"Whooooo!! I didn't think they'd have them! Oh, shoot..." the hearty voice quieted down, because he knew that he shouldn't be shouting because he might attract the attention of a Jipalar Guard.
'No one but Vinnin,' Levantris thought as he smiled and moved towards the room swiftly.
'No one but Vinnin.'
He walked into the room and found Vinnin's tall, large figure emptying out a crate full of monkey dolls, stuffed expertly by the taxidermist in Canifis. They were all colored a light brown and wore red plush fezzes, and had the same brown smile stitched across their faces. When Vinnin held one up, he hugged it tightly, turning the plush animal into a mirrored C-shape as he bent it.
"Are you quite done yet, Vinnin?" Levantris said in a firm, commanding voice, and as soon as the sound reached Vinnin's ears, he shrieked in surprise and dropped the monkey doll, and then stared at Levantris. Even though he was wearing a skeleton outfit, Levantris could tell that he was more embarrassed than a couple of days ago at the meeting when he laughed out of turn.
"Aaaah! B-b-boss? How much of that d'you see, by any chance...?" Vinnin pushed the plush monkeys back into the crate with his foot softly, not taking his eyes off of him.
"You just better be grateful it was me who saw you. Come on. We're rounding up the team -- and we gotta do it quick. You know that the Jipalar Guards are running around in here, right?" Levantris looked behind him quickly to see if there were any other people back there, and then he turned to Vinnin and he said,
"Yeah, boss! I killed one! Those guys only look tough. Don't mean they *are* tough!" Vinnin held his head high in pride.
"Nice one. I managed to pick off a really big one. This guy looked like Savlon, I'm telling you. This guy was tall, and even had the same hairstyle, except it was pushed down by a black medium helm. He made *you* look small." Vinnin's eyebrows rose in surprise, and he replied,

"Whoa, seriously boss? Like Savlon, you say? Crazy, boss. Ok, let's run and find the others. How many were there again? Like fifteen or something, right?" Vinnin began to walk for the entrance to the room, and Levantris followed him.
"More like seven, Vinnin. Let's just say the Birdies are about as honorable as us in this deal. You don't need to know any more. Let's run!" Levantris said, and then he ran out of the room, while Vinnin looked back and forth across the room quickly, and then shot over, grabbed five of the plush monkeys, and stuffed them down his skeleton outfit. Since it was almost skin-tight, the monkeys acted like plush armor, although it made Vinnin look completely silly.
He darted out and found Levantris at the end of the row, waiting patiently. Levantris just shook his head, and the two walked down the next corridor, finding that there was a loud yelling in one of the rooms. They immediately ran over to the room, where one of the Black Arm members was getting up off of the floor, having just dodged one of the guard's fireballs from his handgun.
"No problem. Take him." Levantris said coldly as Vinnin nodded, took out his scythe, and drove it harshly towards the man's neck, but since Vinnin was inaccurate with the scythe, it only made a huge, bloody cut across the man's neck, and he cried out without dropping his gun.
As if it was all clockwork, Levantris flew up there like a fluid river of lightning, and brandished an Adamantite knife and drove it through the back of the man's neck, right into the base of his spinal cord before the guard even hit the floor.
Irtia was wandering around the warehouse, without much care to what she saw. She hadn't encountered any more Jipalar Guards, although she saw a couple of Phoenix members finishing up whatever they had been stealing. She didn't really care about them, or the fact that they were stealing stuff from one of the greatest treasure hoards in Gielinor.

In fact, there were only a couple of things that bothered her as of now. First of all, Thessalia had been acting very strange as of late. Irtia couldn't remember the name of the woman that was Thessalia's assistant, but Thessalia was acting suspicious after the disappearance of her assistant. She hadn't said what happened to her, although with the recent tornado that had torn through Varrock, there might have been a real reason for her disappearance.
Now, Irtia found herself at a four-way junction, where she could hear a boom and a large thud coming from the left side of the junction. She ran her hand through her hair, and lazily walked over to the room where she heard the thud coming from.
"Exactly! That's why you don't loot from us, dirty thieves..." the guard yelled as he put his gun to his side. He was in the center of the room, where he stood tall and proud in front of a corpse wearing Rogue armor.
It was obviously one of the Black Arms, as Irtia stood in the entrance to the room. She readied her axe, as the guard was bound to treat her the same way as the other one had. As he turned around, she noticed that there was a hole in the chest of the thief, from the gun that the guard was using.
"Gah! What are you doing here?! Well, no matter -- I'm gonna blow you away like I did that thief! You shouldn't be in here!" the guard said quickly, not pausing to breathe or seem to stop his sentences. He turned around and ran for the wall, while blowing into his gun.
"Is that all?" Irtia spoke, and the guard pointed his gun at her. She didn't budge, not even moving her wrist to grab her axe. She just stared him down with a cold, blank stare.
"What do you mean, 'is that all?'? I don't know who you are, but you're about to get blown in--" the guard was cut off by Irtia's axe rushing across his mouth, cutting right into it and slamming the guard into the wall, while he threw his gun backwards and screamed as the sharp blade tore through his cheek.

The gun fired backwards and slammed into the wall, ricocheting into a box and making it explode, sending sacks flying everywhere. As she ripped the axe out of the man's mouth, she twisted her wrist so that it became a deadly backhanded blurry swipe of metal that sliced off the man's head down to his lips, which still were pink as they fell over, becoming stained in blood. Some of his blood splattered on her armor, but it only blended in, as it was the crimson Dragon armor.
"That's all." she spoke quietly as she walked off into the halls, blood still dripping from her axe and leaving a trail on the steel floor.
--
"Simple as always, Vinnin." Levantris grinned as the guard dropped to the floor, dead.
"Nice one, boss! Now um, let's go find the others." Vinnin looked outside and had a crazy idea spark in his mind as he looked.
What if he could do a shout, an announcement, that was loud enough to reach the ears of the remaining Black Arm members? Obviously he'd attract the attention of the remaining Jipalar Guards, but he thought that he and Levantris could take out whatever was remaining.
"Boss. Do you mind if I do something completely crazy and un-thief-like at all?" he asked as Levantris exited the room. Levantris turned his head in curiosity, and Vinnin continued with,
"I can get everyone here. But I mean like, *everyone*, boss. Both ours and Jipalar guards. What do you say, boss? Should I do it?"
Levantris pondered this for a moment. Yes, it would be time-efficient to get everyone here without having to be look for them, but if the Jipalar guards were going to hear this, they would band together as well, and a big fight would ensue. Not all of the gang was as strong as Vinnin or as cunning as Levantris, and he guessed that the majority of them were unarmed. The only skills that they could probably be able to match the guards in was running and deceiving, and that wasn't much.

Ah well, when was the last time *he'd* ever put himself in actual danger?
"Do it. Run with me," Levantris commanded quickly as he took off, and Vinnin followed.
Vinnin took a deep breath, and then shouted at the top of his deep, manly voice,
"Hey!! Black Arms!! Get your rear ends over to where I am *right now*!!" the sound was strong enough so that Levantris could hear it echo through the walls of the warehouse, and he was almost entirely sure that everyone inside could hear Vinnin's scream.
"Vinnin, that's actually decent. Come with me... and rest your voice until we get there." Levantris had one place in mind, and if it was to be of any use, he had to gather everyone that was left in one spot.
That spot was the portal room, and even if the Varrock portal was faulty, Levantris had a hope that it still worked.
'There isn't any turning back now,' he thought as he and Vinnin shot down the corridors.
--
Pa*uet looked up from Sevan's corpse to hear a strange yelling, that actually seemed coherent enough to be made up of words. It had been a calling for the Black Arms to meet at a certain place, and it roused him to crawl down to the guards' room and meet Kalron, Odis, and Rob.
When he got into the room, the first thing he noticed was the three bodies of the dead men, and the shattered beds along with the portals. The portals caught his eye first, because that meant that there really *was* a simple way out of the place...
"By the gods, I don't get how this catastrophic scene could have taken place..!" Pa*uet's voice trailed off to a whisper. He was amazed at how a single force could do all of this destruction. Since there were no scorch marks on the steel or practically anywhere in the room, he couldn't imagine what monster could have done this.
"Pa*uet! Hey, look at this!" Odis called, and Pa*uet didn't seem to listen. He seemed to be in a daze, probably from seeing the scene that lay before him.

Odis called out for him again, and then Pa*uet shook his head slightly and then walked over.
The three thieves were clustered around the only two beds that hadn't been destroyed by whatever had been in here. He noticed the bag of Runes, which he would've hugged like a teddy bear if the thief hadn't been sleeping on the bed that the sack rested on. The thief rolled over in muddled sleep, yawning and mumbling. It was then that Pa*uet noticed a shocking fact; that thief was a woman, and had an arrow protruding out of her stomach that was from Sevan's bow.
"Who... Irtia." Pa*uet mumbled to himself as he looked down at the bag of Runes. Irtia had occasionally talked to him about Thessalia's clothes shop, as she was a rare customer there.
There had always been another woman, one that was her assistant and helped her sell her goods.
But how she ended up *here*, of all places in Gielinor, was a mystery that even he could not understand at all. Questions were raised immediately in his mind. Why did she join the Black Arms? Had she been forced to by some secret threat to Thessalia or herself? Thessalia's assistant did not seem to be the type who would be a thief, of all things to be in this world.
He also wondered why the Phoenix members had not already killed her; perhaps that honor code that they had mentioned was still important enough for them to uphold.
"We wanted to kill her, since she was defenseless, but we wanted to make sure it was alright with you before we actually did so," Odis said, interrupting Pa*uet's thoughts.
"Yeah, I mean... how do we know she ain't the one who took the bag of Runes from these guys? How do we know she ain't the one who did all this damage?" Rob added, as he looked at the wreckage again.
Kalron said nothing, and Pa*uet turned to the portals and walked over to them.

"I seriously doubt that a simple sewer could do this. She is not a demon, and neither does she know any magic. Irtia has made sure of this, because Thessalia always gets nervous around her, as well as the assistant." Pa*uet took a look at the broken Falador portal, and hunched over as he saw what he could do to repair it.
"Yeah. So what? Can we kill her or not?" Kalron spat quickly, but it sounded more impatient than plain cross.
Pa*uet walked back over to the huge sack of Runes, and began to harvest them into his own Rune bag.
"Actually... no. Not yet, at least. You see, I am extremely curious as to why she is here. So, you four can go out and find the others in a bit. Try to stay away from any remaining Black Arms or Jipalar Guards, and be back here with everybody as soon as possible." Kalron and Clyde went to go look at the portals, and Rob and Odis stayed with Pa*uet.
Pa*uet focused his newfound magical energy into his right hand, and it glowed a deep blue. With his other hand, he focused a stronger, clearer energy into it and took hold of the arrow, turning it intangible. He immediately pulled it out afterwards, and threw it to the side. Next, he applied the blue glow to the hole that was there, and it closed up with only minimal blood loss.
Sonia hadn't moved during the process, but she moved when Pa*uet rocked her shoulder gently, waking her up to his old face and his look of seniority.
“Wha? What’* what’s going on? Huh?” Sonia yawned and stretched her arms out, opening her eyes to see Pa*uet smiling at her.
“Rise and shine, little one… rise and shine.” It wasn't Pa*uet's smiling that put her off, but the two Phoenix members looking at her and the other two looking at the portals that did.
“Aah! What—how—why—“
“Don’t panic. First, tell me your name.”
“Why should I tell you? You’re with *them*, aren’t you?! I can*t trust you!”
Pa*uet, without turning around, gave a command to the four Phoenixes:

“Kalron. Odis. Robert. Clyde. Please leave this room for a while. You four keep a lookout and alert me if anyone comes, be they friend or foe.”
“Fine, Pa*uet.” Odis jogged across the room. Kalron and Rob followed; Kalron was mumbling something to Rob as they left. Clyde had already left before Odis even got halfway there.
“Now, do not try and fight me. I am armed with far more power than you can hope to handle.” Sonia did*’t look like she was about to fight Pa*uet anyways; rather, she looked shocked and then disappointed.
“You work with Thessalia, correct?”
“How do you know that? Who are you? By your looks, you can** possibly be a fighter or a ranger, but I could be wrong… I don’t know what--"
“We don’t have time for that nonsense. My name is Pa*uet. Just simply tell me your name. It won’t matter if you’re dead, anyways, so just tell me the answers of my questions and you’ll be fine.” Pa*uet sat on the bed, and patted it at a spot near him. Sonia took the hint and sat down next to him, although she felt like something was tugging at her to simply push him over and randomly jump into a portal. That little thought sounded pretty well to her too, but Pa*uet muted it by saying,
“First of all, I just want to know your name.”
“It’s Sonia.”
“Well, now, Sonia… what brings *you* to a treasure hoard such as *this*?” at first, Sonia was surprised by the straightforward, casual question, but then Pa*uet elaborated:
“Yes, I see that look. I know it’s probably quite the tale, but I won’t ask you to completely explain yourself. There’s not enough time. What I want to know is this: what’s the leader’s the plan for this place? Is he still alive, even?” Pa*uet’* expression grew more excited, as if that info was very crucial to him.
“He’s alive. But I’ll swear that I don’t know what he wants to do. He told me that he hoped we had enough loot to get back to Varrock with a decent enough amount of goods. That’s all he said before he left this room.”

Now this was interesting yet unusual to Paquet. If the leader had been the only one in the room besides Sonia, that means he must have done the catastrophic damage in it. That would explain the leader of the Jipalar Guard lying there, dead on the floor. He wasn’t sure what the black, shriveled thing that Odis had picked up was, though.
“Are you sure that your leader was the *only* other person in this room besides those three dead people?”
“Pretty much… but what are you doing here? Even if you are a good mage,” Sonia said as she noticed that the arrow in her stomach was gone and the hole sealed up,
“I don’t get why someone of your age would be here.”
“Well, with age comes wisdom and power, little one. Anyways… the question I’ve been wanting to ask. *Why* are you here, Sonia? Why?” Pa*uet’s face looked disappointed and sad, as if he was her grandfather who had just found out that his granddaughter was a thief.
“You said yourself it’s a long story… but I’ll make it short. It started with that blasted tornado. Then Levantris came and took me in. Then he made me come to this stupid Jipalar Deal. You don’t know how eccentric that man really is, although I guess you have a good example by that scene back there…” Sonia looked beside Pa*uet at the wreckage.
“Well, although I have many questions about the details, I can’t bother you for them now. I suppose I should—“
“They’re coming! They’re coming! Get ready, Pa*uet!” Kalron ran in, shouting in an alarmed voice, but it wasn’t the mad one that he sometimes used.
“What? Who’s coming?” Pa*uet immediately rose and faced Kalron, while the other three shot back towards where he was located.
A man wearing a hood and black robes masking Rogue armor ran in, although with a large, burly man with in a skeleton outfit with some strange protrusions coming out of his chest. Four other thieves scurried near the two standout figures. Sonia simply stood behind the beds, watching the scene in silence.

“Them! And the Jipalar Guards as well. Plus some blonde-haired person that was at the very back of the crowd who was fighting some person!” Odis grabbed Pa*uet’s shoulders and shook them, while he quickly said,
“You’re a mage, right? You have to fix those portals before everything gets crazy and before we all die! We need to get out of here! Those Jipalar Guards—“
“Say no more. I’m on it. You just keep everyone away from me until I’m done! It shouldn’t take me more than half a minute.” Pa*uet heaved the sack of Runes and carried it to the Varrock portal, but as soon as he got close, Levantris ran over to him.
He was out of knives, so he simply stood next to Paquet and spoke to him coldly:
“You. Mage. I’m not the least bit happy about this, but if my group wants to escape, I’m gonna have to let you stay alive to fix that portal.”
“And, who are you to interrupt me while the Jipalar Guards are going to get in here at any moment?” Pa*uet turned to look up at the man who had talked to him in such a fashion, and gasped.
“I know who you are. You… you’re their descendant! The second-in-command of the Black Arms! Oh, how I’d love to take up battle with you, but… you know what? Let’s face them. Even if I *do* fix this portal, those guards are just going to chase us all the way back home!” he stood up and looked Levantris in the eye, not fearing his cold stare.
“I’m willing to take the guards to Varrock than fight with you. But, our fate lies partly in your hands. You’re key to this. So, you choose…” as Levantris said this, the five Jipalar Guards came into the room, armed with their bazookas.
“…cause I’m not the one who’s gonna decide this.”
--
‘It is true… the guards will simply chase us and bust us if we let them through. Unless… of course! What is wrong with my memory tonight?!’ Pa*uet thought as he summoned some Runes from the sack, and quickly shot two groups of magical energy balls at the five Jipalar Guards.
