Akak: Yes, you are allowed to submit bios, in fact I invited you to do so right before the last add (I'm guessing you missed it.)

To be honest, I forget Daefon's bio... if you want you could resubmit it. Also, Akak, if you want to submit a bio, feel free to.

Well, an add is coming, and after that, a really long explanation about the add. Then... I'll either go to the class that I have in 3 hours, and have an exam in on Tuesday (for which I am not prepared) OR I will go to sleep so I am rested for the exam I have in 8 hours. Ah, choice of evils.

**********

Now in answer to Age's questions:

1) The Prantiqeth are not all good, there have been incidents when single members or even whole communities have performed evil deeds. Lior's blood brother alludes to these incidents when reminding Lior that the council would forbid direct intervention due to what happened at "Atlantis, Muu, Ys, and Vineta" (three legendary cities that according to Prantiqeth lore were destroyed by "divine wrath" due to the things that the inhabiting Prantiqeth did. {Whether "divine wrath" literally means a god got involved or is meant to mean that other Prantiqeth "acting on behalf of the gods" destroyed these cities is open to debate.})

In addition, while they would not necessarily be called "counter-parts" to the Prantiqeth, there are a number of enlightened races, some of which believe that they should rule over the much weaker peri, as masters of the universe.

2) Prantiqeth do not become demons; although more powerful than most mortals, still either become Holies, Bounded, or Viles after death (I will explain these terms further if someone want me to.) As mentioned before demons are immortal, and have never experienced life as mortals. (Incidentally, one set of writings said to be made by a demon that Brona Rhyn has refers to the experience of being mortal as "that abominable advantage of the Enemy. What is meant by that is anyone's guess.

*Kicks sheepishly at a rock*

Yeah, sorry I really did miss it.

Let me think...this is my first BIO in I think a year and a half!

Name: Jun Skahn
Race: Human - A Skraeling
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Affiliation: the Spirits of the Land
Occupation: A Mercenary (healer/mage)

Primary Weapons: A poisoned morningstar and a flail.
Secondary Weapons: A garotte, mahogany crossbow and a dirk.
Clothes: Garb of the citizens of Miscellania
Armour: Padded leather armour with plaited leather belt and a Fremminik farseer helm. Also has high boots and bear fur cloak.
Spells: Darkness Spells, to blind, bind and to disorient the enemy.
Abilities: Can summon Undead and alter other's perception of her. She is a Farseer and a Necromancer. She can also sense the weather and touch the auras of those around her.

Appearance: Tall but strong, she wields heavy weapons with ease. She has dark hair and a broad figure although she is not strained with muscles. Her eyes are indigo, but although she is not pretty she has an inner beauty that she tries to cover up by acting rude.
Personality: Affectionate but calm and collected, her perception and attention can never be altered by others. She does not hate and is very understanding for one her age.
Miscellaneous: She can cook, nurture and heal well.

Brief History: Born on the island nation of Miscellania, Jun is a well-known and respected resident. At a young age, Jun had always wanted to play with the boys instead of staying home and cooking. At the age of twelve her father allowed her to spend one year inside the Skraeling barracks to discourage her from ever becoming a warrior. Instead, this opportunity allowed her to explore the crafts of the sword and bow.
Before the year finished, King Vargas named her an honourary Skraeling, a great honour, and she decided to explore the worlds beyond the seas.

(Brief History Continued)

She reached the Fremennik lands but was arrested by the guards there. To prove herself worthy of life she had to take the renowned Fremennik Trials. Her three tasks were to hunt down a demon stallion, to navigate the rocky trespasses of the Mountain Tribe and to appease Fossegrimen. She tended to this with ease and also managed to best Kos*hei the Deathless without being hit. She stayed for a few more weeks, until a spirit of the mountain warned her of impending doom of the world and told her to guard the artefact known as the Hand of the Earth God (Fist of Guthix)

She set out and became an expert on monsters and hunting, in particular the Undead as she found she could persuade or command them (with her soothsayer voice) to leave the premises of a haunted person. Jun is now a specialist, a mercenary, for healing and exorcising...until she finds the trail of her destiny...

Let's see how you work with that!

“Welcome!” exclaimed Scylla, “To Rhyn Brona’s tower, the Reverie!”

Jayson and Selene stared in shock at what they saw. From the outside the tower had not looked very impressive; just a lone stone tower made of grey stone with various sigla covering it. However, upon entering the tower, it seemed as if the two travelers had entered a new world. The tower’s interior was mostly dark and small lights which seemed like stars hung suspended in air, giving the impression that one was surrounded on all sides by the night sky. Meanwhile, the floor was covered by a faintly luminescent mist, preventing the travelers from seeing their feet.

“Please, come this way, and try not to wander off,” said Scylla, as she began walking through the darkness of the tower.

From the dim light given off by the *stars” Jayson could make out a large number of doors, all of which seemed to be locked. He turned back to Scylla and was about to ask about the doors when she commented, “This tower’s guests are behind those doors. However, I doubt they will come out any time soon.”

“Why is that?” asked Jayson, while having a gut feeling that he would prefer not to know.

Scylla paused for a moment, apparently considering whether or not to continue, finally, she said, “Sometimes, when a person is no longer able to handle his or her life; when living becomes a burden bereft of hope, that person comes here. Rhyn listens to them, and if he judges them truly without hope he offers them a room.

In one of those rooms, that person’s dreams and fantasies come to life. The person often becomes completely overwhelmed by the illusion before him or her, and forgets that it is just an illusion, forgets about their real life, and believes the illusion is real… I have been here a number of years and have seen many go in those rooms... I have never seen someone come out.”

“That’s terrible,” sighed Jayson, “People have to learn from their problems, not run away from them.”

“Maybe,” said Scylla, “But for those without hope, this tower and its strange rooms is often their last chance at happiness*

Anyway, here we are.”

So saying, Scylla opened a door different in design from all the others the travelers had passed, and led them into a well furnished room bearing comfortable chairs and sofas.

“Ah, just wait a moment,” said Scylla, “Gaudete! We have guests!”

“I was already aware,” someone said behind the group, causing Jayson and Selene to jump, with the latter instinctively grasping her naginata.

The two turned and found themselves facing an androgynous person wearing a white suit. This person’s hair was shoulder length and a mild green in color; it almost seemed to Jayson and Selene as if the hair shimmered in the light; as if it was strands of emerald.

“Allow me to introduce myself,” said the person, bowing deeply, “I am Gaudete Spes, the Head of Staff at this tower, it is a pleasure to meet both of you.” Gaudete stopped bowing and stared directly into Jayson's and Selene’s eyes, causing both to gasp in surprise; Gaudete’s eyes were not a single color, but seemed to shine with all the colors of the spectrum, reminding the Guthixian and the elf of the effect caused by light shining through a blue-white diamond. “Sir, madam, is something wrong?” asked Gaudete, noting the guests’ vacant expressions.

“N-no,* said Jayson, forcing himself to focus.

“Oh, that is a relief,” said Gaudete, breaking into a smile, “Well, may I ask what has brought you out here? Visitors to the tower are fairly rare.”

“I am looking for some Phantasmos Herb,” Jayson replied quickly.

“And I need to talk to Rhyn Brona,” explained Selene.

“I see,* commented Gaudete, “I will have one of the servants bring you Phantasmos Herb, Jayson of Taverly, I assume you will need a total of eight leaves for the Awakening Ritual?”

“Um, yes…” muttered Jayson, shocked that Gaudete knew what he needed the herb for.

“And Miss Selene, I’m afraid that Seth is meeting with Rhyn right now, you may have to wait, and I cannot guarantee Rhyn will see you even after Seth has left. Now, would the two of you like any refreshments while you wait? You must have been chilled by the weather outside.”

Selene and Jayson both nodded, and Gaudete left to see that the refreshments and Phantasmos Herb were delivered.

“Come to think of it,” Jayson mused, “We never introduce ourselves, so how did Gaudete know our names?”

“Gaudete is strange in that he seems to know pretty much everything about everyone who comes here,” commented Scylla, “He also does some pretty amazing things; running errands faster than even that demon butler Alathazdrar, for example. He’s also a truly capable fighter, if you two and Aion hadn’t killed off those Zarosians, he probably would have dealt with them on his own.”

“He certainly is interesting,” said Selene, “Looking at him, I got the sense he was very powerful… and older than even the oldest elf I have met…”

Selene went silent as two maids entered the room with containers of mulled wine and tea, which they proceeded to serve to the guests. A moment later, Gaudete re-entered the room, and handed Jayson a package.

“Here are the Phantasmos Herbs you need,” said Gaudete, “When you are ready to leave, please inform one of the servants, and they will escort you to the teleportal room, from which you should be able to get back to Taverly. However, should you wish to stay the night, and recover your strength, I can have a guest room prepared.”

“Thank you for your offer,” Jayson replied, “But I have already taken longer than expected, I must return as quickly as possible.”

“I understand sir,” said Gaudete. He motioned to one of the maids, “Please escort this gentleman to the portal room, and help him on his way.”

The maid nodded mutely and began leading Jayson into an adjacent hall. After the Guthixian had left, Selene turned to Gaudete and asked, “Do you know how much longer it will be before Rhyn can see me?”

“Unfortunately, that won’t be possible,” said Seth, walking through one of the nearby door, “Rhyn has fallen asleep...

Correct me if I’m wrong, Selene, but did*’t I ask you NOT to follow me?”

Selene remained silent; there was no reason to respond.

“Well, it turns out that this makes things easier,” sighed Seth, “Rhyn has determined the location of the next seal. Surprisingly it is in a temple in Tirannwn.” Noting Selene’s surprised expression, Seth asked, “Are you aware of the Aural Temple?”

Selene had heard of it, in whispers and rumors; according to some elves there was a beautiful temple made of crystal and marble hidden in the depths of the forest. Some of the elder elves had claimed that the temple was called the Aural Temple and had been built in honor to Aither, god of light.

“So the next seal is there?” asked Selene.

“Yes,” replied Seth, “We will be leaving immediately of course… Gaudete, could you please have someone escort us to the portal room?”

“Of course, sir,” replied Gaudete, motioning to the remaining maid.

The maid nodded, and began leading Seth and Selene through a series of hallways. Gaudete waited for a few minutes then sighed. “Sir,” he said, “you have no need to hide in the shadows right now.*

*No use trying to hide from you is it?” asked Rhyn Brona, stepping into the room.

“Seth’s getting better at lying,” said Gaudete, ignoring the question, “I wonder if that’s a good thing?”

“Heh, he’s good enough,” commented Scylla, “Selene honestly believes you’re a cambion, and Sliske is none the wiser. You should be able to move around easier now.*

“Well, that isn’t completely a lie,” Rhyn pointed out, “There is demon blood in my veins after all. Anyway, I think we should send those two some help. As powerful as they are, Seth and Selene might have some trouble at the Aural Temple.”

“Should I go?” asked Scylla.

Rhyn gave her an inquisitive look. “To the Aural Temple? The Cult of Light’s home base? What do you think they would do if a Mazoku dropped in?”

“You’re right,” sighed Scylla, “So then, who?”

“Gaudete, try to get this person,” said Rhyn, tossing Gaudete a card. Scylla took a single look at the card and broke into a smile.

“Isn’t this a little too easy for that person?” asked Scylla.

“Maybe, but I’m tired of being bugged for not giving another “fun” mission,” replied Rhyn.

“I’ll send the request, sir,” said Gaudete. Under his breath he added, “Let’s just hope that the collateral damage can be kept to a minimum this time.”
