<Separating them would definitely be in our best interests... though I have a feeling that Forlirn would be the best to keep alive, if we had a choice. He seems to be the most knowledgeable about Nrilgroth. To be honest, I don't think we have much of a chance at all without him.>
"Good, good," Forlirn replied, narrowing his eyes slightly as descended farther into the chasm. "It would be quite ironic if we came all the way here and, after preparing ourselves to face horrors beyond our darkest nightmares, one of us trips and breaks his neck."
"Ah, well, I'm certain you've heard the legends," the mage responded, pausing for only a short moment. "People go and get themselves involved with some magic of some sort and next thing they know they've been changed into a dragon or some sort, unable to turn back without going on some quest of some sort. Now granted, they are legends, but most legends have a grain of truth to them. And the thing with magic is it can really mess you up if you don't know what you're getting into. Magic is, of course, everywhere, so it's hardly going to mess things up normally. But this kind of magic isn't normally around, probably hasn't been around for years and years now, and we're not quite sure what it does. Chances are, it won't do anything at all, but we have noticed that certain people seem to be sensitive to magic. Thus, we thought we'd offer everybody a chance to make sure they're safe rather than just hope they're safe. The precaution is probably unnecessary, but you might as well know for sure instead of take the chance."
((I would have no problem with you submitting an ancient dragon. It'd probably be a good idea to give me a general overview of what you have in mind, first, as I have plans for quite a few ancients that I've yet to introduce in the thread.))
