Chapter 29
Dropped on the lonely shore, and abandoned by the fisherman, reveling in his wealth, Gregory walked cautiously toward the town, casting a teleblock on himself so as to make sure the inhabitants could not teleport him. As he neared it, one of the villagers saw him. She screeched, and cast a teleportation spell at him without success. When she failed, she called the other villagers and they all collected, and began to move towards him.
“Hello, Fremennik! My name is Baba Yaga, and you are intruding. I know not why we cannot teleport you, but you will die very soon if you do not remove yourself from the premises.”
“I apologize for my guise in which I came.” Saying this, Gregory morphed into the shape of a young man with white robes. He morphed in front of them both to amaze them, and to show that he could not possibly be a Fremennik.
“I am here to meet your people and to learn your culture, and hopefully to learn your spells as well. I am acquainted with battle spells of many types, but I wish to learn more of the domestic spells. Will you aid me?”
The populace of Lunar Isle was amazed. They had never known a human to morph so easily and quickly, and they were also amazed by his politeness and his stature. For Gregory had morphed into a very tall and partially handsome man, so he was naturally very attractive and imposing. He walked into the village, and met each of the citizens personally.
