"You've condemned our city to death!" a general shouted. "Are you insane?"
I looked to the south to see the Dragons circling, and making their way back to the battlefield.
"They're gonna finish us off first!" Shouted a ranger.
The Dragons flew overhead once more, and I tried to get a quick count of them. There were at least five score of them, green, blue, red and black. And of course, the King Black Dragon.
They all opened up their mouths in unison, and let down a torrent of flames, obliterating all it enveloped. Luckily for us, their targets were the undead.
I stood in awe at what was happening, dozens of undead being incinerated before my very eyes.

The pungent smell of burning flesh quickly filled the air as our opponents were sent back to the afterlife. I looked at the King Black Dragon, the three heads each picking their own targets, raining down fire and ice as they flew above the army. Even though scores upon scores of the undead were defeated, scores more yet remained. The mages and archers quickly got back to work, their arrows and spells complemented the dragon's efforts. I heard Josh speak from behind me as some of the dragons broke off from the main Varrock battlefield and headed west, scorching the undead army as they flew.
"You should go to Karamja and see how the battle is fairing there."
I took a quick glance into my orb, and knew instantly that my help there was needed.
"Okay, I'll go there, do me a favor though."
"Yes?"
"Tell some of your Temple Knights to go there too. I'll need all the help I can get. Also, look after Rose and Lydia for me, they are up on the battlements there."
I pointed towards them both, and Josh turned around to look.
"Consider it done."
"Also, hold this for me." I threw the orb to Josh.
I rubbed my Amulet of Glory and teleported to the carnage that was now Karamja. Fire and smoke was almost everywhere, the banana plantation was all but ruined.

The burnt embers of palm trees and smouldering bushes could be seen for miles. I could see to the west, some ships were sailing by. I could also hear the sounds of cannon fire in the distance. I steeled myself and sprinted to the south. The hot sun was quickly drying me and my armour, it was great to finally be out of the rain. Suddenly a zombie draped in the robes of the Veritus Vos Liberit sprang out from the bushes and knocked me down. I quickly got up, feeling a sharp pain in my shoulder. I managed to withdraw my blade in time for the zombie to come at me again, and I stepped back.

As he fumbled forward I thrust my sword into it's chest, and in the same motion switched my grip on the hilt so the sword became a stabbing weapon, much like a dagger. I pulled it across his chest, and most of the upper body fell to the floor. Satisfied I had finished off my opponent, I sprinted south once again. The sounds of cannon fire were now becoming louder.
My feet finally met with sand, I had reached the beach. I looked around to survey exactly what needed to be done. Around nine ships had beached themselves, and dozens of flesh-hungry zombies were piling out. I looked around for Narayan, spotting him was an easy task however. Justin and Kzahaar were firmly locked in battle with him, or rather his re-animated corpse. Some dwarves and tribesmen had made the mistake of crossing his path, their limp bodies scattered about affirming the fact that they had paid the ultimate price.
Most of the dwarven multi cannons had been obliterated, and a few dwarves ran around trying to get them fixed. Some of the Black Guard were shouting orders and taking on the undead, but their efforts seemed futile. I wished the dragons had been kind enough to follow me here, but I knew we now had to win this battle without their help.
I ran down the beach, heading for Narayan and chopping down zombies as I went.

My shoulder was starting to hurt again, I must have fell on it harder than I thought.
Justin saw me running towards the fight, and nodded towards me. Kzahaar also nodded.
"I hate deja vu!" Justin shouted as he ducked one of Narayan's strikes. At least this time the behemoth didn't have his maul, nor the brain capacity to use his fists effectively. Kzahaar charged in and swung his Great Axe, and managed to cleave a large **** into our foe's gut.
I quickly followed up the strike with a slash into his lower back. He seemed completely unphased by it, and swung his arm in a backwards motion. I managed to duck out of the way and take a few steps back.
"He don't have the brains this time, but he certainly is a whole lot tougher now!" Kzhaar shouted.
One of the cannons behind me suddenly shuddered into life and starting spinning around, looking for opponents. It locked onto Narayan and fired. The cannon made a massive booming sound as a cannon ball shot through the air and landed into Narayan'* gut. The force knocked him over, and Kzahaar quickly took the initiative with Justin by his side. They both laid into him, trying to decapitate and finish off our enemy once and for all. Crimson blood and rotten flesh coated the axes as they hacked at the jugular. I ran to their aid, and planted my sword into the forehead of Narayan. He stopped moving, yet Kzahaar and Justin continued hack and slash away.
"This time you won't come back!" Justin yelled.
The head finally come loose, and I withdrew my blade. It was covered in brains.
"There is still much to do." I said, a thought obviously shared by my comrades as they split up and got back to work on the other zombies. I looked to the east, dozens of ships were headed towards Port Sarim. I estimated it would take them around ten hours to get there. That may seem like a long time, but with our forces spread out like they were, I was unsure if we could meet them with suitable resistance.

I was shaken from my thoughts by a massive explosion from behind me. I turned around to see the volcano of Karamja ignite itself with lava and flame. The volcano was erupting! A massive volume of smoke rose from the top, ash being spread for miles around.
I couldn't move, I knew that I had to, but my legs would not budge. Many people had stopped fighting to see what the noise was, all except the natives. They had an immense panic in their eyes. I could hear them speaking to each other in their native tongue. I was unclear about what they were saying, but a few words kept cropping up - TzTok-Jad. I grabbed one of the natives as he ran past.
"What's going on?" I demanded.
"You let me go now, bwanna, the wrath of TzTok-Jad is upon us, we have feared this day will come!"
"Who, or what is TzTok-Jad?"
The tribesman struggled free from my grasp and ran into the jungles.
"Justin, what the hell is happening?"
Justin turned to me, his grin bigger than ever.
"The Tzhaar will help us after all."
"What do you mean?" I asked. "What's the volcano erupting got to do with the Tzhaar?"
"You hear what the natives are saying? TzTok-Jad?"
"Yeah, what of it?"
"TzTok-Jad is quite possibly the strongest creature ever. The Kalphite Queen and King Black dragon look like goblins by comparison. The Tzhaar use him in their fight pits, he is the final fight an adventurer would have there. No one has lived to describe the battle."
"Then why fight it?"
"Word is the Tzhaar have created a cape made from fire itself, and it offers unparalleled protection to the wearer. That is the prize for defeating the monster TzTok-Jad."
A zombie had managed to get close to us whilst we were talking, I quickly readied myself but he was struck down before I had the chance to do it myself. A Temple Knight stood above his target. The contingent of Knights I had requested from Josh had arrived.

"Help with the clean up of this beach, tell your men to do the same. We need as many of these undead stopped as quickly as possible, we will shortly be leaving." I said to the knight. He gave me a quick salute and carried out my orders.
A dwarf approached me, carrying around a box of tools. "What do you require of us?"
"Concentrate on getting your cannons repaired, you must work quickly."
"Okay!" The dwarf waddled off, and I returned my attention to the volcano.
Another explosion ripped through the mouth, only this time a gigantic claw appeared and gripped onto the edge. Another appeared, and took hold. A behemoth of a monster started to pull itself out of the volcano, apparently unaffected by the lava.
"By the Gods, what is that thing?"
I looked around to see a Fremmenick warrior staring in awe at the volcano.
"A ray of hope. Tell your fellow warriors to prepare for departure. Do any of you have your lyres?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"

"Once we've finished off the undead here, we're all leaving. This place will very quickly become unsafe due to the ash and lava, not to mention that monster you see. You have a choice, teleport to Falador and help out there or return to Relleka."
"I'll decide when the time comes, for now we have undead to finish off here."
I nodded and looked back at the volcano. TzTok-Jad had now pulled himself out of the volcano mouth and was surveying the sea. Despite the distance between us, I could get a good look at him. He was massive, by far one of the largest monsters I had ever seen. His gigantic red mass seemed to be pulsing with lava, which was dripping freely from him in droves. A massive horn was protruding from his snout, which was accompanied by many other spikes and horns lining his back. He was a truly horrific looking beast, which would strike fear into the hearts of men with ease.
He suddenly stood upright onto his hind legs and started stomping around. The thunderous sound could be heard even from where I was standing. A massive ball of flame shot out from TzTok-Jad aimed in the direction of the sea. One of the boats sailing towards Port Sarim was obliterated in an enormous explosion, bits of wood and flames shooting out in all directions. TzTok-Jad let rip with another fire ball, and once again another ship was decimated.
Most of our forces started cheering, and a smile had spread across my own face. Perhaps this wasn't so hopeless after all.
TzTok-Jad continued to rain down fiery hell upon our foes, until all of the ships were gone. I looked around, we seemed to now also have the beach under control. Small groups of undead were running around, but were quickly brought down.
The dwarf that approached me earlier returned, his tool box now empty. Saradomin only knows why he was still carrying it about with no tools in it.
"The cannons are ready, but there are few targets. What are your plans?"

"Set them to fire upon any ships that come near here. I want them left here in case any more ships decide to sail by when we're gone."
"Okay, I'll set them up." He waddled off once again, tool box in hand.
I looked back towards TzTok-Jad, who was quickly being surrounded by Tzhaar. He seemed pleased with his efforts, and headed back into the volcano. A large group of Tzhaar had started to descend the volcano, heading towards us.
I felt a strange sensation suddenly come over me, like when you activate a teleport spell. The beach melted away and was quickly replaced by blackness.
I reached out trying to grab onto something but there was nothing there, only blackness. I tried to move my legs, but it didn't feel like they were on solid ground. I then realised that I was falling, surrounded by darkness and dropping through the void in a helpless struggle. A voice suddenly boomed out.
"Do not panic. You shall not be harmed."
"What is this?" I demanded. Another voice spoke out, this one female.
"Be calm, we are here to help you. We do not have much time."
"Time for what?" I asked, doing the exact opposite of what they had told me, panicking.
"We are what you refer to as 'Listeners.' We are of the same creed as Tuoni."
"And what do you want of me? Last time I met one of you his intentions were less than helpful."
There was a short silence. I looked around trying to gather my bearings, but I was surrounded by sheer blackness, dark and deep. The female voice spoke out again.
"That is in the past, and you dealt with him in an adequate fashion. He was one of the few of us that actually supported Tuoni on his maniacal crusade. We on the other hand, do not. We are sick of his ways and his constant thirst for blood. We understand that the destruction of our world was our own fault, and as such have no desire to obey him."
"What of this magical field?" I asked. "Were you not to raise it again so we would all turn against each other?"

"We raised it for a few days, in order for Tuoni to think that we were with him. We lowered it shortly after the incident with the human you call Rose. She was possessed by an incredible power, which exceeds even our own. If she could harness it properly, she would become the greatest magic user ever known. Us lowering the field also has the beneficial side effect of taking away that power from her. She could not harness it, not yet."
"Then what is it you require of me?"
Another moment of silence. My desperation to get out of this void grew. Once more the male voice spoke.
"Yes, back to the point. It's simple, you have been chosen to destroy Tuoni. All we want is to live the rest of ours days in peace. This is not possible with Tuoni's constant blood****. We shall endow you with the knowledge of where he is. You must ask Rose to teleport you there when you are ready. We understand you may be busy for a while, dealing with his puppets."
"Wait, why me? Why not do it yourself?"
"In our time, killing another was an inconceivable act. That of course changed after the magic field came about, but I digress. We could never willingly kill one of our own, even one as evil as Tuoni. You possess great skill and power, even if you do not realise it yet. You are the best choice for killing him."
"But, wait...how do I..."
Suddenly the dusty and ashen laid sky of Karamja appeared before me. I was lying in the sand, with Justin standing over me. He quickly took hold and pulled me up.
"I know it's hot buddy, but passing out is not an option here. We've got company."
"I...I didn't pass out, the...the Listeners contacted me."
Justin looked at me, his grin vanishing in an instant. "What did they say?"
"They are against Tuoni, and are on our side. Sort of. They want me to kill him, there, across the sea."
I found myself pointing to the south, knowing where he was. Yamabushi had been kind enough to tell us whereabouts he was, but now I knew.

I knew EXACTLY where he resided.

"We'll talk later, the Tzhaar are here."
A rather tall being made from what seemed rocks and lava was standing before me. There were a few more with him, of various shapes and sizes. This particular one was black with red veins, each one pulsing away. He was holding a unique looking sword, and was draped in a cloak which appeared to be woven from small flat stones. It clinked and rattled in the breeze.
"You, TzHaar-Hur, I just hear you speak. You say you talk with Listeners? Is this true?"
"Er, yeah. Do you know them?"
The others started murmuring amongst themselves.
The Tzhaar shook his head and raised his hand, silencing the others behind him.
"If you have spoken with them, you are chosen TzHaar-Hur. We know of this war, it happened since dawn of time. We were safe, buried near planet's core. If you are chosen, you must take this, it will help you."
He unclipped his cape and handed it to me. It seemed to weigh a ton. I threw it over my shoulders and buckled it into place.
"Good luck TzHaar-Hur, now get off island and take friends with you. Once volcano starts, it does not stop. Go now, it is not safe."
One of the dwarves blew into his horn, and they started teleporting away. The Rellekans and Temple Knights did the same.
"Woah, they gave you an Obsidian Cape! You're lucky man!" Justin said.
I started walking south, towards the tree I had placed the scrying orb into earlier. "A what cape?" I asked.
Kzahaar had rejoined us, and was walking with Justin. "One of the better capes around, offers very good protection." He said.
I reached the tree which had been pockmarked with arrows and hacked with swords. I gave it a swift kick and the orb fell onto the sand. I picked it up and placed it into my backpack.
"That's great." I said. "But, we must go now. Falador still may need us." With that, we left Karamja to the mercy of the volcano.

It seemed that my assumption was correct, Falador did indeed need us. A large group of zombies had managed to break through the barricades and were now running rampant throughout the town centre. Luckily for the owners, they had been wise enough to barricade themselves in. The banks, shops and barbers were all solidly boarded up. This did not stop the undead from trying, however.
"Justin, Kzahaar, take some of the Temple Knights and clean up the western side of town, I shall go with the remaining Black Guard and Rellekan warriors to the east side."
"Okay, be careful." Justin said, and ran off with the others.
I quickly made my way to the eastern side of Falador. This was the most populated area. Although not often frequented by shoppers, it instead held the homes of many of the citizens.
Around fifteen zombies had started trying to get into the houses here, and I barked a few orders, spreading our forces so that we could take them down in the most efficient manner. I was glad that the Rellekans had decided to stay, I felt the same way about the Dwarven Black Guard. I could not take down this many foes without their assistance.
"Bashlan, Gorbash, Rakkir, Jarlim, take my left flank. Jik*ak, Dokkal, you back them up. Should any of these monsters try and escape, take them down."
"Yes, Dokkir." They replied in unison.
"Aofu, Febi, Gido, Hak, Meroki, I need you to take my right flank, but keep an eye out for surprise attacks. That is the weaker side, due to the access behind the houses there. Undead may be lurking there too."
They all grunted approval.
"Okay, lets get this over with. Charge!"
The zombies had seen us approaching, and had turned to greet us in their own macabre way. They also charged in, but their reasons different. They wanted to eat us, we simply wanted these gruesome freaks gone.
