted by the generous overlord, bob himself!
All the inhabitants of the fortress have access to come!
(excluding any guard under honor guard and prisnors. duh)
A meal fit for a king will be served as a banquet! come and enjoy the fine food, dancing, entertainment, and more!
The ball will start in 5 days, and will last from noon til sunset! Please come and enjoy yourself!
p.s. as a random fact, the fortress will be virutasly unprotected by anything expect from a few guards! Lets all just hope that no one uses that to their advantage!
End flyer.
"This is just what I've been looking for!" I said myself. I picked it off the wall and blew my nose into it. "Man I was holding that in for a while." I said to myself and through the flyer in the trash can. I began walking away back to my seat when something clicked. Not out loud, but in my head. "Wait a moment... I can do this... I know it's something to do with that flyer..." and as I stood there thinking, a horn sounded to signal for us to get back to work. I went up to the bartender and said "hey barkeep. Hand me another one of those flyers, would ya?" I asked. He gave me one.

After the rest of the day, Alex visited me in my room. He opened my door, walked in, and closed it behind him. He folded his arms across his chest and asked in a hush tone "What did you find?". I then gave him the flyer and filled him in on it's content. "This is incredible, this is the thing we've been looking for!" He said. My brain clicked again, and in a sudden burst of genous, I came up with a plan. "We can use this ball as a deversion! I don't even have to kill the head of the guards anymore! or gain bob's trust! this plan is better then that one! Guards will be scarce that day, so all we need to do is find the key to the war room. The chances of guards patroling that hallway at that certain time is pretty low! so we can sneak in, see what Bob's hiding, and sneak out before anyone noticing a thing!" I said, completly satified with myself.
Alex took a seat with his mouth wide open, obviously surprised I could come up with such a plan. "That's incredible! It is now our mission -no, our duty to get that key and find out what he's planning!" He said. I looked at him. "hehe, you said 'duty'." I giggled. Alex put his hands on his face and said "why do I even try?"
So now all we have to do is somehow obtain that key in the next 3 days from now. shouldn't be to hard... right?

DAY EIGHTYONE -The key-
Great! I came up with a plan that involves me doing more work! Good job nooby ol chap! *Sigh*... did I just sigh in a diary? forget it. Right now Alexflorea is doing some sneaky bussness to try to find who has that key. Bob wouldn't have it with him, he's to rich and powerfull to have to open doors for himself, Duh. My job is to find what ever I can about this ball that's going down. It's not going up, not on my watch.
I began my guard shift like any other day, taking my strolls down the candle-lit hallways, rarly meeting another guard in this giant fortress. I began to hear organ music in the backround, to build the suspense. I was about to turn a corner when I heard 2 people talking. I flattened myslef against the wall and listened intently. It was 2 of Bob's generals.
"I mean, what If he becomes more powerfull then even Bob can control? I mean there are risks that are even beyond him." Said the first man. "Bob knows what he's doing. He may be selfish, but he is very smart." The 2nd man said.
I couldn't hear the next few words, then I started to hear them again. "...dormant for 1000 years! what if he's more powerfully then Bob orginally thought?" The first man worried. "Enough of this. I grow tired of your cowardence. Follow Bob or get crushed in his path. Those are your two choices." The second man said and walked away. Unforchunatly, he "walked away" right into me. The man was startled and then in an insant, rage was on his face. "What are YOU doing here?" He asked. "Easedropping mostly." I said. "What was that?" He asked. "Uhhh... Hey look is that person waving at you or me?" I pointed. The man turned and I took off! before the man turned around I was around the corner.

I wonder what the two were talking about. Were they talking about Bob's secret weapon? Or were they talking about lunch last tuesday? I know one place I'll find out: The warroom.
Finally my shift ended and I was headed back to my room when alex came running up to me. "I found out who holds the key!" He said excitly. "Really? How'd you find out?" I asked. He looked nervous and said "well... I did some stuff that I'm not...particularly proud of - anyway! That's not the point, the point is I know where the key is!" He said. "Ok then, where is it!?" I said impatiently.
He looked strait at me and said "In the lair of dragons!"
Dun dun duuuuuun!
"For goodness sake, anywhere I go, there's either a pit, or a lair, or a cave! I'm getting sick of it! I'm guessing I'll have to face paril beyond any other man to I suppose?" I asked. "quite." He said. "No man has even gotten close to even thinking about entering the lair before they died, that's how dangerous it is! So we've already set a benchmark." Alex said smiling. I looked at him and said "well, I know if we work together, we can get that key!" I said heroically. "Me!? Heavens no! I'm not going! I could die in there!" He said, shocked that I would even think that. I sighed. "What will I have?" I asked. "A dragonfire sheild, and sword of mithril, this map of the caves, and all the luck in the world!" He said. "He patted me on the shoulder. "Good luck." And turned and left me to my thoughts.
Tomorrow's going to be quite a day...

DAY EIGHTYTWO -Obtaining the key-
One thing was going through my mind the entire time he told me I had to go into that cave, and it was tacos. No not the food, the base! remember? "The absent caretakers of scaperune"? Geez keep your mind in the game! I kept wondering how they were going to fit into all this. I mean, what do they plan to do? send an army? Or send their best wishes? I guess it all comes down in the end: whose going to kill Bob? I mean, what if we find out what Bob's planning? Will I let the other noob "take it from there"? As long as I get the glory, I'm cool with that. But now I have to clear my mind to get that key.
Alex began giving me usfull information. *yawn* "The only man that can pass through unharmed is the caretaker of the dragons. They trust him and won't attack him. Every meeting Bob sends the caretaker into the caves to obtain the key. And don't think about mugging the man for the key once he's outside the cave; Bob always sends 4 demon guards and a necromancer to guard him so no one can get that key. Luckily, there will be no more war meeting until the day after the ball, so that means they won't need the key, which also means they won't notice if it's missing." Finished Alex.
I was alseep by the time he said "the" but I acted like I knew what he said. "ya! right! sure! I'm on it!" I said with a start. Alex sighed and lead me outside. He handed me a mithril longsword and a dragon anti-fire sheild.
"I shall bring you to the entrance of the caves. From then on, you'll have to time it perfectly to get to the key unscathed. I doubt you'll be able to reach the key without a dragon seeing you, but I have faith in you. I mean you face dangerous stuff all the time, right?" he asked, patting me on the back. "Well, uh... I once beat a chicken. It was a nasty fight, but I prevailed in the end." I said proudly. Alex looked horrified, Obviously amazed that I killed a chicken.

"Here's your map, and there's the entrance...er...good luck..." He said, sounding doubtfull. I gulped and entered the cave. I went farther, and farther, and farther still. Until I finally couldn't see the entrance light anymore in back of me. I was in a maze fit for a dragon. The tunnel I was in very dimly lit by candle light. I kept walking with my sword at the ready.
As I walked further and further, Many other tunnels start showing up, until finally I had no clue where I was, until I remembered the map Alexflorea gave me. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the map. Conviently, it had a pointer that said "You are here". It also said the key was in a enormous cave to the north. Big enough for dragons to fly around in. I followed the map through the tunnels, hearing a few growls every now and then. But through all that, I finally reached the giant Tunnel. I stood at the entrance. Around the ground stood many torches in the ground, to illuminate the ground, but not by much. I looked up and saw only blackness. Who knows how many dragons were up there. 1? 2? 53!? 756 fire breathing dragons ready to tear me to shreds in a moments notice without any thought what so ever!?!?!?!?!
I proceeded inside the cave, making sure I don't step to loudly. click, clock, click, clock... curse these wooden shoes!
I finally saw what I came here for: A pedistal, which held the key on top! I ran up to it, pick the key up, and pocketed it. I smirked, whiped the dirt off my hands and said "Job well done." Proudly. I turned to find myself face to face with a giant firebreathing red dragon. It flashed it teeth and growled, and then gave a thunderous roar that woke the other dragons. Sudden the ceiling of darkness was moving with tens of dragons. some green, some red, some black, and I think I saw a yellow one, but that just might have been a red one with the light reflecting off it. Anyway, that's bsides the point. A dragon is staring me down.

So now I had tens of dragons staring me down, waiting for me to make a move. I know I had to do something witty, something daring, something the dragons won't expect. If I catch them off-guard, then I might have a chance!
A dragon finally got tired of waiting and reared up to bite me. Right before it was apon me I yelled "STOP!!!" And to my amazment, the dragon stopped. It got an impatient look in it's eye that said "ok say your last words, make it quick". "how DARE you attack the caretaker's assistant!" I yelled at the dragon, staring him down. The dragons got a questionable look in their eyes. One of the smaller dragons aprroached me and sniffed me, trying to pick up any scent of the caretaker. He reared back and growled, signiling to the others that I was lying.
They all started to advance when I said "I AM his assistant. You wouldn't dare harm his assistant. I mean, what Would bob do to the dragons he claimed responsible for killing the caretaker's assistant? I mean, he wouldn't be able to get in the war room without this key. How angry would you think that would make him. angry enough to... turn you into dragonhide armor?" I asked.
To my surprise the dragons stopped in their tracks, uncertain fear in their eyes. On one hand, they have an intruder that is stealing the key, but on the other hand, If I am who I say I am, then they'd be in alot of trouble. Finally, After to say "eh, he isn't worth it" They began flying back up to the ceiling of darkness. I walked to the entrance, looking as important as I can. Well, how important can you look for a guy whose wet himself.
At the entrance, I said to myself "Dragons are so stupid."
Unforchunatly, I forgot I have a disease that sometimes doesn't let me control the volume of my voice, and I screamed it at the dragons, startling some.
Sudden rage swarmed the cavern. "Uh oh" I said and began running through the catacombs. A huge dragon was on my tail.

Step after heart-racing step I ran through the tunnels like a madman, looking at the map every now and again to make sure I wasn't going the wrong way. The huge dragon was almost apon me, and I could finally see the exit of the tunnel in the distance. I kicked it into high gear and cannonballed out of the cave. "yes! I made it!" I said, under the false illusion that the dragon was restricted to the cave.
I tripeed and the dragon was upon me! "Scalio momentum!" I heard a cry. A bright light filled the area, enough to make me close my eyes. I heard the dragon utter a screech, and ran back into the cave. I looked up to see alexflorea holding a teacher's wand. I got up, mouth agape. "Pretty nifty, huh? The dragon repel spell." He smircked, pocketing his wand. "did you get the key?" He asked. I brought the key out of my pocket and smiled. "Right here." I said. "Excelent! Now we just wait til the day of the ball, and all Bob's plan's will be ours!" He said. "Yes, OURS! Buahahahahahahahaha!!!" I laughed evily. "Uh.. the good guys don't laugh evily. leave that to the super vilan professionals." Alexflorea said. "Right..." I said, feeling stupid.
Well, now that we have the key, we just have to wait for the ball to come, and we'll be able to see all bob's secrets.
we won't die of bordoom until then...right?

DAY EIGHTYTHREE -Everywhere is nowhere-
Yo*hi's log. stardate: 15/4.64. I don't know if we can make it... we are running low on supplies, and our ever-vigilant enemy is at our door step. I just don't know what we can do. It seems enevitable... so...hopeless...so...
"Yo*hi! stop messing around!" Yelled Amy. "Just write in the diary what is going on! Wait, what are you doing? Stop writing what I'm staying! STOP!" Amy snatches the diary from Yoshi and begins writing.
Sorry about that, Yoshi can be alittle imaginative sometimes. You are probably wondering how I got the Diary of the Noob. It's actually a interesting story, actually...
I was just waking up. The time? Who knows down here. Could be noon, could be midnight. The rule is when your tired, go to sleep. I like that rule. If everyone lived like that, life would be more fun. Of course, I guess stuff like schooling and jobs would get in the way, but still.
I got dressed and went walking through the halls. I was headed towards the war room, to help plan an attack, once we get the information that the noob has. Hopefully he has gathered some usful information that will give us some clue when to attack. I reached the room and entered it's small archway. The place was abuzz with activity. People walking with papers, few groups discussing who-knows-what at small tables, some stragigists at a chalk board arguing, and a few mages testing out some new spells. At the center of it all was a massive war table, fit for a king, The map of scaperune as it's table. Not just anymap, a 3-D map! Where there were hills or mountains, the map raised, where there was rivers, slow trickles of water moved about eagerly. Amazing, simply amazing.

Anti-Noob was at this table, quietly talking with his advisers, like anti-doodle and anti-Oreo. I cleared my throat to make my preasence known. "Ahem" I coughed. Anti-noob looked up, saw me, and smiled. "Ah, Amy! We have some good news! Alexflorea, our spy, has agreed with the noob to send his Diary here, for in it is a day-to-day recon report in which the noob went through. This could hold the information that we've been waiting for! Oh, and The Noob's only request is that you fill in today and tomorrow's agenda, so he can keep up on what's going here to." Said anti-Noob.
"That's cool, but how do you plan to get the diary here? I doubt anyone will retreive it on foot." I asked. "Ah, that's where our mages come in. They've created a super-powerfull version of the tele-grab! This one can bring us something from the other side of the map in mere minutes." He grinned. "Ok then, let's get started then." I grinned back.
The Anti-Noob looked sidewards and gave a nod to his wizards. The head wizard nodded back, and prepared the runes. Then he, and his circle of magicans, began to chant until this were all rapped in a blue-green neon color. Then suddenly, all the individual neon lights came together in the middle of the circle to form a pulsing ball or blue-green neon light. Then it suddenly shot foward through the solid wall. "Was that it? will the diary be here soon?" I asked. "See for yourself." The Anti-Noob said, pointing. A turned around again and saw the neon ball has returned already, in it, floating, was the diary.
I walked up and cautiously took the Diary from the Neon light. As I took the object, the Light faded into nothing.
So that's how I came to get the diary, and that's bascically the only thing that happened today. Tomorrow I will fill you in on what's been happening, along with what we're planning to do now that we have the info the Noob's been learning. Nighty-night diary!
