P: “Well, the dead Elves seemed to be killed by a metal blade, and one of the tents was smashed by what looks like a large boulder… from the sky.”
Gwir: “I’m sorry, what was that last part?”
Eluned: “Yes… In my years, I have never heard of sky boulders…”
Islwyn: “We should not trust this human. He/she may have served us in the past, but humans are greedy! He/she could have been bribed by the Death Guard!”
Ar: “Silence! Player is a loyal ally. He/she would not steer us wrong. But Player… Do you have any idea of who could have done this?”
Player options: 1: “I have no idea**
**: “A shame. We could have used their help. If you find out, please let me know!” (Ends conversation)
2: *I think I know who…”
Ar: “That is a relief! Please, go meet with them at once; they could be a viable ally!”
P: “I’ll see what I can do…” (Ends conversation)

Surely you know at this point who the culprit is: The only people in Isafdar with flying rocks, and an enemy of the Iorwerth Clan: The Tyras camp, and their trusty catapult. Head over to the camp, and talk to General Hining.
General Hining: “Grab as many rations and weaponry you can find. We move the camp at dusk.”
Tyras Guard: “Yes sir.”
General Hining: “You- take those chickens and- Oh, you aren’t one of my soldiers. You were that Catapult engineer. Well, that catapult has kept us alive so far, so I thank you. Now please, I am a busy man. I need to move this camp and everyone in it to safety.”
Player options: 1: “Ah, I see. I*ll let you be then.” (Ends conversation)
2: *What’s the rush?”
GH: “Normally I wouldn’t answer that to a civilian; but you repaired our catapult, so you deserve to know. Ever since the assassination of our King, my men and I have been stranded here in the western lands. Even the traders at our port aren’t willing to take my men to safety, as they fear the wrath of these Elves.”
P: “But why are you packing up now? You and your men seemed to be safe before now.*
**: *Well, yes, but morale was running low with my men, and we realized it was only a matter of time before we were hunted down. So we held a vote of what should be done. My soldiers overwhelmingly voted for us to make one last move before our defeat: to attack the enemy head-on.”
P: “That’s certainly surprising; you seemed to be greatly outnumbered**
**: “Ah that is where you came in! Once we had our catapult repaired, we aimed it deep into the forests, and with some luck, we launched a boulder straight into the Elves’ camp!”
P: “Ahh… That explains so much…”
GH: “What was that?”
P: “Just talking to myself. Go on**
**: “Yes, well, it turned out the catapult’s attack did far more damage than we expected. My men quickly mobilized, and lead an attack on the enemy, while they were still recovering, and confused. Most of the Elves retreated deep into the forest, and we did kill a few of them

, while meanwhile, our army took no casualties.”
P: “That’s amazing! You actually did some critical damage to the Iorwerth Clan**
**: “Yes, but we are afraid the mission might have gone too well. We are moving the camp, in hope that the Elves don’t hunt us down once again.”
P: “Where will you go?”
GH: “We aren’t certain, but recently, we found a scrap of paper that was in the King’s tent at the time of his assassination, that somehow managed to survive the fire.”
P: “What does it say?”
GH: “We aren’t sure of that either, as it is, only a scrap. But it does seem to mention that there would be a safe haven on the east side of the forest… I have no idea what this ‘safe haven’ is, but it’s our only hope.”
P: “Would that scrap of paper mention the name of this safe haven?”
GH: “Err, maybe. There was definitely a name on here, but I don’t even know how to pronounce it, and it doesn’t look like the King could either.”
P: “Lletya?”
GH: “Chletuh… what?”
P: “Never mind the name. However, I do think I know what this safe haven is**
**: “Well, as helpful as that sounds, I’m afraid my men are in no position to take helpful tips. We can only listen to those we can trust.”

Player options: 1: “You can trust me**
**: “I’m sure on normal conditions I could, but I am in the middle of leading an army! I have no time for this…”
2: “I understand, I will find some proof**
**: “If you insist. Thank you anyways, I suppose. Now, where did I put those halberds…”
(Both options lead to the same next line of dialogue)
*A Tyras Guard climbs through the dense forest to the north, climbing into the center of the camp*
Tyras Guard: “General Hining! Our scouts have seen several squads of angry-looking Elves approaching our camp!”
GH: “What!? They’ve discovered our camp?”
Tyras Guard: “I’m not sure, but they seem beyond determined to kill anything that gets in their way**
**: “We… We…”
TG: “General?”
GH: “Then here we make our stand. We will hold them back from here. Tell that disgustingly shirtless soldier to the north of here to collect as many rocks as he can to load the catapult**
**: “Yes… We have a problem with that general…”
GH: “Well spit it out man!”
TG: “The catapult guard is ill. He says he has not been well since our attack on the Elves’ camp. Apparently, he has ‘a formerly unknown-of fear of warfare***
**: “Blast, I should have expected as much. Adventurer, you’ve tested the catapult once before, do you think you can do it again, to aid us in battle?”
Player options: 1: “Not happening**
**: “Coward. Then we will fight with our hands and teeth, and pray for survival!” (Ends conversation, when you return to progress the quest, it will start from the Tyras Guard’s entrance, so you don’t have to sit through the long dialogue again.)
2: *What’s in it for me?”
GH: “Well, first of all, your survival. We will also offer you anything we can spare, and will trust your word about the ‘safe haven’ to the east.”
3: “I’ll do it.”
(Option two and three leads to this next line of dialogue.)

GH: “You are doing a great service to my people. Now men- take defensive positions!”
TG: “Sir, the Elves’ army seems to have spread their main force into four squads. The first squad seems to be their first line of offense, while the other squads are camped in three separate groups to the north-east**
**: “To hide their numbers… Attack in waves… If I did*’t hate them so much, I’d admire their strategy…”
Distant Elf Warrior: “I FOUND THEM! KILL THEM ALL!”
GH: “They’re here! Adventurer, get to the catapult!”
*The screen will fade to black, and you will appear in a similar screen to the one you saw in Catapult Construction, when testing the catapult. However, it differs from before, as it shows a different area, and the three “Test rocks” are replaced with three camp fires, each with three Iorworth-clan warriors surrounding it. The three camp sites are placed with one near the Yew Trees east of the camp, one where the Elf Tracker was formerly located, and the last one placed beside the white berry spawn. The rules are the same as during catapult construction- less counterweights means a closer range, and more counter weights mean a further range, and unsurprisingly, the big red button fires the rock. You may use as many rocks as you like. Once this relatively simple puzzle is complete, there is a short cut scene of some Tyras guards killing the last few Elven attackers.*
You will reappear beside General Hining once again. Talk to him.

General Hining: “Well done my friend, you managed to scatter the attackers before they could even reach our camp. I lost some good men in the defence, but we live to fight another day.”
Player: “I’m glad I could help, General.”
General Hining: “Ha ha ha… There is no need for any more deception, Player. I know it was you who tried to assassinate our King. And do not worry; I know you were under the influence of Lathas’ deception.”
Player: “Wait, so you knew that I assassinated your King?”
GH: “’Assassinated my King’? You destroyed an empty tent!”
P: “Wait, so King Tyras is alive? Where is he?”
GH: “I believe you’re talking with him!”
P: “Wait, YOU’RE King Tyras? Then… Where is the real General Hining?”
GH: “Oh please. General ‘Hining’? I came up with that name as a play on the word ‘hiding’…”
P: “Well, I certainly feel gullible…”
GH: “Well, all this is in the past. But your attempt at regicide did burn away many of my maps and documents, so I still don’t know how to find this Chletter…”
P: “Lletya**
**: “Erm… Thank you. Now before we head out, do you have any questions for me?”

Player options: 1: “Why did you deceive me about your identity?”
GH: “An interesting question. I knew that the Dark Elves would work relentlessly for my death, and knowing my brother, Lathas, he would send an assassin to eliminate me, as it is easier than using the Ardougne military. So I faked my death, to save lives of my soldiers. Any other questions?”
2: “Why are you at war with the Iorwerth Clan?”
GH: “The Iorwerth Clan saw my people as a threat, most likely due to our Saradominist nature. I did not intend for warfare with the Elves, but I was, and still am, ready to fight for my people of Kandarin. Now, do you have any other questions?”
3: “Have you met anyone by the name of Arianwyn?”
GH: “The hooded Elf? Yes, he and I met on a handful of occasions, but he seemed to only appear to me during times when I was alone, whether I was in the center of the forest, or in my tent in the middle of the night. He said he was part of an organization that was fighting the Dark Elves. I was desperate and running low on men and resources, so I did*’t ask questions, and accepted his helpful hand. I never received reinforcements like I expected, but my men seemed to have luckier hunts, and we noticed there were less traps in the forest than before. He was the one who presented me with the letter about a refuge for my soldiers in Chlets…Erm, that place to the east. Do you have any more questions?”

4: “If you’re King, why don’t you wear a crown?”
GH: “It was in my tent at the time of your assassination attempt. Any more questions?”
5: “No, I’m ready.” (This option progresses the quest)
GH: “Excellent, now those directions?”
P: “You will cross past the dense forests, and follow the traps. Eventually, you will be in a small area filled with Dire Wolves, and two long, bent-over trees. The trees will open for only those who are trusted**
**: “Ah, I see. But how do I know if I am trusted?”
P: “The trees will open for you**
**: “But how will the trees open for me?”
P: “If you are trusted… You know, this made a lot more sense when Arianwyn explained it to me. I will just meet you there**
**: “Fair enough. I will bring a token force of my men, and the rest shall remain here to protect the camp, in case this plan turns to the worst.”
P: “Well, to be fair, it’s unlikely the Iorwerth clan will try any more attacks on the camp for quite some time!”
GH: “Ha, well said my friend. Anyways, I shall meet you at the location you described.” (Ends conversation)
The screen fades to black, where General Hining is no longer at the Tyras camp.
Go to Lletya, and if you try to use your teleport crystal, you will get a message that “a strange power prevents your teleport crystal from activating”. When you reach the tree-gate to Lletya, you will find General Hining (now appropriately renamed “King Tyras”), and three Tyras guards. The trees covering the entrance to Lletya will now look very dark brown, and dead. Talk to King Tyras.

King Tyras: “This is the area you described… However, these ‘magical trees’ do not look as special as your suggested. My guard seemed to be able to move past them without much effort.”
Player: “That seems strange. Usually, they block off most people.”
King Tyras: “Then perhaps you should give it a try.” (Ends conversation)
Click the “pass” option on the trees, and unlike when they usually open for you, they will not respond. You resort to physically moving the branches from your path.
Player: “That… has never happened before…”
King Tyras: “Well, let’s see what this Chletuhah is like!”
You are in an instanced version of Lletya, and the entire town is in ruins. There are several dead Elf warriors on the ground, some in the uniforms of the Lletya guards, and some in the uniforms of the Iorworth Clan. The bank and all shops are empty. Even the Seren altar upstairs of Arianwyn’s house is vandalized.
King Tyras: “Wha… What happened here?”
Player: “I… I have no idea! Last time I was here, everything was normal. I suppose while I was visiting your camp, Lletya was attacked…”
King Tyras: *That… Is terrible…Well, it seems that there are only soldier’s corpses on the ground. Where could the civilians have gone? Are there any other ways out of the village?”
Player: “I’m not sure! I’ll look around…” (Ends conversation)
You can look around, but there isn’t much to see but dead Elf warriors, and even Bolrie’s workshop under the sheep pin is locked tight, so you can’t enter. Behind Arianwyn’s house, there is the rope you set up during Prisoner of Glouphrie (you will need to pass through at least one of the frame walls). If you climb this rope, King Tyras and his guards will catch up with you.

King Tyras: “Find anything up there, Player?”
Player: “It looks like the Iorwerth Clan did*’t notice this rope here. The people of Lletya could have escaped by this.”
King Tyras: “Interesting. We will follow you.” (Ends conversation)
Tyras and his men climb the rope, one by one. Follow the path to the cave used in Prisoner of Glouphrie. When you enter the cave, you will be greeted with a familiar face: Arianwyn. The cave is filled with all the normal people of Lletya, and a few Elf Warriors. Until the end of the quest, this place can be used as a substitute where you can pickpocket Elves, as well as use the Lletya shops.
Arianwyn: “Player! You made it! I feared the worst when you did not return!”
Player: “I’m fine, but what happened while I was gone?”
Arianwyn: Iorworth, Player. We did*’t see their army coming at first, until we saw several strange flying boulders, followed by screams. It naturally drew our attention, and from our tower, we saw Iorwerth’s army. We did*’t have much time, so we went with our first plan: evacuation. Ilfeen mentioned that you discovered a cave system to the east of Lletya, that the Death Guard would not look for. Well, she was right, while my people are safe; we lost many good soldiers in the battle. Lord Iorwerth did*’t bother with rendering us unconscious this time, he sent his soldiers to kill. *Arianwyn lets out a sigh* Player… Our army is in ruins. We can’t fight any more.”
