"Still, before any more idiot guards come over here, which I'm sure they will after hearing the wall bend like that, I'd better get the team and get whatever loot we can, before we all die." Levantris looked at Sonia, who was finally beginning to wake up, yawning and then groaning as she noticed that the arrow was still in her stomach.
"What... what happened?" she asked, noticing the shattered portals, destroyed beds, and bent wall on the other side of the room.
"Five words. One heck of a battle. Now, don't mess with that arrow. You pull it out, and I don't have any bandages or whatever to stop the immense bleeding that'll result. Of course you'll die if that thing's embedded in there too long, but it's better to keep it in there than ripping it out."
Levantris looked quickly at the entrance, which had a piece of bent, spiked steel protruding downwards and making it so that whoever wanted to get in or out would have to crawl to prevent being cut open by the huge spike.
"Oh. But I don't understand how--" she started, but Levantris cut off with,
"It doesn't matter how it happened. You don't need to know. It's pretty dangerous out there, what with all the Jipalar Guards running around and such. In fact, I wonder..." Levantris walked over to the guard that was lying on the floor, breathing hard and crying silently, tears already soaking his face.
"Yes. Indeed. Well, I may as well just put this one out of his misery." he took out a Runite knife, squat down, and quickly cut the man's throat.
Sonia looked away at the moment that Levantris killed the guard, and then looked at him and asked,
"So, exactly how are we doing? Do you know?"
Levantris turned around as he was proceeding to leave, and he said:
"Well, let's just hope we have enough to get by, ok?" Levantris walked to the entrance and got on the floor, crawling under the spiked steel that bent over and lowered the ceiling from the giant's fall.
