After a moment of silence that Daevarro delivered, the knights in charge of his binding got fed up. The Loyal Knight who held Daevarro's head down then pulled his head up, his glowing eyes shooting knives at him. Daevarro traded blows with him, throwing knives colliding. "Talk, half-breed," the knight demanded in a growl. "our queen speaks to you!"
"Daevarro," the queen once more called, her voice sincere. "Look... I'm willing to offer you a better opportunity, a better life. You don't have to suffer anymore, you've done too much of that already. You can escape from the fighting, from this pain, from all of this. You can live a life of freedom and happiness, where sorrow and anger are just things of the past. I don't want to have to kill you, because... it would be such a waste. So, please, accept my offer. Please come back with us, come back to Governanti."
Balor gave Daevarro quite the serious look, keeping his arms crossed. "Take the deal," Balor honestly advised.
Raphael turned to his only comrade left, the young man enshrouded in darkness. "Daevarro," Raphael then spoke. "get out of this place and live. Take it!"
Daevarro's hateful eyes darted at Lucia, his face forced to look up at the ceiling. The queen waited patiently for Daevarro's response, hoping that perhaps he was considering it. "I'd rather die than stand beside you monsters!" the dark-robed young man then growled with malice and anger.
Lucia let out a heavy breath after this, saddened by the young man's choice. "Then die you shall," she confirmed to him.
Lucia's ears heard Balor sigh heavily behind her, who seemed somewhat dissatisfied by Daevarro's answer to his sister. "How utterly disappointing," the king then responded to Daevarro's return. "I suppose when crossing a desert, some fools take wine instead of water."
The end
is only
the beginning...
