Zezima jumped over the body and kept chasing Starwarfan0 down the corridors. Adrenaline seemed to make him limber again.
Zezima could hear sounds of activity all around them now, on the floor above them, echoing down corridors. Shouts of "elitists in the castle" wrent the air.
A party of perhaps twenty noobs rounded a bend down the corridor from them and Starwarfan0 immediately turned sharply into a perpendicular corridor.
Starwarfan0:Close to the castle gates.
Although Zezima wanted desperately to ask questions about what was happening, he of course had to remain silent as their feet slapped along beneath them. Then, suddenly, they were in the Varrock entry chamber, a voluminous room packed with noob bodies, many setting up camp. Bows were quickly drawn by the more alert noobs, and Zezima fell into a roll down the short flight of steps at the entrance to the chamber.
Arrows whirred through the air above him, one ripped through his white pants and as he regained his feet he immediately leaped upwards, his body finding its way between several arrows that hummed harmlessly past. Zezima equipped a dragon spear and skewered a noob as he landed.
Ahead he saw the forms of Voldemort and Starwarfan0, who had decided to sprint staight through the noobs with their protect from range prayer on. Both were already taking a bit of damage. Further ahead noobs were frantically attempting to close Varrock's front doors and lock the elitists in the castle.
Voldemort had regained his magic and as he ra**noobs around him were engulfed in ice or fire, dying in droves. Both he and Starwarfan0 made it out the gate as the noobs were just beginning to push the door shut.
Zezima wrenched his spear out of the noob and picked up his speed. Sprinting for the exit, he launched himself forward, twisting sideways to slide easily through the quickly closing gap between the doors.

His spear caught on the doors however and he was forced to drop it before landing easily on the other side of the doors. Twisting around he stuck his hand blindly between the doors, found the spear shaft and pulled it out before the gate closed with a heavy slam.
On instinct, he dropped backwards and rolled, twisting sideways as he did so and letting several arrows from the courtyard pass overhead to stick quivering in the castle gate. Before him stretched an army of noobs as large or larger than that which had attacked Zezima isle. Starwarfan0 and Voldemort were only visible as clouds of 0's and 1's as multitudinous arrows pelted them from every direction. They were already almost out of the castle grounds.
Zezima followed in their wake, having to twist past the occasional arrow. Most of the noobs were running after Voldemort and Starwarfan0, shouting incoherently and waving whatever weapons they possessed.
Exiting the castle grounds, Starwarfan0 turned right, his health falling dangerously low. Voldemort was eating frantically as he ran, his health inclined to drop more drastically because he was a mage. Dodging past a squarish building, Starwarfan0 made a desperate leap towards the Varrock sewer entrance, tore aside its iron lid and fell into the sewers. Noobs tried to swarm down into the sewer, but it was like attempting to pour a beachful of sand down a funnel at once. It didn't work.
Seeing the press of bodies, Voldemort ran past the sewer entrance and towards the eastern exit from Varrock. Many of the noobs were tired out by now, energy failing them and they stopped, shooting a few arrows or mage attacks after Voldemort. Zezima raced past them and shortly after he and Voldemort exited Varrock, the last of the noobs gave up the chase, retreating back towards the safety of Varrock's walls. Voldemort slowed to a jog, then a walk, panting deeply.
Voldemort:3% energy left.
Zezima signalled a lol.

The dark clouds above chose this time to drop their load of rain. Glistening raindrops soaked the robes of the two elitists as they walked on, running down their skin and feeling better than any rain that Zezima had experienced before. He tried to signal to Voldemort 'What happened back there?' but gave up when it was obvious Voldemort had no idea what he was trying to sign.
Voldemort:Lol, its fun to see you muted.
Zezima was getting tired of Voldemort humoring his inability to talk. After all, Voldemort had been tied up by a noob, Zezima should be the one laughing. If only he could laugh...
Zezima tried to signal 'Where are we going?' and Voldemort understood that one.
Voldemort:Lumbridge.
Voldemort:I hope it's still held by elitists.
Zezima's thoughts only touched on his elitists as they trudged on through the rain, however. Mostly he thought about Texan85.

46 – A Druidic Ritual

"Cheezit92...what to say about him... I'm not sure, he's like a noob but a weird one."
- From the Journals of the Great Scribe, Tompayne2

An ethereal chant resonated from from the twelve hooded figures that encircled a cauldron, ebbing in pitch and timbre as the days last light drew crayon lines of red and gold across the sky. About this circle of men rose yet another circle, this one made of stone. As light waned, the weighty slabs of limestone that made up the second circle striped the gathering with sinister shadows that stretched slowly eastwards.
The cauldron in the center bubbled and spat but the cloaked figures paid it no heed. For the moment they were oblivious to the workings of life about them, to the play of the shadows upon them, and to the gigantic noob army that had just come down out of White Wolf Mountain and was watching them with interest. Or at least as much interest as an army that had been marching throughout the day could have.
Because Discollama2 had been able to acquire a map of White Wolf Mountain from a noob in Ardougne, the return journey had not been half so bad as the initial trip across the mountain's icy slopes. Nevertheless, the army was tired and a long march still lay between them and Lumbridge.
Not a Noob45:What is it?
Discollama2:It's a gathering of druids
Cheezit92:Is this their land?
Discollama2:Yes
Discollama2:It's called Taverly I think
Cheezit92:Are you a druid?
Discollama2:?
Cheezit92:Are you a druid?
Discollama2:No...
Cheezit92:***
Discollama2:?
Cheezit92:If you were one that would be cool.
Discollama2 :O k...
Cheezit92 looked once more at the cauldron, the flames spreading around its base, the hooded figures lost in a trance, beginning to sway with their chanting. Cheezit92 felt an urge to sway along with them and get caught up in that solemn melody.
Cheezit92:Let's set up camp
Discollama2:Here?
Cheezit92:We can watch these guys for a bit

Cheezit92 :( C)They're quite entertaining
Discollama2:I don't think we should
Discollama2 glanced around nervously.
Cheezit92:Y?
Discollama2:This is druid territory
Cheezit92:So?
Discollama2:And we don't have their permission to stay on it
Cheezit92:Well there's 20 thousand of us and 12 of them
Cheezit92 :( C)I think we have permission
Not a Noob45:Llama's right
Not a Noob45:The gods will be angry if we just camp here
Cheezit92:Well...there's 20 thousand of us...
Cheezit92:And how many gods are there?
Not a Noob45:Alot
Discollama2:And Zamorak alone could wipe out our feeble army
Cheezit92:And your point is...
Discollama2:We should ask permission
Cheezit92:Well, I see that point
Cheezit92:But what's your argument?
Discollama2:Nvm
Cheezit92:Fine fine, we'll ask permission
Cheezit92:If you insist
Cheezit92:I'll send you to do it
Discollama2:Y me?
Cheezit92:Because ur a druid
Discollama2:I'm not a druid
Cheezit92:But you said you were
Discollama2:No I didn't
Cheezit92:Whatever u say
Discollama2:Anyway, I think you should go
Discollama2:Being the leader of the army
Cheezit92:Actually I shouldn't
Cheezit92:Because...
...What? There was no reason he shouldn't be the one to go. He kind of wanted to go, actually. The deep rhythm seemed to vibrate throughout his body, draw him towards its nexus, towards the druid circle. It reminded Cheezit92 of ancient times, of dusty keeps, of the singing lessons of his childhood.
Cheezit92 :O well, I guess I'll go
Getting up was easy, letting himself be drawn towards the music even easier. It was like a magnet pulling him inwards.
Discollama2 :( C)Shouldn't you wait until the ritual is over?
But Cheezit92 didn't hear him, couldn't hear him. The chanting filled his senses, overran them, became a part of him. Before he knew it he was standing before one of the gargantuan stone slabs which loomed preponderously above him. Then he had stepped into the circle.

He didn't know what he had expected - that the chanting would stop? That the druids would turn on him angrily? - but he was somewhat disappointed when the incantation continued unabated, the sounds flowing on into the night. He took another step towards the white-robed figures in the middle and this time they did react. The two immediately before him parted, making space for him to enter their circle. The others looked up at him and smiled briefly before turning their attentions back to the cauldron in the middle. Their chanting never stopped.
Then, as the last rays of sun were killed by the horizon, a druid stepped forward into the circle. His hood masked his face in shadows. He walked out towards the cauldron and stood in front of it for a few seconds before beginning to chant in a sonorous voice, his words accompanying the rhythm around him perfectly.
Druid:The sacred hour comes again,
Druid:The testers entered our domain,
Druid:Now to the gods we must implore,
Druid:Assist us in our druid lore.
He retreated again, becoming just another of the circle of druids, indistinct. They hummed and chanted for a while, their bodies flickering with the fire in the center, then another stepped forward. Like the first, his face was concealed in the cave of his hood. Cheezit92 suddenly felt dirty dressed in his rusting steel armor amongst all of these pure white figures.
The druid removed a mortar from in his robes and began to chant in a tone similar to the last druids
Druid :P estle full of soda ash,
Druid:Taken from our secret stash.
He tipped the mortar and what looked like white sand flowed out of it into the cauldron. Cheezit92 chanted along with the rest as this second druid retreated again, slipping the pestle back into his robes.
Another druid stepped forward, again a pestle appeared in his hands.
Druid :( C)Crush a leaf of Lantadyme,
Fluidly, his hands used a pestle to grind something in the mortar.
Druid:Add this line to make it rhyme.

Upending the pestle caused a dark green mass to plop into the cauldron. He retreated.
Suddenly, Cheezit92 remembered why he had come. Looking behind him, he saw the eyes of many of the members of his army watching, reflecting the light of the fire that heated the cauldron. He swallowed deeply and stepped forward as yet another druid left the ring.
The druid paid no attention to him though; instead he proceeded to pull a handful of red spherical objects and a vial of filmy white fluid out of a pocket in his robes.
Druid:Spiders eggs and giants spit,
He dropped the eggs in and then carefully poured the vial out, Cheezit92 saw the potion inside the cauldron turn a light shade of green.
Druid:Stir the potion round a bit.
The druid picked up a ladle that had been lying beside the cauldron, obscured by the darkness, and stirred clockwise three times. Cheezit92 cleared his throat and chanted in the same tone and rhythm that each of the druids had used
Cheezit92:Hi my name it is Cheezit.
But the druid appeared not to notice, and rejoined the circle. Another stepped forth, producing another vile with white liquid inside.
Druid :P our in goats milk from a flask,
Cheezit92 decided to try again.
Cheezit92 :( C)There is something I must ask.
No response. The druid kept on chanting.
Druid:And now to complete the task.
Cheezit92 sang out in an exasperated chant.
Cheezit92:Guys, I have something to ask!
Again the druid ignored him and he disappeared back into the circle as another came forward to take his place.
Druid:Add the cockatrices bile,
The potion turned a deep orange.
Cheezit92:We have marched more than a mile,
Druid:Gather potion in a vial,
He produced a vial and dipped it into the brazen potion, filling it before retreating back into the ring. Cheezit92 could feel all of their eyes on him, alone in the center.
Cheezit92:Can my army stay a while?
-he sang weakly.

Suddenly, all the druids around him chanted out -
Druids:Can his army stay a while?
And then lapsed back into a quiet wordless chanting. That was odd. Cheezit92 was about to ask again when one of the druids in the circle suddenly intoned
Druid:That on one factor depends,
Druid:To which army your strength bends,
Druid:Whose side are you fighting for,
Druid:In this god-forsaken war?
Cheezit92 was suddenly tense. Several question raced through his mind - couldnt they see he was a noob? Which side did they want him to say? Did these druids follow the elitists? but he decided to be truthful and suffer any consequences that resulted from it. He chanted -
Cheezit92:I am fighting for my side,
Cheezit92:And now that I have replied,
Cheezit92:Can we in your town reside?
For a while, the resonant chanting hummed around him, then the same druid spoke out once more
Druid:So its for the noobs you fight?
Druid :O kay, then its quite alright,
Druid:You can stay here for one night.
Without any warning the chanting stopped and filled the night with a sudden silence that made the crackling of the fire sound like gunshots.
Druid:But there is one condition.
Cheezit92, who had just begun to relax, immediately became on edge once more.
Cheezit92:What?
Druid:You must taste this potion.
The druid suddenly produced the vial, its center glowing with the brazen orange fluid that had only a short time ago been scooped from the cauldron.
Cheezit92:What is it?
Druid:We dont know, thats why we need you to try it.
Cheezit92:Lol?
Druid:Lol?
Cheezit92:?
Druid:?
Cheezit92:What the heck, Ill try it.
Anyway, the druids wouldnt want to hurt him. Not with his whole army around them. The white-robed figure held out the vial and Cheezit92 grasped it, spent a few seconds figuring out how to open it, and then took a swallow.

His mouth filled immediately with the zesty taste of cockatrice bile, the fruity burst of spiders eggs and the spicy blast of all the other ingredients. It seemed his mouth was filled with fire. He swallowed and took another swig, draining the flask and causing his eyes to water.
Druid:What do you feel.
**eezit92:Good
The druid conversed quickly with the others, who had gathered around to witness Cheezit92 drinking the potion. Finally he turned towards Cheezit92 again.
Druid:What did it do to you?
Cheezit92:?
Druid :D id it raise any of your stats?
Cheezit92:Just a sec, Ill check.
Druid :O k
Cheezit92 was silent for a short time, then-
Cheezit92:Firemaking up 3, strength down 2.
A cheer suddenly went up from the druids, and as this subsided they broke into excited muttering about this new firemaking potion. The druid who had been talking to Cheezit92 removed his hood, his blue eyes studying Cheezit92 from above a gnarled nose. His hair was white and frizzy, sticking out from his head as though it had trouble obeying the laws of gravity.
Druid:Finally, something to celebrate!
Cheezit92:So we can stay?
Druid :( C)Certainly, tonight will be a night of feasts in Taverly.
Cheezit92:Sweet
Druid:So youre going to join Ratherdashngs army?
Cheezit92:?
(C)That name seemed to tug at something in Cheezit92s memory.
Druid:The noob army.
Cheezit92:We are the noob army
Druid:No
Druid:Youre a noob army certainly
Druid:But the real one is east of here
Cheezit92:What do you mean?
Druid:Ratherdashng came through here a few days ago with his host
Druid:He was heading to Lumbridge.
Suddenly the name Ratherdashng connected to something in Cheezit92s mind and he remembered who he was, remembered the second in command that had become lost in White Wolf Mountain on his way to Ardougne, the man who had helped him out of his locked chamber in Lumbridge.
Cheezit92:Ratherdashng is alive?!
Druid:You know him?

Cheezit92:Yea, he's my second in command!
He quickly corrected himself as he thought of Discollama2.
Cheezit92:Was my second in command
Druid:Really?
Cheezit92:Yea
Druid:He never said that when he came through
Druid:And he looked like he wouldnt take orders from anyone
Cheezit92:So hes in Lumbridge?
Druid:Yea
Cheezit92:Im heading there tomorrow
Druid :O k, we should get back to Taverly anyway.
Cheezit92 :( C)This isnt Taverly?
Druid:Nope, Taverly is south of here.
He gestured vaguely southwards with one hand.
Cheezit92 :O , so we could have camped here
Cheezit92:Without ur permission?
Druid:I dont see why not.
Druid:All of our land is open to travelers
Cheezit92 :O
Druid:I gtg now, inform the others
Druid:By the way, you were the best tester yet.
Cheezit92:A tester?
Druid:Yea, a tester comes in at the start of each ritual
Druid:The gods give him to us
Druid:You were the first one to sing tho.
Cheezit92:Uhhh
Cheezit92 searched for words, but still hadnt found any by the time the druid had disappeared into the surrounding darkness. Most of the others had also dissipated, diffusing southwards. Suddenly Discollama2 appeared at the edge of the flickering light. He walked down to stand before Cheezit92.
Discollama2:We can stay here?
Cheezit92:Yea
Cheezit92:I guess well camp at Taverly, south of here
He glared accusingly at Discollama2, but Discollama2 didn't seem to notice. Cheezit92 wondered if he should mention Ratherdashng but decided not to. Things would come in their due time.
Discollama2:Great, Ill tell the army
Discollama2:Nice singing by the way
He hurried off again, leaving Cheezit92 alone besides the slowly dying firelight. After a minute or two of mulling things over, Cheezit92 finally stepped out of the Druids Circle and into the night's darkness.
