Amazing Aqua, simply astounishing the amount of detail you went through to create such a rich and variated race. You know I'm a sucker for mythological culture and as such reading such creation, your notes and imagining this race actually existing, makes it all the more exciting.
It's such an extraordinary race, even though it's role within the story is still vague for now as this as served as a mere prelude and simple introduction to a few of their habits and costumes, thus the need to explain, which I very much appreciate, and at the risk of sounding like a groupie, it's awe inspiring. I can write, I can imagine, heck, I can create, but never anything into the lengths you have managed.
I have a few questions about the Prantiqeth, some of them about their origins and deep costumes, but I'm afraid you won't answer them so that you can reveal them along the story. Anyways, I'll ask two that I find most pertinent.
1. What's the origin of the name (latin?), but in the context of the race. Is it a title adopted by them after attaining enlightment or is it the 'true' name of their race in your context? You said they were once part of a human tribe, thus my question, and I honestly doubt it's their 'true' name as it would give to those who know them power over the entire race.
2. As for second, are they xenophobes? Or at least do they feel the same way mere mortals do? Displays of racism and such are bound to morals of people that can die whenever they least expect, thus excluding Prantiqeth of this tier, but can they? I'm asking this because Lior desplayed quite a sense of superiority towards unenlightned, at least to me, with that little abbreviation and his expression at his Blood Brother's attitude.
And, hum, that's about it, hope you get back soon and hope your exam went well Aqua. Best works!
