Chris opened his mouth to make a snark comment, and shut it again. He could feel an incomprehensible darkness wrap around him, warning him not to do something he would regret. While he was distracted with this, Mephos motioned to Alex, who, also feeling the unnatural darkness, walked over to the incubus.
Mephos struck his staff against the ground, and shadows surrounded both him and Alex, pulling them upward... to a floor above the one Alex had mistakenly thought of as the top floor.

Excellent as always, have to wait for the next add I suppose. Oh well. "There is no Good or Evil, no Light or Dark, Order or Chaos. Just knowledge and your own ability to know when to stop. And if you knew when to stop, you'd never achieve the impossible."

P.S. Appropriately, the "pro-wildy" side is acting properly Bandosian

Wow, you have no idea how angry that got me.
STOP MAKING GENERALIZATIONS.
I've argued with you over this today. Your attitude to the Pro-Free Trade/ Wilderness people is horrible. Respect the other side.

Good adds, and yes, I changed my name to Setkul.

I stand by what I said about the pro-wildy's side behavior on this matter (even though my comments were directed at the discussions going on at the time of the petition.) Here's why: the best argument I have heard for the pro-wilders is bringing back the wildy for nostalgia's sake. Not to downplay the worth of nostalgia, this is really the only commendable argument the pro-wildy side ever uses. And given that the wildy had a bad tendency of bringing out the worst in SOME (not all of course) people (insults flying, attacking unarmed skillers for the heck of it, backstabbing, luring, etc.) I think that argument is outweighed.
Another one that I have seen are "people are wimps now, because they haven't had to deal with (a list follows here, first item on the list is pking) "We need this because it will make people lose stuff and it will de-wimpify them" sounds like something straight out of Bandos' mouth (do "land of the goblins" if you don't believe me.) The last of the pro-wildy arguments is "I want to kill people whenever I feel like it." I assume that I don't need to explain why that sounds Bandosian?
But having said all that, as I mentioned in our "argument" (which wasn't so much of an argument as me poking fun at the pro-wilders who (as some predicted) complain that x and y content added since 2007 ruins the wildy, and you blowing up at this and thinking that I was going after all pro-wildy people.) Jagex has done enough that I don't think of the wildy coming back as a big deal, it'll just once again be the terror-filled cesspit it was before 2007.

This is no place for argument but only for story and comments of story. I hope to see an add soon.
However while on the topic, despite the fact that I haven't much touched the game since that point in time, I believe that free trade should be reinstated. Honestly I don't care about the wilderness but at the same time I think those who were stupid enough to suffer there in an "unfair" manner deserve it. Free trade seems important to me because of the fact that hey maybe you're feeling charitable or helping out a friend.
If someone gets scammed then they will have learned a lesson they will never forget. If someone is buying gold with real money then good for them, throw away money(perhaps jagex should try this they could do it much faster than any players heh). While I hate that some people could just get that kind of advantage it keeps the ingame economy flowing. I'm not supporting it, infact I hate gold for money trading but it is going to happen.
Like I was saying about the wilderness, if someone is stupid enough to be lured in or skilling there then I hope that they get killed and die again when they respawn out of principle. The only thing truly bad with the wilderness(other than it is another method for gold transfer when sold for real money) is that some people just become brainless pkers. I'm talking about the l33t speech types here. Those pkers who lure and such can't be dumb or it would never work.
I think games are getting to soft and user-friendly. Nothing for the hardcore gamer anymore. Now that I've said my piece I won't say anymore unless truly needed or Aqua argues with me(which means he is inviting debate in his thread, which he kind of did already...).
Anyway, I hope for an add soon. Can't wait for more, the last add made me stop everything else I was doing(about 4 things) and focus on the story it was quite captivating.

Lol, well Orcris, I'm fine with free trade, and see it as an entirely different issue than the wilderness. As I said, I don't care too much about the wildy at the moment, I just think that it brings back some attitude problems.
I do, however, take objection to luring and scamming. I'm not a big fan of those who take advantage of other people's trust.
Anyway, an add is coming up (it was written yesterday but, well, I'm moving tomorrow and have been distracted from actually uploading it. ^^; )

Shadows obscured Alex's vision for but a moment. When they vanished, he was in a magnificent place. The ceiling was domed, and such a dark blue that Alex originally mistook it for black. Small pinpricks of light hung in the air near this dark dome, giving the illusion of it being the night sky itself. Three alcoves were spaced out around the room, each emitting a soft light. And in the center of the room, seated upon a pedestal, was a single stone. The stone was only a little larger than a pebble, and most of its surface was black and smooth, as if it had been carefully polished. However, thin veins of glowing gold, could also be seen upon the stone.
“That's it?” gasped Alex, feeling power radiating from the stone.
“It is the Monolith,” said Mephos, “One of the three legendary items... artifacts made to honor the First God. I think it is necessary that you know the story before you try to claim it; that way you will know the mistake the Prantiqeth made...” Seeing that Alex had no objections, Mephos continued, “In times immemorable, mortals were little less than gods, immune to the ill affects of aging, and immune to death and disease, people “passed on” in those times, but it was nothing like the death of today, one would simply “ascend” at a certain time and place, growing in power and wisdom, and being able to traverse both the spirit world and mortal world at will.

In those times, the majestic Wyrms, the benevolent, but mischievous Fey, and the wise Kadmon lived together in a peace brought about by understanding and cooperation. Pleased with this, gods and spirits walked among mortals, bestowing favors and wisdom. All but forgotten was the second god, Akyros, lord of nothing, master of all. But, even forgotten, the Lord of Nothingness lurked in the crannies of both the world, and the hearts of mortals, biding his time, waiting. Slowly, patiently, the Lord of Nothingness whispered promises of power, urging ambitions, sowing dissent. Eventually one heeded the Lord of Nothingness' call...
The one who heard the voice of Akyros was the most powerful of the spirits in the land. So great was his power that it was said to rival even that of the primordial gods. But this was not the height of his ambition. Rather, this being sought a power that would usurp the highest of all the gods, the First God; He who had created the universe and all other gods.
This spirit believed with the power of nothingness which Akyros possessed, he could annihilate the First God, and take His place as supreme ruler of all creation. However, he was not foolish enough to believe he could do this on his own, so he went to the other races, one by one corrupting them with promises of the even greater prosperity that he claimed would be their's if the First God was vanquished. He didn't mention his intention to rule over them, of course. He instead talked of liberty from the decrees of any god or higher power, all the while planning to seize control when the First God had been defeated.

The other gods remained ignorant of this, all except the First God, who is said to have wept tears of blood on the day the rebel mortals planned to do away with him. He did not weep for himself, but rather for his beloved children, for he saw the hardships they would inflict on themselves in their attempted rebellion. Nevertheless, he did not interfere, for he did not want to over-ride the right of his children to choose their paths in life. Thus, the rebels gathered, and using the power of Akyros, tried to destroy the First God.
The attempt failed miserably, they might have as well tried to destroy a cliffside by throwing a pebble at it. Unfortunately, the attempt not only failed, it backfired. Akyros, now unleashed, was still unable to affect the First God, but he was able to affect the mortals who had called on his power, and the land in which they lived. He ravaged them in body and spirit. Not satisfied, he destroyed Yggdrasil, the tree of life which gave the lands of the ancients unending energy and prosperity. With the tree destroyed, Akyros moved to the rest of the world, causing its decay at an alarming rate.
Seeing this, the mortal races knew what they had done and called to the gods for aid. However, the gods, horrified that mortals would dare to attack the first and most powerful of their number had left the world.
That could've been the end of the world. The mortal races could have bitterly blamed the gods for their predicament, and called curses upon them even as Akyros devoured them and their world. But thankfully, the ordeal caused by their failed rebellion had made the mortals wiser, and knowing this was their fault, they sought to make reparations to the gods.
In perfect unity, the three races gathered and came up with a plan, each would make an item to slow the advance of Akyros, and offer the item as a gift to the First God.
