Chapter XXI
Gregory had now spent the last four months summoning creatures in his underground dungeon, creating a creditable 210,000 powerful creatures for his future fight with Lucien. Each day he had summoned 1000 creatures, the next day he could summon a few more, and the next a few more, until at the end of the four months he could easily summon 2,540 creatures in a day.
Lucien had been spending the last four months following Gregory’* example, training his powers. He had just realized that Gregory was actually more powerful in summoning undead creatures then he was, and wanted to be able to match him demon for demon when the fight came. Of course he was unaware of the massive size of Gregory’s power underground, and so badly miscalculated how much power he would need.
Saradomin and Zamorak watched grimly, Saradomin gradually becoming eased in his worries, and Zamorak’s fear growing by the day. Zamorak realized that both forces were against him, and whichever won would be at his throat eventually.
Therefore Zamorak began his play in this battle of wits and power. He summoned his top 5 demons, and had a meeting.
“I am assured that all of you have seen the growth of this boy from Varrock. He has grown in power faster then I thought possible, and I wonder how he became so powerful in a short time,” Zamorak said.
A demon named Narragthangh in the human tongues spoke up. “We now know how he obtained so much power so fast my lord. It appears that Lucien intended for him to be a pawn from the beginning, and when he saw the boy chased out of his home and living the woods, he gave him dreams. These dreams helped him to his goal and gave him an idea of how to become powerful.”
