The entire crowd collectively despised the actions of the sinful, wicked humans. Each one of those immoral beasts rose, preparing their defense. Raphael stepped into the center of the square, taking a bold, unfaltering stance. An intrepid act, standing courageously before the crowd who wished only the most gruesome death upon him.

His purple eyes calmly, bravely looked to each Solasúian one-by-one. He even saw as little children hid behind cracks in the doors, scared of the brutal murderers of those that they knew and loved. "For far too long, humans have been condemned to slavery," Raphael spoke out to the crowd. "Traded like currency, whipped and beaten, then discarded like trash. All but a mere product for you and your own profit, your own greed. They've wept and bled for you, built entire cities for you, and still Solasúian kind is not yet satisfied. You enforce an impossible choice upon every human everyday: give your life or lose your life."

Each Solasúian in the crowd was gravely offended by Raphael referring to their kind by that demeaning label, inciting wrath. Raphael shook his head, rejecting their notion. "No more..." he uttered. "No more will your discrimination, your hatred, or your tyranny be tolerated. We shall bring about its end, bring about a liberation."

Stern-faced was he, gazing into their ireful souls. They grew more urged to move, and some proceeded to do so. But then, two familiar pillars of whiteish-blue flames began to rise from behind Raphael. A tall shape was made from the fire, thin legs leading into a thick, heavy top.

Telvern standing just at Raphael's side, birthing the powerful Steel Titan from a cocoon of shimmering flame. Its massive, metallic body crashing, its jarring, yellow eyes motionlessly gazing down upon those Solasúians in attendance. The ground shivering under their feet, striking fear into the hearts of everyone opposing Raphael. They had absolutely no clue what that abomination was, freezing their legs.

"Ormemel now belongs to us," the silver-haired heir asserted without a switch in tone. "All of you have two options: conform to our laws and become a member of an equal society, or grab everything you can carry and leave this place. If you try to resist, we will not hesitate to kill you."

A massive uproar ruptured from every direction, hateful, spiteful words spewed in anger, all directed at Raphael, his allies, and their so-called "liberation." They all wore the same face as if a store had sold-out the same mask to the entire city, a vivid rancor simmering the waters. The bubbles popping was the animosity loud enough to explode out from the surface, rise above the heated waters.

"Cowards!" shouted one of the Solasúians.

"Claim us the tyrants, do you!?" resentfully hauled another voice. "Speak for yourselves!"

The clamor of protest could incite a riot, and Telvern was ready to deploy his weapon to put them down. The Solasúian clasping the body of his beloved gripped his teeth, clenching his fist so tightly his bare nails could puncture through his skin. Although some still recovered from their intoxication after the party, he was still fully in control. But no longer did he hold control over himself, enthralled in an absolute, blinding wrath.

He took up his beloved's sword, slowly pulling his body from the ground. With a mighty, heart-wrenching roar, the sorrowful Solasúian barged forward. He charged in like a madman, his eyes clogged up with tears. Raphael's face unmoved by the storm of emotion coming, unfazed by the obvious and grievous pain he and his allies inflicted upon him and presumably many others.

His attempt to get to Raphael was impossible, and he knew it. It appeared almost a suicide, casting himself into the void in one great, furious shout. And so it was, a fist of steel very swiftly quelling his anguish. The Steel Titan's gigantic left hand smashed into the body of the Solasúian, crushing him into mere remnants of his former self.

The ground quivered at the raw power of the beast, all Solasúians who viewed of this attack let out all air from their lungs in one massive gasp. The titan then lifted its fist from the shattered earth, revealing the extent of the damage. A mangled, disfigured, bloody mess, limbs going the opposite way of what they were intended. The fist broke almost every bone in his body, his body so broken that some of his bones speared out from his flesh.

The thundering boom of the fist hitting the ground was a silencer, a buzzkill to the Solasúians' outcry. The absolutely devastating blow to the charging fellow was a compelling piece to them, but in parts did it entice them to pursue action further. But still... their kind did not understand what exactly that creature was, driving a fear of the unknown in their hearts.

The foreboding sense of death like a cage, staying them away from the silver-haired heir and his comrades. It seemed that they gradually complied to this demand, most taking Raphael's latter option without even considering the former. The city saw a mass exodus of glowing eyes by the sun's ascension, entire families dressed in rather fancy attire, carrying what little of their lives that they could.

Around the city did Raphael and his allies spread, going from door-to-door. They searched each building, finding frail, deprived humans dressed in ripped, dirtied cloth. They were caged in iron, bound to the wall by chain like a dog on a leash. Their wrists and ankles cuffed, all life lost in their eyes, their hope long fled. They were torn from their families, from their children and lovers, forced here in the name of servitude.

But then freedom arrived, basking them like sun rays overhead. The painfully tight shackles severed, a sense of elation overtaking them. The very thing they had long given up on had finally arrived, able now to finally savor its sweet taste. The late morning's glorious light upon them, feeling themselves to breathe again.

They were all gathered at the center of the city, residing around the statue of King Dias. Raphael and his group stood before them, and each of the former slaves awaited a word from their saviors. Raphael scrolled his purple eyes across the crowd, looking to every face, almost skeletal in nature. "Each of you have worked yourselves beyond exhaustion, worked your hands until they grew callused," Raphael spoke to the crowd. "Your efforts, talents, and very lives have long gone wasted on the deluded, the dastardly, and the single-minded. Balor's regime has drained you of all that you are, him and his 'Utopia' being built on your blood, on your sweat, on your tears."

Raphael shook his head, seeing faces shift in the crowd. "No more can you allow this injustice to be practiced, no more can you stand and accept this as reality." the silver-haired heir continued. "You cannot allow them to have their way, it's time you speak. Stand beside us, strike at the heart of the coercion which forces you to submit. Together, we will succeed. Together, you will be free."

They then received a reaction from the humans, but not one they were exactly expecting. The former slaves seemed to cower, faltering, slithering back into their shells. Despite a rather blunt but inspirational speech given by Raphael, the message went... dark. The dark-robed young man then shuffled his head, putting his hazel eyes to the people. "...Will no one fight with us?" Daevarro then asked, his voice still a little weak.

"C'mon, fellas!" said Calvin to the crowd. "Ya ain't gunna know nothin' 'til ya try somethin'!"

The group could just look into the eyes of the crowd, finding souls broken, battered, hollowed-out. There was nothing left to give, all they wanted now was to just live in peace. Most didn't want to fight anymore, some feared that this rebellion would fall just as the last. They may not speak from the mouth, but one could listen to them speak from their eyes.

They spoke in tales, nothing but hatred and no respect for the men of promises broken and preaching freedom and equality. There was no hope for Raphael and his comrades, and no one wanted to die for a hopeless cause. Now that they were free, they couldn't bear to risk it all again. They didn't want to take up another futile rebellion, they wanted no part in that.

"And for what?" spoke one of the former slaves. "If we give you our lives, you'll give us nothing but empty speeches and false hope! You'll just fail, just like you did at Lumbridge!"

The crowd of former slaves seemed to concur with that statement, nodding and speaking in agreement. Raphael sighed rather heavily, disappointed but certainly not blaming them for their reluctance. "Yes, Lumbridge was my fault," the heir responded. "But we cannot hope to understand victory if we do not first understand defeat."

"Defeat is all we'll ever know!" shouted another from the crowd. "There is no victory for us!"

"So you'd rather yourselves live to die than die to live?" then questioned Keres**, tying his arms together in frustration. "You'd rather your lives go sacrificed for them than for us?"

"That is the most senseless—..." the angry Lamian Shakir then spoke in a critical tongue, but then Raphael raised his right hand up, halting his voice.

A moment of silence later, Raphael's hand recoiled back to his side. He closed his eyes, concealing his purple incandescence. "I cannot think ill of you all for your distrust and disdain," he said to them. "You're free to choose to fight or not, I will not force you to bear arms."

Such a statement was an alert to some of his comrades beside him, knowing the true importance of this moment right now. "I was told once that we are in control of our fate, of our destiny," the leader then went on. "If we want to live, then we can will it so. If we want to win, then we can will it so..."

Raphael then opened his eyes back up again, staring upon each face in the crowd firmly and solemnly. "But by standing down, you accept this as your reality, your present, your future," he declared. "By choosing to bow, you play into their desires, give them the reins. You let them control your fate, your destiny. You let them dictate your reality, your present, your future."

Unfortunately, it was like trying to saw wood with a butterknife. So weak and feeble were these fissures cutting into this solid wall, nothing even got an inch through. The humans then just silently disbursed, soulless, walking past the group like zombies. It was a rather discouraging sign, for now their plans were freefalling once more.

Calvin pulled his hands behind his head, looking to his allies. "Well, dat went well..." joked the assassin, trying to deal with the rejection.

Telvern pondered now what to do, clenching his chin with his right hand. His face appeared zoned out, diving deep into his mind. He had to think of a solution, needed to find something. He scoured through a book of a thousand thoughts, but every page seemed to contain nothing. He had to search that book more intently, there's certain to be something inside.

Raphael was especially bitter of the outcome, his hand having the urge to punch a wall. "Dammit..." he growled in frustration.

"So what are we going to do now?" asked Shakir in anger. "We most certainly cannot invade Governanti with our numbers!"

"No, that would be beyond suicidal..." said the merchant Kereske, trying to think.

Shinon raised his eyebrows, crossing his arms. "Maybe we're just outta luck?" the archer just threw out there. "I mean, c'mon... Our only hope was just in front of us, and it was like talking to a wall."

"No, I don't believe that," Daevarro earnestly dismissed, convinced that there was some kind of light at the end of this seemingly endless tunnel. "There must be something we can do..."

"There is," the genius Telvern's voice suddenly entered into the conversation, drawing the eager eyes of his comrades over like bait. He then looked to his comrades, having come to some sort of conclusion. "...Alverra."

Well then, thanks for putting like two hundred posts on top of me. I can't even find the page where my last comment was! But like I said last time, I will probably limit my comments to about two posts per go, so that's about up to twenty posts per read per posting of my comments. Hopefully , that'll keep things more manageable and easier to go through. Much better than unravelling a giant wall of comments! It'll also be less to write and read per go.

(And oh man, this chapter is gonna take quite a while to read through)

(continuing from page 129)

Unfortunately, I don't recall much from the earlier opening of this chapter. I've been reading multiple stories like crazy on Wattpad and Rping, so I may not be able to remember much for this very long story with very long past chapters.

OK, knights and unfolding paper; invitation to funeral. Telvern goes. Speaking of which, is he really a genius? He goes into the adamas castle featuring heritage, but I think Balor's statue depicts him much more dashing than he really is? Oo, “demon goddess” sounds cool, I did not realise Lamia was such. Eliott appears, unwilling to reply to questions, but hands a struggling robe, intended for women, but there's the disguise. Soon, Momus' body burns in a casket.

Caerus speaks, he takes Momus' role. Lucia appears, too, thinking about her turncoat uncle. Prince and princess discuss Momus' past, and what humanity is within us. Ah, hello Gallows; I am surprised by his debilitated state, didn't see that coming. Speaking of demons, are there any in the story?

Balor talks about Momus to the crowd; seems he is an honest guy despite his many flaws, and Lucia gets mad about that. He does have a point, and still talks about the possible consequences, even pointing to the fire. I've now reached page 131.

OK, I'll stop here for now, and mention that I might not be able to read as frequently as I'd like. I have less spare time now than ever before, but I will be tagging along nevertheless. I also hope that things are going well for you. But ya, hopefully, I can read two pages per go once in a while more often than tonight. It's just that I'm busy in Wattpad, trying to keep up with all my followers even though most of them don't reply to my comments. OK, see you next time!

Ah, hello! Hope everything is well with you.

"Telvern goes. Speaking of which, is he really a genius?"

He likes to think so. B)

" but I think Balor's statue depicts him much more dashing than he really is?"

The statue depicts the dazzling Hero King Dias, a real smug jerk whom Balor greatly resembles. Members of the Barn family have a tendency to look rather alike.

"Oo, “demon goddess” sounds cool, I did not realise Lamia was such."

No, she's not actually a demon goddess. The Solasúians just really don't like her, given the fact that she... kinda sorta killed a bunch of them when she went on her little vengeful murder spree.

"Speaking of demons, are there any in the story?"

Not currently, no.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read. And don't trouble yourself over it, it'll be here whenever you have the ability to get to it. If not here, then eventually on Wattpad too... once I can get my lazy face to post it. XD

Thanks again!
