As she urgently marched on, the situation in the other world began to grow in strain. That hexagon-shaped room became an abundance of uneasiness, its crystallized walls pumping with energy much weaker than usual. But the scenery was not on the minds of those of the Resistance group, for there was something else on their minds.

A minute split in two had passed, and still Raphael was just standing there. But not for long, as he finally had begun to make some motion. His arms began falling back down to his side, his back slightly hunched over. He then very sluggishly twisted his head just enough for his eyes to look behind him, everyone now able to see his jarring, soulless gaze.

He inspected everyone, going from person-to-person in a sort of scanning nature. Everyone could see the look on his face, his mesmerizing, incandescent gaze catching everyone off-guard. They were all taken back, an alert blaring loudly like sirens in their heads. Their thoughts raced faster than their lungs could pull and push out breath, a cold shiver flowing like a waterfall down their spines.

Their bodies grew stiff and defensive, readying themselves for whatever might happen. Whatever it was, they did not like the view of the future. Their minds could only stray to figure out what was to happen next, but the air told a tale that held a very bleak end. Upon the next minute, as the atmosphere was like a constriction of apprehension, it seemed as though Raphael's investigation into the group had finally concluded.

He pulled his face away from them, looking back at what was in front of him. His change of view threw everyone off, just making the air even more dense with anxiety. Shinon's hand very carefully reached across his shoulder, being sure not to even so much as breath in the wrong direction. He wrapped his fingers around his bow, pulling it slowly to his side.

As the archer made his move, Raphael then suddenly made his. His body pulled upwards, lifting him up off of his feet. His body now hovering just off of the ground, causing air to gather and swirl around just under his feet. This motion caused everyone to jump out of their skin, buckling their knees to get going.

They leaped about a step behind them, seeing as Raphael seemed to pause. The group then heard a rather iniquitous snicker from the light, attracting the gaze of all of Gielinor. "Go on, boy," the voices then said to Raphael. "Do as you're told, teach these fools the meaning of fear. Annihilate them all!"

Shinon's face grew with rage, his inner corners of his eyebrows dipping down. "What?!" he questioned with infuriation. "The hell's your issue all of the sudden?! Why do you want to kill us!?"

"It's obvious, ain't it?" Calvin responded, but then the assassin looked down upon himself with such disappointment. "...I shoulda seen dis comin', I shoulda known."

Telvern gripped his teeth in frustration, cursing himself for ignoring the fearful feeling in his deepest pits of his stomach. "Dammit," he growled furiously under his breath. "Raphael!"

Now that the situation was plain to see, Shinon made a beeline for the arrows upon his back. His hand quickly latching tightly onto the shaft of an arrow in the quiver on his back, ripping it out from its leather home. The very moment he made this motion, Raphael disappeared, leaving behind rippled, wiggling air that was in his shape. But that too disappeared within the next moment, becoming back into the air.

The genius and the assassin watched this play out, their eyes widened with shock. Their heads shuffling their heads frantically to spot him again, and it didn't take long before they did. His floating body was there, being just in front of the archer. His movement like the split of a second, appearing there before Shinon.

His intimidating, stolid glance peering down upon the red-headed archer, paralyzing him. And just as swift as the action which brought him before Shinon, Raphael's left hand found Shinon's throat. His grip tight like a vise, completely taking the archer by surprise. With extreme ease, without effort like his arm was without resistance, Raphael pulled Shinon up off of his feet by the throat.

Shinon struggled with all of his strength, squirming to break his grip. But alas, his greatest might was not nearly enough to even budge his grip. The archer choked violently, unable to grasp air. Telvern began charging, dashing as fast as he could towards Raphael. "Stop!" he shouted loudly and strongly, bolting for his nephew.

Raphael lifted up his spare hand towards Telvern, not even looking at him. Suddenly did a pulse of invisible energy blasted out from the palm of his hand, heading towards the genius. Feeling the harsh pressure upon his head of his senses telling him of this threat, Telvern froze in time and put his arms up to defend himself.

The pulse overcame the genius, his clothing convulsing as the energy swallowed his body whole. His teeth clamped together as he let out a painful grunt, feeling as though the ground began to forsake him. He then found himself soaring across the air, being forced off of his feet. His body swinging around carelessly like a rag doll, aiming for a wall.

Telvern then felt a sharp pain, every single nerve in his body crying out for mercy. They were brought down and made to suffer, this pain shooting all throughout his being. He had viciously smashed into an adamas wall, his head a slave to the impact as it fiercely whiplashed. His face agasp as his lungs were utterly robbed of all air, his eyes widened so largely that he could see every bit of the room at once.

His body then began to fall back down, tumbling back towards the ground. He hit the metal hexagon tiles hard on his front, his face sickeningly coiled up in agony. His teeth bare, his eyes tightly closed shut as the pain from his back radiated throughout all of his body. He heard a ringing in his ear, his consciousness barely able to hang on.

He couldn't think, much less think about getting back up, his voice groaning. His body sapped of all strength to do anything, the acute pain of his back keeping him from even breathing. It took a moment before his body could recover from the shock, allowing him access to his lungs once more. But still, he laid there limp and almost lifeless.

Seeing this all play out, Calvin knew he had to make a move. He targeted Shinon, knowing that if something wasn't done, the archer was a goner. Although he had bad feelings towards him for his mockery of his goddess, the assassin was willing to put that aside. His legs became animated, springing to life. His agile, nimble body sprinted forward, coming towards Raphael from his left side.

Feeling the threat creep forward, Raphael just discarded Shinon like yesterday's garbage. He flung Shinon off in that direction with such ease, the archer's body sent flying across the air. His body aiming for the assassin, who quickly noticed this change in situation. An exclamation point popping up in his mind, bracing himself as fast as he could.

Shinon's body smacked heavy into Calvin's chest, something that was perhaps a little too much for the slender body of the assassin. He broke like a twig, toppling over and falling fast towards the ground. He slammed down hard upon his back into the floor, gripping his teeth with anguish. "Ugh," the assassin painfully grunted, his elbows bent up and his hands held in a tight grip.

Shinon, having bolted across the atmosphere, began descending down back towards the mortal world. Feeling as the flow on his long hair changed in direction, the archer steeled himself for the impact. The weight of his world crashed down on his left side, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the hit could have been.

Still, the pain from it was stern, his face submitting to it. Many of the arrows in his quiver had spilt out from their home, being scattered all around the place. His body made into a barrel for a moment, rolling around after the ground found him once again. After all had begun to feel the power of the being they had to deal with, Raphael cast his furious gaze upon another. A humble man simply upon his knees, quietly and meekly awaiting his next command.

His ears having heard all that went on, but his voice did not question, his mind did not think. Raphael disappeared from sight, leaving behind that strange rippled air in his shape once more. The powerful being with the familiar face then resurfaced once more, fading back into the scene. The floating young man glared the bowing Soter, looking down upon him.

Still, Soter didn't even react, was not fazed at all by this change. He kept his hooded head down as though he were afraid to lift it, afraid to look up and see the image of his masters be altered for the worst. Raphael just looked down at him, unsure of whether or not to attack him. "Go on," the voices then addressed Raphael's issue. "He's served his purpose well, but pawns eventually become useless. He may die now."

Without even giving it a moment, Raphael launched his right leg upwards. He punt-kicked Soter right in his hanging head, the point of his foot smacking the envoy square in his face. Soter's head lifted upwards, Raphael's vision able to see as his face reflected with this pain. The young man's hand then grabbed onto Soter, pulling him up to his feet.

But still, Soter didn't even try to defend himself. Raphael clenched his right hand, swinging it as fast as he could towards the defenseless messenger. His knuckles smashed heavily into Soter's face, sending the envoy flailing backwards. In the moment that he was flinched, Raphael opened up his right hand, its palm up close to Soter's chest.

In the background, while Raphael was dealing with Soter, Shinon's body grew with motion. He slowly peeled himself off of the floor, clenching onto his injured shoulder. But he knew that this was not the time for rest, he had to make something happen or else the worst was going to happen. On his knees, Shinon readied his bow and arrow once more.

Putting his bow out in front of him, his fingers quickly glued onto an arrow that had splattered across the floor. He put the arrow on his bow's string, pulling it as far as he could. The arrow was solid on the string, ready to take flight at the command of the archer's finger. But he waited patiently for a chance, the very moment Raphael opened himself up.

Shinon watched as a force so strong pushed into Soter's body that it sent the messenger flying off of his feet, a pulse of invisible energy bursting out from Raphael's hand. Soter zoomed helplessly across the room, but he still didn't even seem like he tried to fight it. His cloak and hood rattling as the air rushed by him, his bird-motif armour shaking.

But it seemed Raphael was not done with the messenger, a ball of azure blue energy forming in front of his left palm. It was small and gave off the appearance of a ball of flames, but it suddenly erupted from his hand. A beam of energy ruptured from that ball, the messenger who took to the air was under its eyes.

At a rapid speed, the head of the beam found Soter. And once it did, it swallowed him whole in light. A smoldering flash intensely burned into the retinas of all who unfortunately had their eyes opened in that moment, then a loud, booming explosion consumed Soter and shook the room like a massive earthquake.

The messenger began to fall from the air, smoke pouring off of his body. His armour ravaged by the explosion, those strange magical embers oozing out from a variety of different wounds he had sustained. He hit the metal floor in an empty, ringing echo, his body drew breath no more. His right arm and part of the right side of his chest literally gone, letting loose an abundance of those embers.

Shinon was poised, ready to make the shot. His black as coal irises glaring intensely upon the young man, the tip of his arrow's head glistering in the room's light. His fingers were just seconds from letting it go free, having the perfect position to make the kill shot. Just a second more, he kept telling himself.

Calvin's agonized face pulled up to check if Shinon were all right, and he saw that the archer was more than all right. The view of the arrow was a high sign, Calvin quickly trying to react to this shot. "Stop, you fool!" he urged loudly, challenging Shinon's decision, picking himself up to his knees. "You're going to kill him!"

Calvin's words had absolutely no effect on Shinon's judgment, his fingers finally letting go of the arrow. The arrow ran out of the gates as fast as it could, deadly like a torpedo did it speed off. Its head just missing Calvin's cheek, rushing off for its target. Raphael turned his head towards the two in reaction to all their commotion, not realizing that the arrow was inching ever close to him.

Shinon had predicted that Raphael would eventually look over this way, and this arrow was placed perfect for such an occasion. The soaring eagle found its prey, clawing into its flesh. The arrow chewed through Raphael's head, hitting him just above the top of the bridge of his nose. It hit him right in the head, blowing through his skull.

Raphael's head was forced upwards, the arrow ripping through his forehead. His body grew limp, beginning to collapse downwards. He fell onto his knees, his soulless gaze pointed up towards the ceiling. His arms waving around lifeless as his body grasped the impact of its dropping to the ground, his knees sliding on the hexagon floor.

His head then fell down in this instance, his back hunched over like he were acting in defeat. Kindred to that of Soter, Raphael no longer showed any signs of life, his breathing and pulse all but vanished. Shinon rose to his feet, pulling his bow down to view what he had done. Calvin looked on in horror, seeing that all life had dissipated in Raphael.

The assassin's eyes then jolted for Shinon's face, appearing furious with a heavyhearted glare. Calvin's hands reached for the collar of that white shirt underneath the red-haired archer's coat of plates, pulling him up. "Why did you do that!?" the assassin yelled. "What were you thinking!?"

"It was either him or us," the archer answered back in a severe tone. "What decision did you expect me to make!?"

"The right one," Calvin responded, his eyes casting a terrible judgment. "and that one wasn't it!"

"What was the right decision then?" Shinon spoke back as quickly as lightning. "Was it him killing us all, him ending your little cause before it even begins? Oh, or was it us trying to convince the real people you should be yelling at to not ki..."

Calvin noticed Shinon's voice suddenly fade out, the anger on the archer's face disintegrating into a utterly shocked expression, his jaw hanging open in the middle of making motion for his words. The assassin watched Shinon's black irises wander off of his face, casting a stare somewhere else. Rather, his stare was ripped from the assassin's face, stolen and forced to look another way.

The assassin looked behind him, trying to find exactly what it was that had Shinon almost aghast. Appearing vividly in the eyes of those who looked in that direction was the image of the young man, slowly rising back up. The arrow shot by Shinon still stuck in his head, his torso hunched over. He was breathing again, very slowly he did he ascend to his feet.

Calvin's hands dropped the archer's collar just as slowly as Raphael's rise, his jaw dangling down just above the floor. "W-what...?" muttered the assassin, even he was shocked.

"Ha ha ha," the voices from the light then laughed. "Did you truly believe it to end so easily?"

Shinon's shock grew into a deep irritation, angry that the desperation was revived. His teeth fastened together, his face tightened up, the grip on his bow only intensified. Their eyes watched as Raphael finally stood back on his feet, the part of the arrow that stuck out from the entry point then just fell off from his head.

The edge of the broken shaft looked black and smoldered like it had been burned, it hit the floor before Raphael's feet. The part of the arrow still inside of his skull then began to melt, merging and becoming one with his flesh. The wound had completely healed as though it were never there, now allowing Raphael to lay his glowing blue eyes upon the two.

"How the hell are you still alive?!" the red-headed archer shouted in frustration.

Without word, Raphael just continued to stare over in their direction. But moreso, he was glaring at Shinon as if he wanted revenge. Raphael pulled his left hand out in front of him, pointing it towards Shinon. He then quickly recoiled his hand back as though he were dragging, pulling something towards him. In the exact instance that Raphael's hand started to come back towards him, Shinon was then swept off of his feet.

His felt his body being pulled towards Raphael, like he were a ball being tossed in reverse. He drew closer to Raphael, his front would be the first to meet him. Shinon didn't even know how to react this, his eyes pulling wide as he struggled to break free from Raphael's grasp. But his grasp truly was like the grip of a giant upon a meager human, pulling him inwards.

Shinon was now close enough to Raphael for him to meet him, the floating being with the familiar face meeting the archer face-to-face. The very first chance he got, Raphael's hand came flying in for a heavy fist, and Shinon tried to defend. But alas, he was not a warrior built for this, taking a hefty toll despite the defense.

He took a thunderous uppercut head-on, Raphael's fist blasting Shinon from just under his jaw. The archer's mouth slamming shut, feeling the pressure of the blow come upon his teeth. He felt them painfully grind against each other, his head forced up. Once Raphael's fist no longer pushed into his jaw, the saliva in Shinon's mouth was spit out, his eyes seeing as it was mixed with blood.

Raphael then launched another fist, only this time aiming for the archer's torso. The young man's fist pounded into Shinon's mid-torso, just underneath his chest. The hammering blow felt like it almost inwards, shattering Shinon as the blow swept all across his body. Shinon tried his honest best to stop Raphael, but he just was in too much pain to do anything but wallow.
