~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~two days later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tirent was still feeling the worst he had ever felt. Marie was sitting by his bed,
"Feeling alright?" she asked, concerned.
"No" Tirent muttered. He slid off of his bed and got to his feet, "There's still something wrong with me."
Tirent looked in the mirror, his eyes were still white with only small wisps of red. He walked into the room with everyone else and sat down. They all wanted to help him.
Dex turned to him, " y'know since you didn't finish your training you missed out on a lot, maybe we can help you catch up, we have become elite soldiers because of it.
"Ahh, Shut Up!" Tirent growled. He got up and left the room. Tirent was frustrated. He wished he could transform and break this whole place.
Then he suddenly realized, he hadn't felt his dragon impulses once, except for when he first saw Dimboo.
Tirent decided he should check his internal dragon energy.
Some of the the others began walking into his room to see i he was OK, but he ignored them.
He closed his eyes, looked within himself. Everything was dark except for a hole of sunlight from above. The beam of light fell upon a curled up figure. The figure was hugging its knees, pulling them against its body, with its wings tied fast around it. The long neck drooped, and its head was rested on its legs.
Tirent could hear a long moan emanating from the creature. This was his aggressive side? Tirent called out to the dragon, "Hey, what's wrong?" He walked over to the creature and put his hand on its back.
A low voice said, " I have failed us..." the dragon shivered weakly, "I let them defeat me. That man came into your mind, and I couldn't drive him out."
Tirent was surprised. It wasn't the energy draining shackles that had caused his dragon side to be so weak, it was remorse. The dragon had lost his will to fight.
