Chapter 8: The Next Invasion

An hour passes, Deus knocked on Jacob's room door. Jacob, who still remained awake, snapped his fingers and the door opened. He sees that it was Deus and by the way Deus looked at him, Jacob knew instantly that it was something important. Jacob stacks his notes and puts his quill back into the bottle of ink. Deus walked into Jacob's office and stood 4 steps away from Jacob's desk.

"Lieutenant Deus Celino. I didn't expect you until tomorrow morning for the mission briefing. Are you here to deliver the news early?"

"Commander Jacob sir. I went to Cassius' room and questioned him as you suggested. And yes, he confirmed it himself that he is infact a Half-Demon because he was given the power of the demonic god, Malvolio." Deus crosses his arms. "So, did you know about this for a while or just recently?"

"I've known for quite a while actually."

"So, sir. What are we going to do about it? Execute him?"

Jacob shook his head side to side. "No, we're not going to do anything at all."

"It is your choice sir. And I will obey whichever choice you make."

"Look, I know without a flaw of a doubt that you're upset about this. I know you don't like, infact hate these evilly possessed people. But, we mustn't judge one simply because he is different. Hopefully, you can understand completely."

Deus sighed. "Of course sir, I understand."

Meanwhile, at the capital of the Black Knights -- Falador. Three knights enter Angelo's room. Angelo was staring out his window with his hands together behind his back. The knights had two men -- One: a man with a black, long beard and a cape, a Summoning Cape. and Two: a elderly man who had a long beard as well. He wore mystic robes from the Magic Guild and he also wore a Legend's Cape. The three knights force the two magic users to bow along with them.

"Sir." one the Black Knights said. "We have the magic users as you've ordered."

"Pikkupstix, Sebastian. Welcome to my castle." Angelo greeted. "As you may know, I am in need of your very special summoning abilities during the Divine Dusk; which if you do not know is two weeks and three days away from today."

"Why do you need our ability?!" Sebastian growled.

"Yes Angelo. Why do you need our summoning power?" Pikkupstix asked.

"For my great plan to work of course." Angelo turns around, facing the five. "To make this world be ruled by one kingdom, one army. And I cannot do that without my Black Knights gaining unstoppable power, like myself."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm going to bring the Lord of Shadows, the demonic god Malvolio himself back into this world." The two summoners had a face expression of disbelief. "With his ablitly to be able to make all my soldiers turn into Full-Demons and make them go literally on a bloody rampage. I'll have unstoppable power by my side."

"But what do you do afterwards? You can't change them back."

"What? You think I don't think these things through? Of course I can, the demonic god can switch them back as he pleases."

"Grrr..."

"But, I need the last master summoner in-order for this plan to work. I need Jacob Vortigern."

"My apprentice!?"

"That's right Pikkupstix." Angelo took a few steps forward. "In approximately two days, three hours, and fifty-two minutes -- Lumbridge will be attacked and will be claimed by the Kinshra."

Back at the White Knights castle. The nightlight passes into daylight. Cassius continued to stare out his bedroom window. His arms crossed and his eyes down. Cassius' eyes scanned the outside he is able to see through his window. He closes his eyes and sighs. "Now they know...and now...I'll be punished..." Cassius mumbled to himself.

"What's the matter Cassius? Why so depressed?" the voice whispered. After hearing the words whispered to him, Cassius' attention was taken. He turned around and shuffled his eyes left and right looking for the source of the voice. Cassius grabbed the handle of the Dragon 2h Sword that was strapped on his back.

Cassius continued to scan his eyes across his room, not showing a sign of fear nor expression. Suddenly, within a blink of an eye. Angelo suddenly appears in-front of Cassius and grabbed Cassius by the throat and lifted him into the air. Cassius struggled to break out of Angelo's grip but was unable to.

"Well, isn't this a case of deja vu, huh?" Cassius said. "You've got me where you want me -- you can kill me anytime you want to."

"No, I am here to extend a word with you, Cassius." Angelo replied.

"Spare me from the lecture nonsense. You're just here to make a statement; like you always do."

"You are not making this easy for yourself." Angelo makes his grip stronger, almost to the point of choking Cassius. "Cassius, come to the Black Knights and reclaim what you had."

Cassius laughed a bit. "Like hell I would."

"Then I see no point in keeping you alive."

"As they say Angelo," Cassius' right eye changes to red. "An eye for an eye!"

He kicked Angelo's face very hard. Angelo lets go of Cassius and summons his demonic swords into his hands. Cassius pulled out his Dragon 2h Sword and slammed it towards the ground.

Angelo quickly dodged the attack. But, while Cassius was defenceless -- Angelo charged at Cassius and impaled both of his demonic swords into Cassius' arms and tackled Cassius against his bedroom's northern wall. Angelo quickly pushed both his swords deeper into Cassius' arms, deep enough that they are embedded deep into the wall; leaving Cassius stuck.

Cassius snarled at Angelo, with the most violent intentions in his eyes. "It is basic knowledge not to move your arms. If you do, it may lead to your arms being torn off." Angelo said. Angelo looked towards the door, he heard a drum of footsteps getting louder and louder with each moment. He begins to hear talking, he listened to words of concern and worry.

Angelo looks at Cassius "The attack will begin tomorrow, I do hope we can continue this discussion. But, until then," Angelo said as he waved his left wrist once. "Farewell." He disappeared, his demonic swords disappeared along with him. Cassius fell to his knees with blood pouring down his mouth and wounds.

He growled in frustration as he punched the wall once with his right hand. The door to his room opened, Roy and Anna rushed into the room. They saw the blood on the wall and they saw Cassius. They see that his arms are covered in blood and ran over to him concerned. They knelled down.

"Cassius, what happened!? We heard a lot of loud noises and we heard your voice and another person's voice so we immediately came here. Are you okay?" Roy questioned.

"I'm fine." Cassius growled, with anger in his voice.

Anna looked at Cassius' wounds and saw how deep they were. Her eyes widened instantly. "You need some healing help, these wounds are very deep!" Anna grabbed a spare case of bandages from a small bag on her waist. "Here, let me help you."

"I said I'm fine!!" Cassius smacks the bandages out of Anna's hand.

Roy got angry. "Hey! She's only trying to help you!"

Cassius stood up. "Why don't you just get off my back.."

"We're only trying to help you because you're our friend."

"You're not my friends. I don't need friends, I only need myself." Cassius left his room, leaving Roy and Anna in a bitter feeling.

Nah, I'm never planning on giving up anytime soon. I could never give up (unless it is necessary).

I promised another chapter, and so another one appears!

Chapter 9: History Repeats Itself

An hour later, Everyone entered the mission briefing room. Jacob stood in the middle of the room with all the other knights circled around him. Jacob placed a large map of Lumbridge on the wall and began pointing things out with a stick.

"Everyone, tomorrow, the Black Knights attack Lumbridge. I've have already informed Duke Horacio of this and he has prepared his knights as ordered. Lieutenant Deus and Sergeant Julie will lead an army of knights to the enemy's main army where Angelo will be leading. I've already given instructions to the Duke regarding defensive plans, such as the use of Barricades and Explosive potions. While some of the Lumbridge knights throwing potions to detract the knights while Lieutenant Deus and Sergeant Julie's group attacks the main knight army and goes after Angelo. The others will defend the city from surrounding Black Knights."

"That seems rather..." Roy said.

"Difficult? Yeah, I agree with you for once." Cassius replied.

"It is but the only thing I could think of at this moment." Jacob replied.

After a few minutes, a female wearing what appears to be a lesser demon shaped mask leaves the castle. With the mission briefing finished. The White Knights are teleported to Lumbridge where they will be waiting until tomorrow. Out in-front of the Lumbridge Castle, Roy and Anna were talking to each other.

Cassius remained silent reading a book with his back against the gray stone wall of the castle. Cassius began to feel a strange presence in the air. He realized it wasn't demonic, but a presence of unbalanced feelings. Cassius didn't know who it was but he had his theories. He simply shrugged the feeling off and continued to read his book.

But, he heard a large scream of agony. It caught his, Anna and Roy's attention. They ran into the castle and saw a scene of a massacre. Corpses of White Knights and Lumbridge knights laid on the ground lifeless. The three climb upstairs to the second floor and saw more corpses laid dead and the Duke was no where to be found.

The three began to hear laughing in the distance, it seemed to be coming from the third floor. They raced to the next floor where Silver Robe stood with Duke Horacio by his feet, unconscious. Roy's expression quickly changes to an expression of anger.

"Silver Robe!!" Roy yelled. "Why did you do this!!? What do you want!!?"

"What do you think, Roy Elamlife?" Silver Robe replied.

"Who is this guy?" Anna asked herself.

"All this!? Just for me!?"

"Haha..you say it as if it wasn't necessary." Silver Robe points his blood covered sword towards Roy. "Sekot Ar Imoo needs you, Roy Elamlife, to bring back our master, Lord Alrous!"

"I'm not surrendering myself! Do you hear me!?"

"I'm afraid you have no choice."

Angelo punches Roy in the gut and continued to punch him until he went unconscious all in a blink of an eye. Anna and Cassius' eyes widened. Angelo grabs both Cassius and Anna by the throat and lifts them into the air. "As we speak, my plan is going into affect." Angelo said.

"W-what plan!?" Cassius growled.

"To take your Commander, of course." Angelo looked at Silver Robe. "Silver Robe. My soldiers need me, can you simply knock them out so I may return to them?"

"Of course, now that they're unable to move." Silver Robe walks over to the two and merely places his hand on their backs. After 30 seconds, their eyes close and they lose consciousness. "Drawing them in was way too easy. This ambush was the perfect plan."

"Take them. I have Jacob to deal with."

"But what about the Lieutenant and Sergeant? Aren't they here too?"

"No, they did not leave with the rest of the other knights. Trust me, my source of knowledge never lies."

"Alright, I shall go." Silver Robe looks up at the sky. "Stor en tage mig." Silver Robe and Angelo disappear. Silver Robe and the three appear at the ruined castle that seemed to be in the snowy north. Silver Robe looked at his brothers. "Brothers! I have brought to you the one we've waited for." Silver Robe said.

The hooded men had a smile on their faces. "I'm sure Roy Elamlife will take the staff if someone he cares for is in danger..haha.." An hour later, Roy opens his eyes and sees he is on the floor. He got up and scanned his eyes through the area. He sees that he is in a destroyed castle in the north.

"I see -- you are awake." Silver Robe said.

"Where are you!?" Roy yelled. Silver Robe suddenly appears with Anna tied up beside him. Another hooded man was on the other side of Anna, pointing a sword to her throat. Roy's expression was shocked. "Let her go!"

"I promise I won't hurt the girl, as long as you promise to surrender."

"Don't be an idiot!! Roy, do not surrender!!" Cassius shouted to Roy.

Roy closes his eyes tightly and moves his head away from facing Silver Robe. "But...what if they kill her..."

"Don't be such a weak wuss and fight!"

"I can't..."

"Are you really saying that one insignificant life is worth all the lives in the world!!?"

Roy sighs. He opens his eyes, his clenched up fists are released. "Take me."

Cassius closes his eyes and shakes his head side to side. "What an absolute idiot." he mumbled to himself.

Silver Robe smiles. Another hooded man pushes Roy over to where they had the Staff of Alrous. He takes a deep breath and gulps. His hand slowly reaches out for the staff. But, the sound of people getting killed and beat up takes Roy's attention. Cassius broke out of the ropes that bound him. His eyes were red as he was killing people. Cassius ran at Silver Robe.

But, he was punched extremely hard in the gut by Angelo, who had suddenly appeared. Angelo looked over at Silver Robe. "Thank you." Silver Robe thanked. Angelo looked at Cassius as he fell to his knees after that punch. Cassius' mouth had blood pouring out of it. "Get up." Angelo said. Angelo kicked Cassius' face hard while he was on his knees.

Cassius' head whiplashes against the stone floor after being kicked to the floor. Cassius' head bled after that very hard kick by Angelo. His eyes were closed and he panted heavily. Angelo picks Cassius up by his black scarf and throws him to the nearest wall. Cassius' back slammed against the stone wall.

He laid on the ground, unconscious. Angelo looked over at Silver Robe. "Thank you once again." thanked Silver Robe. "You may leave." Angelo disappears as soon as he heard Silver Robe tell him to.

"Now that he has been taken care of." Silver Robe said. "Take the Staff of Alrous and your friend will be saved."

"A-alright..." Roy replied. His hand slowly reached for the staff.

Anna regained consciousness. She saw what was going on beside her. Her eyes widened. "Roy! Don't do it!"

Roy's hand freezes. His eyes widened as he turns his head over to Anna. He sees that it was infact Anna who said that. "Anna...?.."

"So what if I lose my life. My life for the life of the world isn't worth it! Don't take the staff!"

"Enough!" The hooded man shouted as he kicks Anna.

Roy closes his eyes and a tear drops from his left cheek. "I'm sorry Anna...!" Roy grabs The Staff of Alrous. An overwhelming feeling of power overcomes Roy. Two men in hooded white robes with green trim enter the room. They see that Roy's hand has grabbed the staff. "Dammit, it looks like we're too late." one of the white robed men said.
