"Easy." Levantris got out another knife and threw it at the man's skull, and the man tried to scramble out from under the mattress in time to get back on his feet, and as he did, the knife punctured and went through his neck, right in the middle.
The man stopped moving as blood squirted out from the neck wound, and landed on the brick floor, turning it a burgundy color like it had done with Nali's blood. Levantris walked over and flipped the mattress off of the dead Phoenix man, taking the two knives that were in the huge thing and putting them in his belt. Then, he grabbed the sack and looked inside.
"Now, this is okay loot. Not bad for a Birdie..." Levantris remarked as he pulled out a handful of Runes, and then letting them all fall out of his hand back into the sack. He noticed that a lot of them were Nature and Blood Runes, while a couple were Air Runes.
Vinnin had noticed that the lights had come on, and he remembered the huge boom. It got his blood excited, and he walked around in the skeleton outfit, holding the scythe proudly. He heard the heavy footsteps of someone getting close to him, so he pressed himself against the wall and readied himself for whoever was coming.
"Get this!" Vinnin yelled as he swung the scythe out horizontally, and it caught into a huge man like himself, which dragged him on the floor. The man was shocked by the sudden blow and fell down, and dropped a strange, huge hand-held black weapon on the ground.
The man got up and turned around to see who had shoved a razor-sharp scythe through his armor and into his stomach, and noticed Vinnin dressed up in the skeleton outfit.
"What the?!" the Jipalar Guard shouted in fury as he took the scythe out of his stomach and got up, moving over to get his gun.
Vinnin immediately got up with him and tripped him again with the scythe as he was moving down to get the gun, and the man's chin smacked right into the larger part of the gun.

Since he was only wearing a med helm that left his chin unprotected, it hurt more as it hit the metal of the gun. Whatever was inside of it began to charge and glow red, and the man immediately picked it up and turned to Vinnin.
"Why don't you eat flaming granite, freak!" the guard shouted, but Vinnin was already on the move with his scythe, which pierced through the man's helmet and punctured his skull.
The man groaned in pain and fell over to the side, as the ammunition in his gun fired as soon as he hit the floor, and it made a huge dent in the wall, almost enough to break through it. The fireball had immediately neutralized as soon as it hit the steel, and the granite rock that was left was embedded in the wall.
"Huh, I was aiming for his neck, but that'll do!" Vinnin smiled as he took the gun and examined it carefully.
To him, it looked a very cool, new weapon that hadn't seen before. It would make a very nice piece of loot -- either that, or he could blow some guard's head off with it, if he knew how to work it.
"Well, I know *one* thing I can do with it!" Vinnin said to the guard as he rolled over, unable to get up. The guard had a glazed, drowsy look in his eyes, as if he had been struck in the part of the brain that controls sleep. Vinnin reached and pulled off his helmet, revealing a shiny bald head in the dim light of the corridor.
"G'night, baldy!" Vinnin shouted as he took hold of the gun and hit the guard in the head as hard as he could, knocking him out forever.
The gun immediately began to vibrate and charge up as soon as it recoiled off of the guard's head, turning red and hot.
"Oh man! Uh, uh, uh, uh!" Vinnin shouted as he held the scythe in one hand and the rapidly charging gun in the other, as he began to run down the corridor that the guard was originally going down.

The gun looked like it was about to explode, and Vinnin just threw it as far as he could, hitting the steel wall and exploding on contact, pieces of steel flying both ways from the small explosion. Vinnin saw that there was a room on the side of the hole that had been created, and that except for some crates that had been blown away, the room was untouched as of yet.
"Cool!" Vinnin rushed into the room and managed to crawl through the hole, and he noticed that there was some burnt parchment on the floor. He got up and swung his scythe into the nearest crate, hurled it upwards, and then brought it down with great force upon the ground, shattering it into pieces and making parchment scatter out all over the ground.
There were about a hundred of what looked like maps scattered all over the ground, and then Vinnin skimmed the maps quickly.
"Maps to places I don't care about. Well, I don't have time to read through all of these things, so I guess I'll just look for the boss." Vinnin considered taking one of the crates, but he wasn't sure if he should do it without Levantris's or Sonia'* permission. Besides, he didn't want to be carrying a heavy crate around and then run into a Phoenix gang member or Jipalar Guard, who would obviously take advantage of the fact that he was holding a crate and couldn't fight that well.
He exited the room and noticed that there was a dead Jipalar Guard on the floor up ahead, his right arm severed and his head chopped off. The head was facing into the stomach, and the entire scene was made more vivid by the puddle of blood that the body parts were lying in.
"Whoa, someone must've really *whipped* this guy! Baaaaaaaad!" Vinnin exclaimed as he walked past the corpse.
Pa*uet was rushing through the corridors, and caught sight of one of the Phoenix gang members, filling his sack with elemental staffs.
"Hey! Over here!" Pa*uet called to the man, and he came up to him.

"Yeah? What do you want?" the thief asked, the same height as Pa*uet. His face was red-masked like all the other Phoenix men, and he seemed hunched over from the sack.
"Two things. Are there any Runes in there, and can you protect me while we round up the rest of the crew?" Pa*uet looked left and right to see if there was anyone coming down the corridors. Another Phoenix man snuck out of one the room, his sack having little spikes in it. The other Phoenix man, the one standing next to Paquet, whistled for him, and the other thief turned around.
"Get over here, Clyde!" the thief shouted. Clyde, who was a rather skinny thief, even skinnier than Pa*uet, ran up to the two. He was shorter than both of them, although he was still adept at thieving.
"You got any Runes with you? Pa*uet wants us to guard him while we round up the crew."
"Nah, Odis, I got books. Nothing but books. I dunno what's in 'em, though. I don't read!" Clyde's voice was shady and soft, which agitated Pa*uet because he hated those types of voices.
"Well, let me see one! Hurry!" Pa*uet whispered, and Clyde put down the sack and took out a thin, old, greenish-gray book and gave it to Paquet. He flipped through the pages, skimming its contents, and found that there was nothing but faded pictures and hard-to-read captions in it.
"Shoot! Ok, we don't have much time. If a Jipalar Guard comes near us, you two have to help me out. Err, Odis, what kind of staves are in that sack?" Pa*uet turned to Odis and he replied,
"I got all the elemental kinds except for Earth, and I even managed to get some Mud and Lava staffs in the process. Dunno if they're battlestaffs, though; you'd have to make that call."
"Excellent! The only disadvantage is that I can't fire any attacks because I have no missile Runes. I'll have to improvise and use non-combat magic in combat. Hand me a Lava Staff and an Air Staff."

Odis looked behind him, while Clyde looked behind himself to see if there was anyone coming.
"Here." Odis handed him a Lava Staff and an Air Staff, which were glowing orange and white, respectively. Pa*uet took them in hand and looked into the orbs for a second, admiring their magical glow.
"Now, let's go!" Paquet said happily, and the three rushed off in a line, Clyde in front of Pa*uet, and Odis behind him.
The trio went around Jipalar for quite a while, passing nothing special in the process. About five dead Black Arm members, that had been slain by Pa*uet. He knew that, if none of the Phoenix had died, which seemed pretty unlikely at this point as the Jipalar Guards had already gotten into the warehouse, that there would be about ten more members to round up.
"Hey, look! A Black Arm member!" Clyde shouted, as the medium-sized thief looked back quickly, noticed that Pa*uet was in the middle and ran from the trio.
"He's mine! Hmm..." Pa*uet hummed, touching the two staffs' orbs together, and focused on creating a sentient fireball in the middle of the corridor that the Black Arm member was running down.
"Set!" Pa*uet shouted, and a large fireball much like the ones he had used to light Jipalar Warehouse before the built-in lights had come in appeared in front of the Black Arm member, right at the junction, and he ran into it and turned left.
"Come on, follow that nut!" Pa*uet shouted, and the trio followed the Black Arm man, tracking him by his constant screaming as he ran through the warehouse.
They followed him through the network of hallways until he almost crashed into another Phoenix gang member, who barely fell back into the room before the blazing man rushed by, crashing into the steel wall as there were no more junctions to take.
"Holy smokes! What the heck was that about?!" the surprised Phoenix gang member looked up at the trio that stopped in front of him.

"Just Pa*uet here utilizing his loophole to help us win the Deal." Odis winked at him, and the man got up and dusted himself off quickly.
"So, where are you three going?"
"Get everyone else. Dunno what we're gonna do next." Clyde said quickly in his shady voice, and then looked from his friend to Paquet.
"Well, erm... Kyle, Kevin... what was your name again? It's a little hard to keep track of the names since I've had a lot else on my mind these past few days." Pa*uet scratched his head and looked at the Phoenix thief in question.
"It's Kalron! Now, can we get going?!" Kalron rolled his eyes and stomped over to the left side of Pa*uet.
"I thought you said he wasn't bipolar." Pa*uet whispered to Odis.
"I did! Well, kinda... only once a week, though. You got unlucky." Odis whispered back to Paquet, while Kalron shouted,
"What are you saying?! We need to get moving or else we're gonna lose!!" his breathing was hard and his foot tapped on the steel floor impatiently.
"Alright! We're going, then! Anyone have any idea where to look?" Pa*uet looked at the three thieves as the four came up to the junction where the Black Arm thief had run right into and knocked himself out. The fire had already taken its toll, as there were horrible, black burns on the man's skin, and the Rogue armor had disintegrated in random spots.
"I don't know, ok?! Let's just hurry up already! Hmm, I think I saw Rob and Nelson split up across the same junction. We'd met together and agreed to split up. To be honest, I think they should've been back here by now... it's been enough time, and I told them to meet back here with me as soon as they were done." the sudden change in Kalron's voice from fuming to helpful and calm made the others' heads turn, freaked out by the change.
"So, which way then?" Pa*uet held his staffs erect on the steel floor, pointing straight up.

"I don't know. Let's go in Rob's direction first." Kalron bit his lip slightly, not entirely sure what dangers would lie in wait for them, or for Nelson if they had decided to put him on hold. That huge boom from earlier wasn't a good sign, and he had heard smaller booms much like a muffled version of Dwarf Multicannon fire.
"I don't really think it matters, if we can't split up. Unless we know what's more difficult or what's faster." Odis looked to the left, and to the right, both of which had empty corridors. The left's corridor ended more suddenly than the right's, which extended for a long way to the end.
"Well now, make up your mind. We can't stay here all night." Clyde kept looking behind him every now and then, making sure there was no one sneaking up on them.
The three murmured in agreement, and then Pa*uet turned to the left and pointed his Air Staff in that direction.
"Well, Kalron, you be the front line, then. Clyde, move to my backside. I'd rather have that protected than my left side. Odis, you're fine where you are. Let's keep our form. Now, move!" Pa*uet commanded, and then Kalron began to step forward, his tall, thin figure looking back to see that he wasn't walking too fast.
Pa*uet always looked quickly into the rooms that they passed by to see if there was anyone in there: a Phoenix member, a Black Arm member, or what he feared the most at this point, a Jipalar Guard. But he had only seen ten enter, and he had managed to kill one, so at least that was one-tenth of a huge worry off of his mind.
"Hmm. Anyways, while I have a moment's peace, let's see where each of these portals lead..." Levantris took the sack of Runes and put it next to the bed where Sonia was resting, and put his head through the first portal on the right, which was glowing a sky blue.

His head popped out in the middle of Falador, at night, where a thief wearing tattered brown clothes walked around through the misty darkness, easily seen and heard by Levantris.
"Tsk. Amateur." Levantris remarked as he took his head out of the light blue portal. He looked behind him, to make sure that there wasn't anyone coming in, and then he looked inside another portal, which was glowing a bright yellow.
He found himself staring at the ruined general store of Varrock, which had replacement framework already assembled. It was still in no condition to be a store as of yet, and noticed that there was a slow, cold wind in the night. He recognized that wind, and looked left and right cautiously before taking his head out of the portal.
"Well, it doesn't really matter where the other portals lead to, as long as we use the Varrock one to get back to the hideout." Levantris turned around, and heard the faint footsteps of a heavy man, obviously not a thief if he could hear them from such a distance.
The heavy man entered, strong and tough like Vinnin, although he seemed to look bigger than him, almost reminiscent of Savlon when he was Senior Thief. Even his black hair, which was long enough to wriggle its way out from under the medium helmet that he wore, was like Savlon's.
"You! You're dead, slime!" the man blew into the huge, black experimental weapon that he held. Instead of holding a handgun like the other guards had, he held a longer, double-barreled shotgun with huge holes at the end. The gun charged up and expanded in seconds, and then the man fired, not budging even an inch from the gun's internal explosion.
"Ah!" Levantris cried as two fireballs bigger than his head flew past him as he dived to the side. The fireballs barely flew above the fragile portals and burned two holes in the steel wall behind him, showing the outside world and letting cool air into the rather warm room.

"Ha! Bet you and your cronies wish you hadn't come in here, now, huh?!!" the man shouted and waited for Levantris to get up and try and fight back. He was focused on Levantris crawling behind the nearest bed.
Levantris noticed that he wasn't like the other guards. He just stayed in one spot, and didn't even try to blow him up when he was hiding behind the bed. Obviously this guy was a little smarter, or just liked to have a little challenge instead of just totally obliterating his adversaries, which he looked like he was pretty capable of doing even without the shotgun.
"Come on, now! Before I get bored and blow up that other thief that's taking a nap on my bed!!" the guard shouted, and aimed at Sonia, who was still unconscious on the bed next to the sack of Runes.
Levantris thought quickly. If he transformed the surroundings again, he might have a chance against the guard. But there were a lot of things bothering him that told him not to do it again. Still, he had to choose quickly. Would he fight the guard normally, or in the illusionary world?
"That's two... oh, I hate this. Hate it!" Levantris whispered to himself as he focused his energy into the crescent scar, which began to glow with the black light again. This time, it spread out much more quickly, and engulfed the guard within seconds. He wasn't too surprised by what was happening, although he was more alert now that the surroundings had changed.
"Here goes, then!" Levantris shouted, as he got up from behind the bed and unleashed his strange whip-like weapon with the huge pair of key rings at the end of it.
He found himself looking at a harsh-faced, rather bulky tan-colored earth warrior that was at least ten feet tall. The earth warrior radiated with an invisible aura of flame, that made Levantris feel small and weak before the rough, battle-scarred warrior.
"Err... Hmm!" Levantris shook the intimidation long enough to run close to the earth warrior and swing his weapon outwards.

The key rings opened up and encased the earth warrior around his huge waist and were being stretched and stressed, trying to encase his chest.
"No one will defeat me! Not now, not ever!" the earth warrior shouted in the guard's voice, although it sounded masked from the rock. The loud words penetrated Levantris's morale, and the key rings were on the verge of breaking apart as the earth warrior began to flex.
"Argh... shut, shut up, you! You can't bring me down! The one thing I've known from dealing with people like you, is that their hearts are always their weak spots!" Levantris shouted up to the earth warrior, who looked down and was amused as he broke the key rings in half, just as Levantris was about to initiate an attack with them.
"Feel this, you little urchin!!" the warrior suddenly grabbed hold of huge rocks that materialized out of nowhere, and dropped them all on Levantris, who quickly backflipped far enough to get out of their range. The rocks crushed all of the beds and the two Phoenix thieves' bodies, and then pieced together again and moved over Levantris.
"Well..." Levantris said, as a golden thought sparked in his mind; six of the huge rocks dropped around him, preventing any escape that he might have had.
"Well nothing, thief! Good night!" the warrior shouted as he dropped the final rock, but as soon as he did, Levantris smiled and sprinted up to one of the wall rocks and did a wall kick off of it, bouncing astoundedly high.
The torn whip in Levantris's hand immediately turned to a very sharp short sword, the tip made of gold, and the rest made of pyrite, even the handle and the hilt. While he flew up to meet the bottom of the rock, he implanted the sword in the bottom of the rock, and then flung it downwards into the bricks as he took the sword out and was sent hurtling towards the giant at high speed.
