Sorry I haven't written for awhile. I have been busy with district honor band. I am dead tired right now so I really don't feel like typing up right now. I promise to write a new chapter tomorrow and fix the problems last time.
Edit: Beep282, when I get some time I will check out your story.

I've changed my mind, the girl used in the last chapter will be a re-occuring character in the story. So I will be using one of the bios.
I will be writing the next chapter now. DO NOT POST until I am done. I will write end of chapter or something like that when it is over.

Chapter 13
Passage of Time
Mathew stared into the Forest of Sent. To his left Santhari waited patiently. She had grown to a massive size in the two years of his training. If he reached up, his hand barely reached half way up her stomach.
After about half a year of training he had begun to train with Santhari. They learned to be constantly aware of each other, both in mind and body.
After about a year, she learned to fly and spent much time in the air, because she could no longer fit into most of the halls in the training grounds. So far they hadn't been able to find a distance where they lost their link with each other.
After spending much time with Trimen, they had found that he had the gift of the magic of the mind. He spent much of the day training with Mark, who had the magic of the tongue, and a girl Cassiel, who had the magic of the eye. They each spent some time alone with Trimen while he taught them the use of their magic and then time together while they studied the uses of runes and then practiced their magic together.
They did small drills where one would throw a spell at another and the other would attempt to block it at the third, who would then try to destroy the spell. At this point the third would launch a spell at the first.
Now, Mathew found himself at the Forest of Sent, and the edge of the boundary with Santhari, Mark, Cassiel and a man named Sifo Dias. Mark had on leather armor from head to toe, his ne tangs at his belt and every needle and knife that he could carry.
Mark, only fourteen now, had his his quarter staff and a slingshot that he always carried. He was wearing a simple red shirt and some shorts. Cassiel seemed impatient simply standing their waiting. She wielded a battlestaff that had vines and leaves wrapped around it and had a dagger at her belt. She was talented with water and earth spells and didn't really know how to use the battlestaff as a weapon.

The man, Sifo Dias, had no talent with magic but was a deadly warrior. He wore blood red armor and wielded a battle axe of the same color. Mathew didn't know the man very well but knew from what others told him that he was very good with that battle axe. He had also been warned that the man could go a little crazy at times.
Mathew looked at the members of his party and then strolled into the forest, thumbs stroking the handles of his ne tangs.
This was not the first time they had gone into the boundary, but before they had always been accompanied by at least the Master of Monsters if not more of the Masters. The first time they had gone in Mathew was worried that the Master of Monsters would run at the sight of the first monster, but he had quickly learned that the Masters of Monsters was possibly the most dangerous of all the masters. Any monster that came within fifty yards of them died in one quick slash from a dagger or from a thrown knife.
Now, after two years of training, Mathew was leading a party into the boundary on a recovery mission. The boundary was slowly becoming more and more active and villages and farms were being engulfed by monsters. Their wasn't an exact line were the boundary began, wherever there was more monsters then humans, there was the boundary.
Mathew's team were to go into the boundary to find a farm that had been recently engulfed to get the inhabitants out. Santhari flew into the air to watch for monsters, since she couldn't fit in between the trees. Mathew, Mark, Cassiel and Sifo Dias began to run through the forest in the direction they had been instructed the farm would be, and then they came upon a gueling.
-----
It had been a long journey for Arabus it had taken much longer then planned since he had to avoid towns. He had been attacked by multiple humans and had to run and gotten lost multiple times. Now after two years he topped a hill and saw it. The Tower of the Wizards.

Chapter 14
Monsters
Mathew dodged a small ball of goo from a gueling and then threw some rocks from a pouch at his side into it. It was the only way to fully destroy a gueling. The special rocks were the only thing that the gueling couldn't dissolve and would actually dissolve the gueling.
Mathew looked over to see Sifo Dias blasting through a bear-man, Cassiel weaving what she called threads of earth, through a pack of Reepers and Mark yelling strange words as balls of fire blasted into Snatcher. Occasionally Santhari would fly down and blast the monsters with fire or bash them with her tail and claws, when the forest allowed her in.
If they didn't find the farm soon then Mathew would have to have their party turn around. The sounds and smells of the battle would soon attract a giant bear-man, swoogarth or deathmonglor. They proceeded through the forest cutting, bashing and blasting through the monsters in their way.
Mathew launched a few knives at some reepers chasing them.
Even though the had the magic of the mind, they had found that he had very little talent for any magic other then healing, so he could not use magic to efficiently kill monsters.
Right as Mathew was going to call it they ran into a clearing. There was a small house with a couple barns around it and a large field, they had reached the farm. It was obvious that the family had barricaded themselves inside the small house as a number of monsters were trying to get in. Thankfully there weren't any of the smarter monsters around and the monsters must have focused on the animals first, or they would have been in the house by now.
Quickly assessing the situation Mathew gave instructions," Sifo, Cassiel, Mark. You three hold back this hoard of monsters. Me and Santhari will take care of the ones near the house and will see if any has survived inside." Santhari, already hearing his thoughts had already began to attack the monsters at the house and Mathew ran down to help

Slicing his way through, he reached the door of the house and banged on it with his fist while Santhari held the monsters off. He yelled,"I am a Bentarin. I am here to get you guys to safety. Let me in." He could hear the scraping sound of furniture being slid across a floor and then the door opened slightly as a single eye looked out. Once the person saw that he truly was a human the door opened up further and Mathew slipped in.
Inside the house he could see a boy and his father protectively standing over a women and two girls. The person who had let them in was an older boy of about eighteen who quickly ran back to the rest of the family. Santhari's thoughts came to him,"Quickly Mathew, I cannot hold them off much longer."
With quick instructions the family ran with him outside and he took them to where the rest of his team was. Without instructions, his team formed up around the family. Mathew in the front, Mark on the left, Cassiel on the right and Sifo Dias in the back. They burst through the trees. Mark and Cassiel each picked up one of the girls and put them on their backs, since they didn't need their hands to cast magic and the girls where slowing them down.
They only slowed or changed their path when a monster forced them to and then, just as quickly as the forest had engulfed them, they where out of it. The sun was setting so Mathew had them run a little further to get out of eye shot of the monsters and then had them set up camp.
