Thaumas then went on a tirade, an endless banter about his ship. There were even times where it sounded like a repeat, merely assembled in a different manner. All of this talk of the illustriousness hurt the heads of the many, only intriguing the ears of the few.

"...Gods, he needs a woman," then groaned Shinon in mental anguish, clenching his face with his hand.

"Oh, don't be too 'ard on 'im," Calvin quietly replied. "He jus'... re'ly, re'ly loves his boat."

"Perhaps a little too much, I'd argue," Malik joined in, his ears hearing enough about Eternal God King of the West, Glorious Silas Alverra's ... glory.

"And what the hell's up with that name?" Shinon continued to insult. "Did he just think of a bunch of words and just threw 'em together to make the stupid ship sound grand? What is he, five-years-old?"

"I ain't even gonna touch it..." responded Calvin, shaking his head.

"...Imagine her, gracefully cutting through uncharted waters like it were made of paper, stumbling upon undiscovered lands and locations!" Thaumas continued on in his delightful trance, drawing the attention of Raphael. "Ooo, how wondrous, indeed! Imagine the adventure! The excitement!"

"Did you say there are other lands out there?" then questioned Raphael.

""As we charged the city's walls, there swam giant wooden machines upon the water's surface, carrying the wealthy onto an escape"," the captain then recollected a line from ancient records. "Where would these wealthy folk go? Why, to another land, of course!"

This was an interesting prospect for the silver-haired prince, finding it difficult to comprehend other landmasses out there and just would await upon them. Was there really other humans out there? An actual human-controlled civilization, just like the kingdoms of old? Who were they? What would they be like?

They drew closer to the ship, able now to drink deeply in all of its splendor. But it was like sampling the world's finest wine gone sour, for its prime days were far behind it. Its weathered wood had clearly met tides amany, the exact number matched only by the amount of barnacles which encrusted its lower half. It was beaten and clearly missing a board or two, yet by some miracle, she was still standing.

"Just... look at her!" Thaumas commented, utterly enchanted. "Isn't she just beautiful?"

"She's cer'inly sumthin', cap'n," Calvin returned, his eyes wandering onto every detail that Eternal God King of the West, Glorious Silas Alverra had to offer.

Guiding the crew across this wooden board deathtrap, Thaumas stood happily before the lane onto his ship. He then firmly planted his right foot upon that wooden board, merrily strutting aboard his glorious ship. The enthusiastic captain then turned around, watching then as his company climbed aboard.

Raphael was the first of the group, stepping up with his left foot, his naturally dominant side. This act made Thaumas's skin crawl like the rush of thousands of tiny insects, sending him jumping. "NO, no, no, no, no, no!" the captain exclaimed rapidly, a sudden, surprise reaction which startled Raphael and everyone else. "Back, back, back!"

"What?"

Thaumas frantically pointed his index finger at Raphael's left foot. "You stepped aboard with your left foot!"

"So?"

"If you step aboard with your left foot first, it's terrible luck," he swiftly clarified. "Goodness, are you trying to get us killed in a kraken attack? Come aboard, but lead with your right foot, please!"

"A... what?" The group certainly must've questioned Thaumas's language. All this nonsensical sailor superstition and lore was a little hard to absorb, but this was the ancient history of the human world whispering into their ears. This vessel was the last one remaining of all of its kind, for the gods had committed mass genocide upon all watercraft.

This mentioning of proper footing and krakens sent Thaumas's gums somehow flap ever faster. Anything from the history of sailing to a sailor's plethora of superstitions were on the table, making comment of even a banana. The enthusiastic captain became drunk on his own knowledge again, his sense of reality overlapped by this state of intoxication. His ears deaf to anything but the sound of his own voice, making sure he's getting all of his facts right.

As the prince forced his right foot first and began his ascendance, he heard a familiar voice amidst the flurry of noise being hurled out ahead of him. "Hey, aren't you coming?" Raphael then heard the dark-robed young man Daevarro ask.

Raphael's purple irises then peel off of the wooden path ahead of him, turning off to his right. Back all the way at the beginning of that crudely-constructed pier was Neeson, sitting all alone upon a rope-tied barrel. Neeson turned away from Daevarro's question, grumbling under his breath.

"What are you doing?" shouted Raphael with impatience. "Let's go."

"There's no need to exert any further," then suddenly advised the genius Telvern Thaddeus, shattering the gazes of everyone upon Neeson. "He won't come, no matter your words."

Daevarro then turned to Telvern. "Well, we shouldn't harass him if he doesn't want to come. I mean, he did just come along with us without reason."

"It's more than a mere lack of desire," Telvern stated, then sighing. "I suppose I should have mentioned it prior to our arrival, on cause of many in our group carrying traces of Solasúian blood..."

"What is it, Telvern?"

"Solasúians, even half-bloods, are terribly thalassophobic," the genius told everyone, surprising them. "There are a series of well documented accounts of Solasúian soldiers of high rank speaking of their first encounter with Gielinor's lakes and ocean. One such captain hectically described the invasion scene at Draynor Village, now known as Foirfeach. A scattering of humans managed to board a ship, prompting some Solasúians to give chase. But the instant their feet touched the water's surface, those soldiers became distressed, terrified, even physically sickened. But some stubbornly battled through their fright and foolishly charged into the water, but they did not understand its concept and knew not how to swim, thus they began to drown. When the captain attempted to spare them their fate, he immediately fell prey to his own fear and forsook them, resulting in several deaths. It is a phobia which plagues Solasúians of every measure, I'd speculate that it's become something of an inbred trait, almost a poison to them even."

" Júvoot -- water -- was seldom found in Solasúila," the Neheztelian goddess Lamia then suddenly added. "It possessed not an ocean, scarcely a river. Rain showers, a commonplace in Gielinor, was an exceptional event, finding equilibrium with this world's phrase "once in a blue moon". Moreover, to my comprehension, architectural displays of water, as like fountains, were reduced to vain exhibitions of affluence by the highest among the Sólszemek . Igja , the concept of water is... unfathomable to them."

"Indeed," the genius agreed. "It's a probable scenario that some of us may be affected once we board. As a precautionary measure, I'd implore any with Solasúian blood to restrain their eyes from wandering outside the ship. If you happen to do the opposite, you're likely to experience anxiety, a sense of panic, a significant impairment of your perception and cognition, even illness. That is why it is imperative you stay your eyes inside at all times. Do not allow your curiosity to gain the upper hand."

"Sumthin' ta keep 'n mind, folks!" the social assassin Calvin proclaimed. "If egghead says it's-a prob'em, it's-a prob'em."

"Yeah, whatever," Shinon then carelessly dismissed, unconcerned by that which doesn't affect him. "Let's just get on so we can go kill some gods."

The classic blunt nature of Shinon was met with mixed reaction, everyone watching as he aggressively pushed past them to get on board. But they all headed onward, those flowing with the blood of the godkind taking note of the genius' warning. They settled one foot forward, taking care that it was their right foot first, lest the wrath of a certain enthusiastic captain came for their heads like an executioner.

The group entirety was now aboard the deck of Eternal God King of the West, Glorious Silas Alverra , able to take in the whole of the ship. Thaumus, utilizing his Solasúian powers, began preparing the ship to depart. His glowing brown eyes dropped down to a small crate by the wheel, smiling proudly as he found an old coat and a tricorne hat waiting inside

Excitedly did his blood jitter, brisking placing himself inside that coat, feeling it like it were his king's mantle. He then delicately placed that tricorne hat upon his head like it were the crown to his empire. Emboldened by the suit, Thaumas took the wheel by the hand, casting his eyes out determinedly. With a favorable wind at their backs, Eternal God King of the West, Glorious Silas Alverra began its departure.

The ship began to swim bravely across these thick, swampy, septic waters, pushing through all the debris and disgust. The cool, refreshing ocean air brushing across their skin, the winds fiddled with their hair. They were off to the races, on an adventure to this destination off-shore.

Despite Telvern's clear warning, the eyes of some pried. Daevarro stood at the bow, practically feeling as if a bird soaring just above the water's surface. It was truly an awe-inspiring sight to behold, gazing off into the boundless sea. The two twins meeting with each other, the infinite sky and the endless sea touching each other upon the horizon.

But there was something not too far from them, an unusual construction cushioned between the sky and the sea. It appeared quite small to the human eye, but to the Solasúian eye, details had already begun to unravel. Daevarro squinted his eyes to better focus his sight, seeing a strange wooden platform, much like the one described by Silas.

Half an hour passed as they drifted further and further out into sea, fleeing that cesspit of primal desire and sin. Everyone had their own little personal place on the ship, for the trip was longer still. Telvern sat isolated on top of an old crate. His right leg bunched up on top of the crate with him, his face hidden against it. His left leg dangled on the edge, his foot shuddering vigorously upon the creaking, old wood. The menacing rocking of the boat made the world feel as if a top in a ceaseless spin, even as he himself was not moving.

Taking notice of Telvern's sickly condition, Calvin excused himself from his queen's side, concerned over the well being of his friend. "Geez, egghead... Ya lookin' even more paler than usu'l," the social assassin pointed out, coming before him. "Is dis dat phobia thingy y'were talkin' 'bout?"

"...No," weakly muttered Telvern, feeling his stomach convulse like an angry mosh pit. "I believe... sailors of old referred to this as "seasickness"."

"Ya gonna be all right?"

"My body is merely in... a state of conflicting signals. My eyes see a still world, whereas my brain has perceived a world in motion. Once the... environment stabilizes, my symptoms should be alleviated."

Telvern then loosened his position, revealing his face from behind his leg. "In the meantime, however, I'll be over there, heaving up my guts..." he then commented, attempting to get up on his own, but his legs were like jelly, its exact direction unstable and uncertain.

Calvin quickly jumped to Telvern's aid, clearly to the dissatisfaction of the sickened genius. "...What are you doing?" the furtive genius questioned, venomous.

"Well, yer walkin' 'round like ya got two lef' feet, so figured I'd come 'round 'n' be yer right foot," the assassin candidly returned, facing Telvern's anger with a big smile. "If I asked, ya'd jus' stubbornly refuse 'cause ya don't wanna trouble nobody."

"...Has it ever crossed your mind that I perhaps might reject your assistance simply on the basis that I dislike you?"

"Ha ha ha... Yeah, thought-a dat a couple-a times. But jus' 'cause ya don't like me don't mean I can't 'elp ya, y'know? Now, c'mon! Let's find a place ta park ya."

Certainly in no state to properly protest, all Telvern could do was accept this act of kindness. Beyond the ill genius was Raphael, a young man on the move. His scarf caught in the tumble of the winds, that crisp ocean air flooding into his lungs. He proceeded to the bow, where he found Daevarro residing.

"You see anything?" Raphael asked the dark-robed young man as he approached, his own eyes taking in the fantastic, vivid blue which stretched for miles and miles.

"Nothing conclusive," Daevarro reported unfortunately, unable to rip his eyes off of the ocean. "I can make out a couple of people on the platform, but not much else beyond that."

"That's fine," the silver-haired prince tried to alleviate Daevarro's disappointment. "Once we're in close, they'll probably begin to prepare themselves for our arrival. If that's the case, I want you to use that smokescreen of yours to disorganize them and assure that we don't get slaughtered as we disembark."

"I understand."

Raphael couldn't help but to notice as Daevarro was practically glued to the ocean, creating a slight smile on the prince's face. "In Governanti, you'd never imagine that there could be this much water in one place. It's actually pretty amazing."

"I've read about the ocean in books, but I never thought I'd actually get to see it with my own eyes. Then again, just a year ago, I never thought I'd actually get to see the outside world."

"A lot's changed," Raphael soaked it all in, crossing his arms. "I wasn't aware of who I truly am back then. Hell, just a year ago, I thought I was human."

"...Yes," Daevarro woefully muttered in a deep sigh, his facial expression then hanging low. "I can't believe it's been a year since... since Beatrice was..."

"I know."

"I just wish she were here now..."

"She is, Palaemmir ," the Neheztelian goddess Lamia then intervened in their conversation, a disembodied voice which startled Daevarro. "Death transcends life, and life transcends death. 'Tis not finalization which death bestows, but culmination, a completion of form. She resides now eefdin áljin eefban Ihe -- within and without you."

"You told me once that thinking about your sister reminds you of something important," Raphael continued on ahead of Lamia, feeding off of her attempts to encourage the young man, with which Daevarro replied with a nod yes. "Good, then that means you've something to fight for, to live for. She lived and died protecting you, so that makes you responsible to do the things she couldn't do, see the things she couldn't see, experience the things she couldn't experience. We don't simply breathe for ourselves anymore, we do so now for those who died so we could live. We're the last remaining part of them that still lives in this world, so as long as we're alive, they're alive."

The silver-haired prince's words like the winch which pulled the crane, lifting up Daevarro's heavy sorrow and lightening his load. His gaze depleting from the sea, fixated upon Raphael's earnest expression. "Yes, you're right," Daevarro agreed, smiling lightly. "Thank you, Raphael."

The instant that Daevarro got off that sentence, he began to feel unusually. He staggered backwards, grabbing at his forehead as he attempted to shake it off. This sudden act bore some concern in the silver-haired heir. "Everything all right?"

"Yes, I just feel a little... strange..."

"It's probably what Telvern was talking about. Go get some rest. We're going to need you."

Daevarro nodded in agreement, then stepping away from Raphael, trying his best to cope with this strange feeling. The silver-haired prince then focused his eyes upon the horizon, specifically that platform. As it drew nearer, Raphael couldn't help but to feel a certain... weirdness about the whole situation.

Regardless, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, stepping away and mentally bracing himself for whatever may come. Would they suffer more casualties? Would they lose another friend? Only time was the storyteller, weaving together a tale of tragedy and fate.

Beyond this ship was that which it headed for, the platform with people who began to notice its coming. There were several personnel dressed in a faded brown, very clean, practically-designed coat, their hands and feet covered with a fine pair of gloves and boots kept on by a series of crossing strings. Their waist tied with wrapping, all the tools of their trade assembled neatly at the front of their waist, including a weapon.

These practically-dressed folks were without eyes upon the bewildering sight, however there were those who stood aware and very perplexed by the ship's appearance. The latter appeared to be soldiers of a sort, each of them armoured in only their most vital of locations. Beneath their armour, they wore a blueish-white, seamless, robe-like garb embroidered with blackwork, a hooded capelet and a sash which they wore across their torso, both matching their garb in color and material.

Each of these soldiers scratched their heads as they saw this ship cutting through the horizon, although they did well to disguise their confusion. These commoners knew nothing, working all throughout the platform like any ordinary day.

"What is that?" questioned just about everyone who gazed upon this unusual feast for the eyes. Hushed chatter between the soldiers began to spread, turning to one another for comfort in this bemusement, shrugging their shoulders, yet some grew uncomfortable by the sight.

One of these uneasy soldiers possessed a telescope, lifting it to his eye. His dark brown eye crossed this circular door, entering a room like a kaleidoscope of shimmering blues. He could make out this ship which swam at full sail, but he could not make out its passengers. He scrupulously examined its structure, noting that it bore not an image on its sails, not even a flag to represent its affiliation.
