47 - An Invitation From Decaprio
Noobs are like a cold, they never go away.
-Old Elitist Saying
Eventually Sinusoidal and the others returned to the bench on which Mr. Happy had been sitting for the last few hours.
The light on the caverns ceiling was dimming, had been dimming for a while now, and gave the black lake a dull glow. All of Xanadu was bathed in the twilight of a synthesized evening broken here and there by a burst of light from the city’s major buildings.
Gizmo B Free:You're still here?
Mr. Happy woke from a shallow sleep, startled by the sudden voice.
(c)Mr. Happy:Huh?
Sinusoidal:The lake is nice to observe
Sinusoidal:Especially bearing the incandescent quality it has now
Sinusoidal gazed out at the waters, momentarily hypnotized by their glow then snapped his eyes back to Mr. Happy.
Sinusoidal:Sorry that took so long
Sinusoidal:But he was hard to locate
Sinusoidal indicated Wolf0122 who blushed slightly with embarrassment.
Wolf0122:We did a shoddy job of showing you Xanadu
Gizmo B Free:There's still light
Wolf0122:Yea, but most buildings are shut to the public by now
Sinusoidal:Why don’t we go to the mage guild then
Gizmo B Free:That sounds good
Gizmo B Free looked at Mr. Happy
Gizmo B Free:If you want to of course
Mr. Happy finally rose from the bench, his body sore from its long confinement to the bench’s strict shape.
(c)Mr. Happy:Might as well
Sinusoidal:K, cool
As they walked southeast across Xanadu's landscape, the nerds became increasingly excited. (c)Mr. Happy guessed they didn't get many new people to show the magic guild to. Or maybe it was because the nerds were beginning to talk about Base4. This seemed the main topic that all conversation revolved around as the gray building shaped like a wizards hat came into sight before them.
What had Base4 wanted with Mr. Happy, they wondered. (c)Mr. Happy replied that she had just been worried about his fainting and they seemed to accept this.
