Chapter 10
Logan stared at Aura’s hand in disbelief.
“Wha... Who shot that?” he stuttered.
“Bandits, probably. Don’t worry, I’ll teach them a lesson.” Aura replied, as though it were some petty annoyance.
He reached into his rucksack and produced a purple object. Logan’s heart stopped. The hat! It was really his! He had, in a way, never truly believed Aura, but to see the hat for real shocked him. It radiated power, and Logan was tempted to reach out and touch it. Aura placed it upon his head, and his image changed suddenly. Logan had considered him to be just a friend, equal in status and power. This image was shattered, and he finally realised who he was looking at.
Aura grinned, and turned around to face the assailants. He drew a dagger from his belt, and threw it from his right to his left hand. It gleamed red, burning with power. Logan shuddered. It was dragon weaponry. The bandits did*’t stand a chance.
However, it did*’t stop there, as Aura reached into his rucksack again and produced a sheath, from which he drew a desert sword made from the same material, and held that in his right hand.
