Hmm...bad weather coming up on my house.....eh to hell if my computer gets fried, i have....Smoke signals! I'll just send puffs of smoke in the air at random times of the day, ometimes at night. Just make sure you see it.

Chapter 19: The Road Ahead

Roy and Anna walked out of Cassius' room and walk to their room. After entering their room, Roy lays down on his bed and puts his hand behind his head. Anna sits back down and continued her sewing. "Was I wrong?" Roy asked himself. Meanwhile, at the room with the round table. Cassius appears before Zadkiel, Samil, and Valdis, a young lady with silver white hair.

Zadkiel smiles and walks over to Cassius. He extends his left hand out to Cassius. "Welcome to our palace, brother." Zadkiel greeted. Cassius sheaths his Dragon two-handed Sword and grabs Zadkiel's left hand with his right hand. They shook hands.

"Thank you." he replied. A shimmer glowed behind the other two. The one who appeared was the demonic god, Malvolio. Valdis and Samil knelled to the ground and bowed. Cassius looked at Malvolio, Malvolio looked at him.

"Cassius. So, you did accept my offer." Malvolio said

"I suppose. Only because of the fact that you were the one who opened my eyes to the truth." he replied.

"That's a good enough reason."

"Very well."

Malvolio turns his back around, facing a strange door. "Come. It is time your destiny bring you true power." Cassius walks over to Malvolio. Malvolio opens the door in-front of him which had words engraved on it. "mettono un altro al buio" Malvolio shuts the door as Cassius entered the room. It was a room that was only lit by torches that were the color black and red.

In the middle of the room, there was a stone slab with more words engraved in it "Ombre entrare in questo spirito" and "Abyss consumes.". Malvolio walks over to the stone slab. "Come. Lay down." he said. Cassius walks over to the slab and lays down on it. "Are you sure that you wish you go through this?". Cassius quickly nods his head. Malvolio places his left hand on Cassius's forehead.

Cassius feels the greatest feeling of pain consume him. His screams of agony filled the room. After a minute, Cassius' eyes slowly close. "Death is peaceful, child. Now endure, for after this. You shall be a new person." Malvolio whispered to Cassius. Cassius' eyes closed all the way.

In a vision that Cassius was having. He was walking in the endless darkness. When suddenly, he heard a disturbing giggle. He shuffled his eyes left and right. After another 30 seconds, he hears the giggle again. After a minute of endless walking, he sees a shadow like creature that was in Cassius' shape. It had one eyes that glowed red. It looked at Cassius. It had one wing on it's left side.

Suddenly, another Cassius walked over to Cassius. Only different in appearance was that the other Cassius was wearing opposite colors than Cassius. Cassius' shirt was gray and the other Cassius' shirt was white. Cassius' hair was silver, another Cassius' hair was black, and so on.

"Wait a minute, you're me?" Cassius questioned.

"I suppose you can say that." the other Cassius replied. "I am the demonic side of you."

"My demonic side? I thought you'd be all insane and you would go all 'I'm going to kill you' on me."

"Ha, you dork. I am not that savage." Demon Cassius points at the shadow. "Well, I guess I am if you mix that with the demonic power."

"What is that anyways?"

"Oh, that? Well, that would be your anger, hatred, sadness, fury, rage emotions that you've been hiding for some time."

"Wow. They actually took a form?"

"During this trial, yes."

"Okay. So what do we do in order to end this 'trial'."

"Well, the scary thing is. We have to merger with tall-dark-and-gruesome."

"Oh, great. This is going to be fun."

"Ready?"

"I suppose."

"Alrighty."

Cassius and Demon Cassius charge at the shadow. When they go near the shadow, the entire area disappears. Cassius appears in the room of complete blank. He takes a few steps but suddenly stops when he sees another him.

The other him had black hair, his right was blue and his left one was red. He wore a black trench coat with no shirt underneath, and brown long pants and boots. On the back of this Cassius, he had wings. The right wing was white and the left one was black. Cassius stared with widened eyes. He quickly realized that this Cassius was going to be the reborn one.

"So, you're going to be the newly reborn me." Cassius said.

"Yes. I am the new Cassius." the other Cassius replied, his voice sounded similar to that of Angelo's.

"Wait? What do you mean by the 'new' Cassius?" The other Cassius laughed. Cassius grit his teeth. "Why the hell are you laughing!!?"

"You fool. Do you not see what the true point of this trial?"

"?"

"From this point on, I am Cassius Lysimachus. And you are a lost conscious who no longer exists."

"What!?"

"That is right. You no longer exist in this world. You are a lost soul with no meaning."

"Are you saying that Malvolio lied to me?!"

"More like used you."

"What the hell? Damn him.."

"See? Now do you see the world for what it is? Only the ones with true power thrive, and those with the weak power die. Those who beg for true power are puppets with strings attached. Hate to break it to you, you were a puppet to Malvolio this entire time."

"I'm a Half-Demon and I'm proud of it!"

"Is that so? You best think again."

Cassius looks down at the ground and sees a reflection of himself. His eyes widened when he sees what has happened. His left eye wasn't red anymore. He falls to the floor and crawls away from the other Cassius. The floor under Cassius began to consume him, like quicksand.

"Y-you can't do this to me! I'm the Prince of the Black Knights! This is not fair!! This isn't right!!" he screamed.

"Welcome to the real world."

Cassius disappeared into the floor. Back in the real world, Cassius opened his eyes. The Demonic god smiles upon his awaken. "Welcome, my new son." he smiled.
